This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

So while looking through old game receipts it looks like I had x-com collection from the very first incarnation of direct2drive. Would I be correct in assuming that those games are long gone if I can't track down the install files on my computer?

That's not how my education program works. I'll assume you're probably a product of the failed public education system with the silly discussion talk. When I educate, I tell you what's right and what's wrong. You just nod your head and take notes, they'll be a quiz at some point.
I said take notes, which implies being able to write (and read).
Looks like spelling won't matter though, so I think they'll do fine.

I've seen what the kids are being taught... it's a wonder they can read and write at all...

2 + 2 requires a line graph, a venn diagram, and 3 strikes any more before they give the kid a C+.

All this started because of Elite: Dangerous.

Damn you E:D!  See what you've done!

Nope, I have them there too. The install files are still available.

You -might- be able to ask for a Steam key since they sell the set as a key now.

Bruticis' Bruticis is much like Colbert's Colbert. I bet he can even quote The Silmarillion when he's not in his O'Reilly personality.

Damn you ED! See what you've done!
ED has caused me all kinds of problems too.

Don't know.

Is anyone going to Fakeybro/Kickstart the Igavania that showed up on Kickstarter? Its led by Koji Igarashi, the lead on SOTN. It looks pretty good, but its $28 for a digital copy. I think this'll be my first time using KS since I loved the series.

Damn that looks cool, and I haven't even played that many Castlevania games.

I'll hold out for the inevitable Kojimastarter though.

I'm thinking it over... it's more expensive than I was hoping... $15 would be a mindless shaddupandtakemymoney.gif

I need to look into it more closely.

shes the sherriff?
What?!? That's not even remotely a 70's sitcom...

I'm pretty sure I'm right*... it's Suzanne Somers from Three's Company.

She has been criticized for her views on some medical subjects and her advocacy of the Wiley Protocol, which has been labelled as "scientifically unproven and dangerous".[2][3] Her promotion of alternative cancer treatments has received criticism from the American Cancer Society.[4]
*fine, we're both right, but I'm more right

(yes, that is Suzanne Somers) The reason this sprang to mind is that my mother-in-law recommended this book to my wife. :bs:

Three's Company?
That could be an issue with ED too. Negotiating those menage-a-trois situations can be tricky indeed.

I'll be fakeybroing this, too. Or is supporting a game from Kickstarter considered Motokiing? ;)

SOTN was the best game in the entire Castlevania canon. Not even the Nintendo handheld versions can compete. I've played 'em all aside from the GB/GBC games, which I'll have to break the old emu out for sometime soon.
