I haven't played any of the others on elder's list, but I almost completely agree with both of those. The story is interesting in a way, but it's just so drawn out. I guess if you count the dating sim stuff as story, that's pretty boring. I never played one before, but I imagined there'd be more progression in the "relationship".

I'd recommend battle princess if it's cheap. Though I think it's higher now than it was when I bought it.

Yeah the dating sim stuff in Conception 2 just went on and on and on (and on). I tried reading it all, but gave up and just held the fast forward button for most of it. It was also super awkward doing those baby-making scenes on the bus. Such weird shit, that game.

I tried to play Mafia 2 on either PS3 or Xbox360. Just didn't care for it. Not sure what it was. Maybe the driving mechanics? I already have Guacamelee. Played some on vita and got stuck. Lost that save. I have the championship edition from one of eastx's streams but haven't played it yet. The others I don't know too much about.

Anyone watching this Orioles game on MLB.TV?  It's the free game of the day, and it's fucking weird with the stadium completely empty.  PA announcer is still doing his thing though for some reason.  Looks like the foul line ball girls will finally be able to bring home some souvenirs of their own though.

It wasn't that much of a catch, I just had to count all the palm prints on my face. I was pretty interested in the Play games and you got $10 back if you got them all, so I did. And then I probably spent the $10 on something else they eventually gave us free.

I tried to watch it, but forgot I'm blacked out from White Sox games, which makes total sense since Chicago is at the top of Illinois and I'm at the bottom of Indiana. Stupid MLB blackout policy.

 
The Plus list isn't too bad this month. Guacamelee is the only one I already own. I haven't played it yet, but it isn't a full-on slap since I won it from an eastx giveaway stream.

The biggest slap I got today is the Mordor GOTY. I opened my Black Friday copy awhile back and never started it up. I could've returned it to Walmart!

I'm happy with the May lineup. I knew we'd get Hohomkum eventually. Want to check out Race for Sun. The other games are just a bonus to me plus my birthday is in May.

I'm listening to it and it is pretty freaking surreal. Kind of fascinating. You can hear stuff you never hear, like the fielders calling their teammates off for a catch. Not only the PA announcer, but they are playing music too. I want to know if they're going to do the hotdog race still.

I dont really care to play any of the plus games this month even though I only have Guac which I played on PS3 and Race the Sun which I havent gotten to yet.  But no SLAP as I got it free from the stream of he who shall not be named (thanks Eastx!  woops...).

Where's BlueArcana with the slap gif when I need her/him? Darn Unfinished Swan and Hohokum. I didn't pay much for the former and got the latter free so I guess that's not too bad.

I'm glad we're getting Guacamelee for free. We got it on XB1 for free so I couldn't justify paying for it on PS4 when I already bought and played the game and DLC on PS3.

Ether One looks interesting to me so I'm most happy about that. Race the Sun and Murakami Baby seem alright. Like munky said, with the history of promo titles going free I'm a lot less likely to pay for them at launch. I got super burned last spring and learned my lesson. That's why I only bought HLM2 and Shovel Knight and played them immediately to lessen the blow.

Truly it's not surprising. The majority of games Plus gives away are downloadable titles, and generally they try to make sure the review score is at least around 70 on Metacritic. Most games they have in these promos are usually going to get high review scores, so makes sense that they keep popping up on Plus around 6 months later.

 
I bought Race the Sun when it was new, but I played it quite a bit so no blow. It's pretty addicting and fun even though it's a small experience.

Also, did you hear that the next series with the Rays will be here in St Pete but it will be a home series for the Orioles. The Orioles set the ticket prices and get all the revenue from the series but also have to pay all expenses. The Rays normally do a bunch of games between innings and whatever but wont put anything on since its supposed to be home games for Baltimore. Pretty interesting.

I hope MLB 15 The Show gets a patch so you can play in an empty stadium.

But for real, all this Baltimore stuff is nuts.  Yesterday the mall by me, the leasing office in my apartment complex, and I'm sure a bunch of other stuff was closed.  The building I work in also closed at noon.  None of this is anywhere near downtown either.  People just freaked out.  There's also a state of emergency and 10pm curfew going on.  There was a news crawl about it on the network tv stations last night saying you can basically only be out if you are commuting to or from work and have an ID and papers explaining why you have to work.  It also literally said "You can go to the hospital if you need medical attention."  Uh, thanks?
