I don't think you know what white knighting means. All I see are logic and facts (mine) vs 12 year old left wing anti-corporation bullshit that gets spewed 200 times a day. You didn't pay for a Steam key when it came out, as it wasn't on Steam. The end.
It's still white-knighting when you do it. I know you want to call it something else because it's you, but it still is what it is. You are white-knighting for the dev. Call it what whatever helps you sleep better at night.

I think, logically abd technically, you're definitely right. But based on established precedent people assume they'll get a key. It's compounded by the fact that the company said they weren't going to put thegame on steam so a lot of people probably bought on false pretenses. Either way I don't understand devs who do this because it's pretty bad pr

It obvious they assumed they wouldn't need Steam and wanted to keep the maximum amount of profits in house. When the game turned out to be shit and word spread, they had no choice but move it to the digital heavy weight for the increased revenue.

I don't give a crap about the developer, the games terrible. You might want to see someone about your entitlement issues. We can do some one on one sessions, I charge via steam gifts.

Can you guys please wage your flame war with more consideration.  [customspoiler='This']entitled[/customspoiler] is a trigger word for some of us.

You know what's funny? That a large amount of the people that align with you politically proudly consider themselves White Knights, but for different reasons.

Maybe you should check your privilege and stop making assumptions about other people. I've had this situation happen to me and didn't feel entitled to anything or jilted for having paid for something non-Steam and not receiving a key. That said, I still think that's how it should have been handled.

Which political affiliation would that be? Surely, you wouldn't be associating a libertarian with the KKK? You know, assumptions and all that, right?

Now your whole issue with names makes complete sense.

People who want Steam keys aren't entitled, they are merely creditors awaiting what they are owed by the debtor.

Of course calling yourself a libertarian wouldn't really change anything about my comparison considering Murray Rothbard was a bigot who believed blacks were genetically inferior and he supported David Duke's run for governor.

But again, considering you don't know what a white knight is, I'm not surprised you'd call yourself a libertarian without knowing what that is either.

I'm sure this discussion between bruticus and fox will totally come to an amicable resolution where one gathers previously unknown information from the other in order to formulate a new opinion, and both members as well as the board as a whole are made better for it as a result of their personal involvement and third party observation, respectively.

Ah, sounds like someone just got triggered. Which butthurt race card will you be applying next?

Puzzle Dimension is $0.29. Great deal and hasn't been bundled.

Revolution Ace is $0.19 and has cards, but it was in an IR a few months ago.
I'll vouch for puzzle dimension being worth it. It's a good puzzler whose combination of gameplay and music makes it actually pretty relaxing. As a result Its the rare puzzler that can be tricky without ever being too frustrating

I'm not the one who brought politics into the discussion.

I'm smart enough to know that one's desire for a Steam key for a game one paid for is likely not tied to or related at all to political affiliation.

But if you want to keep believing the liberal scum feels entitled to Steam keys and that you aren't a white knight, then it's your right. You won't see me respond to you about this issue again because you've shown that when confronted with real facts you just move to deflection and name calling.

There's nothing worth discussing with the likes of someone like you. Don't worry though, I'm not going to give up and I'll continue to correct and re-educate you as the situations arise. There's a tiny glimmer of hope, even for someone like you.

Someone like you? What's that supposed to mean? Just admit it. You're foxist

I wonder where the "reeducation camp" is?

Well here I think the way pretty much everybody operates is to not buy something until it's either in a bundle or 75% off, although everybody has their exceptions, like how a bunch of people just bought killing floor 2. Typically my pricepoint for a AAA game is 7.50 or less, unless it's something I really want to play, then I have no problem even paying full price for it.

I'm not really sure what you're getting at though, to be honest. Buy something if you want to play it and don't if you don't.

Buy whatever games at whatever prices at your own discretion.

Some of us here have certain things we break the usual #CAGWorthy rules.

Could be games in certain genres, series, from certain developers, want to support a certain game finally hitting the PC for the first time ever, want to support a certain game finally hitting the PC that hasn't been here in year, or for whatever reason - to which we are willing to buy #FakeyBro style or at weaker discounts than we'd normally do so.

I think most of us here wait for 75% off sales or better or be hopeful a game winds up in a bundle (i.e. HumbleBundle, IndieGala, BundleStars, etc).

I have a tendency, when I actually do decide to #FakeyBro a game or buy at a weaker than 75% off discount to do so w/ RPG's - especially from Bethesda, BioWare, and CD Projekt. I love RPG's and if I'm dropping some coins, I want it to be a time-sink and a half.

When I do so - that game is in the "Play ASAP" club. If I'm dropping good coin on a game, I ain't gonna let it sit around and gather dust. If it gets a sale where it's cheaper than I paid for it and I still ain't touched it - well, then shame on me; I screwed-up.
Yeah I did 50% off in 2010 and 2011 for genres I loved and thought I would play right away. Problem was that I thought I would have all sorts of time to play games. Now it's $7.50 or less for anything not a deep isometric rpg from a developer I trust. Then it will probably be kickstarted and promoted because I want it to hit stretch goals. Of course if I don't get around to playing PoE soon that will be wasted money and they probably didn't need me to hit stretch goals...

Edit: Fun fact while looking up what I paid for Dragon Age and when I found out I had a gamersgate account I forgot about.

That's not how my education program works. I'll assume you're probably a product of the failed public education system with the silly discussion talk. When I educate, I tell you what's right and what's wrong. You just nod your head and take notes, they'll be a quiz at some point.
