Yeah, they do adjust if you already own other items in the bundle, but I own the other two games on Steam

Oh, I grasp what it means...I sorta want to call it misleading, I think technically it's not incorrect though, what they are claiming. GOG has some creative word-play (intentional?) and some janky discount mathematics going on depending on what you select, but lets take a look at GOG's press type release:

"Blaster Bundle - with 7 games up to 50% off, including the upgraded Star Wars X-Wing & TIE-Fighter series, and more Lucasfilm games brought back into the digital world from old CDs and dusty floppy disks."

If you don't buy the whole bundle, the best discount on a game (individually) is 25%. Discounts remained the same as getting each game individually, until you select the entire bundle, where then the bundle is really 37% off in total with 3 games out of 7 hitting 50% off. Eh, their press release claim is not incorrect, it's just a bit odd how it all "works".

"Saber Bundle - with 10 games at a flat 77% off, including Star Wars Battlefront II, Knights of the Old Republic I & II, the two Dark Forces games, and our two new completely new releases: Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast & Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy."

Ok, you only get 77% off if you get all the games...otherwise, if you remove one (or more) game(s), your discount drops to 40% - 46% ish.
I'd be curious if you get the bundle at 77% off if you own 1 or more of these games (I don't and I'm not taking one for the team... ;)). So again, technically, if you own none and get all the games, you get the full 77% off. Not sure what happens if you already own 1 or more (Do you get 77% on the remaining? do you only get somewhere in 40% - 46%?).

It's a bit weird that both bundles are structured differently. I think it's slightly misleading, but whatever.

Why am I even analyzing this? Am I an idiot? (I prefer the term moran...) When was I assimilated by ToasterNet and am I now turning into MysterD? I have too much time on my hands?....maybe I don't want to go back to playing Kane & Lynch: Dead Men....

Well, I could, but really if you want the individual games (70% off) as far as GOG's Saber Bundle(~50% off) is concerned, you are better off buying them on Steam EXCEPT FOR THAT FILTHY, DISGUSTING DRM!!!

Also, if you wanted to buy GOG's Saber Bundle, you could instead, buy Steam's Star Wars Collection for $0.56 cheaper and also get 4 additional games. Which is a good deal, EXCEPT FOR THAT FILTHY DISGUSTING DRM!!!!

except the majority of games ive tried that were installed via galaxy dont actually open correctly with galaxy.  Either get a missing 'lnk' file error, dosbox immediately exits, or some other variations of quick exits. Looks like it just doesnt setup the environment correctly when it launches

Guess that doesnt matter much if your not trying to play them though :)

Have these been lower? I'm getting more into GOG lately and am thinking about a big splurge on all these games from my youth. Even though I already own the inferior KQ and SQ collections on Steam.

Your library didn't double overnight with lots of repeat listings. Mine did.

What was wrong with having all the games listed under one entry? All Leisure Suit Larry games, for example, were available under one box. But now I have eight. Two different versions of LSL1 and LSL6 (VGA and non VGA versions.) Unbundling makes sense if you're using the client, but a lot of us have no need for the client. The forum has a huge thread where people are complaining about this and GOG hasn't said a single thing.

Make it optional. That way everyone is happy. But nope.

And I just noticed the Fallout games are missing from my shelf. God. Damnit.

I am tempted by KQ 4-6, 7-8 and Zeus but I am pretty sure they have been cheaper.  Those early Sierra games give me retina burn.

I think they give me mind burn. So many of those puzzles in King's Quest were tough. I only had 5 I believe. I'll never forget that stupid desert died there so many times (draw a map if you get it). I'm tempted by KQ 4-8 and Roger Wilco games. There is wonderful remakes of KQ 1-3 so I know I will play those instead.

I'm so tempted on the Star Wars shooter games (X-Wing and Tie Fighter in particular). I want a better price....50% off is good enough for me on those....maybe 60%....75% off and it would be a no brainer.

Yeah, I'm missing 2 & Tactics. Thank god I installed those to my Mac.

 
Fallout games vanishing is some sort of a bug, they come and go. I just don't want to contact support over this.

Out of curiosity, did you buy your copies of the Fallout games? Or did you get yours from the freebie promo just before they got yanked from the store?

Free. I actually think I may have gotten them on another account, I don't really remember. I know my current account has been active since May 2013 & it has the first FO game in its library which is what lead me to believe that this the account I used to get all 3.

I traded for 'em, I had a ton of Starcraft CD keys hanging around and got a whole ton of Interplay games back during their maybe goodbye promo.

I bought Interstate '76 Arsenal for $1.49 (75% off) on May 14, 2014. So yeah, it looks like isthereanydeal missed a few (and probably most, if not all) Insomnia deals.

One feature I wish they'd talk more about is crossplay.  Apparently they are allowing play between both steam and gog versions of games. Interested to see which games added multiplayer as well since the last time I tried the alpha I didnt really see any

Lame, now I don't feel special getting accepted into the beta a few days ago.

Those things are pretty near the whole point of having a client in the first place. And before someone says 'But it's an alpha/beta/gamma/whatever!' They announced the damned thing nearly a year ago and it's been in external testing in some form (they packaged an early version of it with the Witcher Adventure game beta) since last July.

Wake me when there's actually some useful features.

It'll be a while, and by a while I expect to take 3 years minimum to complete. They still haven't fixed some very basic shit with their forum (it's nearly impossible to search for anything on it, and the rep system is broken.. I get derepped daily without posting there).
