Actually, I think Sonic is the one to use if going for the plat, with Tails as a backup if you need better handling. That's what I did, anyway.

I haven't used him much since he is already upgraded and I would rather level up racers as I play. Most of the racers I've tried have worked fine for expert as long as I use the right mod. On some of the races though I need the better handling/acceleration of Amy / Tails in order to stay competitive in the race.

 
What's up, everyone? Long-time lurker and trophy whore here. It's awesome that the PSN crowd has such an active thread here. Hope to be a part of it.
 
I can see the allure of Local Co-op. It adds an extra feature to put on the box, it isn't as costly to implement as online multiplayer, and probably most importantly it doesn't have an ongoing cost associated with it. With the advent of shareplay on the PS4 I imagine more and more small developers will rely on it as a crutch to turn local co-op into online co-op.

 
yeah iv got the drums, the keyboard and 4 guitars just sitting around, and a box of mics.

also thanks alot for all the co op help this week. Iv been on a 4player co op marathon. pvz gw crazy mode, exo zombies 100%, 4 player airmech arena survival. good stuff.

I have a feeling RB is going to bomb on PS4 but it might do alright on Xbox One, because most people who played the earlier games played them on 360, and there's no transferring songs from 360 to PS4. Nobody wants to invest in PS4 stuff when that means losing all of their DLC.

It's hard to remember to take screenshots, then it's an even bigger pain in the ass when the game doesn't pause during your screenshot where you basically have to die in order to snap one, happened to me last night on Lost Orbit.

Most reviewers (ourselves included) usually use the Press Kit images, which is actually even lazier. I'm trying to get in the habit of using my own screenshots, but like I said actually snapping a good screenshot is not easy. Then you have to upload it (which is kind of a pain since you have to use Twitter or Facebook).

The Destructoid reviewer posted a video of the final boss in Color Guardians (so spoilers, I guess?) to demonstrate its unfairness...but it looks to me that he just sucks at playing the game:

Wouldn't be the first time destructoid rage quit and called it a shitty game.

Looks to me like instead of being patient he would hurl a color as soon as he grabbed it, when it seems like you are supposed to grab the color, dodge the next wave(s) of black until the the lane clear of projectiles lines up with the same color shield as your character to attack it and make an opening in the shield.

I'm confused. Sometimes bosses don't have set patterns, otherwise they would be piss easy. So it's not like bosses having random attacks is new or unusual. It does look like a bit of a pain, I guess I'll find out when I get there. But yeah I think he's being a knob too. Why does he keep throwing the bomb as soon as he picks it up?

Doesn't really solve the no pausing problem, but couldn't you hook up your elgato and take screenshots through there to have them on your pc immediately? Solves the fb/twitter issue at least. Would also be easier to just record the few minutes of gameplay and grab a shot from the video if you wanted. (then you wouldn't have to die/pause)

Alternately, can't you do the same with a recorded video through the ps4 itself? You'd still have to upload to fb/twitter, but it'd be easier to grab an action shot that way.

I always try to use the press kit images. If they don't have any, then I'll take whatever they put up on the Store or the dev/pub website. If it's a Vita game and none of the above give Vita specific ones, I'll try to take the screenshots myself. I obviously can't do that for PS3 games though.

 
It looks as if he immediately launches his next "bomb" when he has the shield down, when every time, the shield's move. After about time #2, you would think he'd just wait a half-beat move over and launch at the newly-formed hole.

I don't know about this. Has he really fought any of the top fighters in the division except dos Anjos? At least Nurm is in the UFC now and we can see if that undefeated record will hold for very long as he fights more top guys.

I will try not get started on how his countryman Fedor was a fraud because he never really fought anyone rant.

I could with the El Gato if I wanted, but I don't have it hooked up to my PS4 since streaming from PS4 is as easy as pushing a button. Also the computer I have it hooked to is just a random laptop that's only used for streaming. I don't write/publish anything from it so I'd still have to upload the image to somewhere else to access it on one of my regular computers.

Pulling screenshots from videos is a good idea though. You still have to hit share to record the video so it doesn't totally fix the issue when games don't pause when you transition to the Share screen. But assuming the saved video isn't downgraded at all, this would be an ideal solution for finding a good screenshot.

But we went like 11-1 and fucked shit up so it was worth it.

I'd LOVE to write about the game for IA but the stupid dev never wrote back to me. I saw one other site write something about it, but since it's a beta I want to get permission before just posting something. Maybe I'll just ask them on Twitter.

Anyone have Far Cry 4? I know I just dropped in, but someday soon, I'd love a quick boost for these co-op trophies (especially the vehicular takedown as Hurk one).

Doesn't PS4 automatically record the last 15 minutes or so of gameplay anyway? You should just have to hit the button after a segment is done and review for a decent shot. Not sure on the exact controls for making that work.

Figured it out, wait until the open spot in the shield is going to start flashing, and then immediately hurl the ball as the boss can't move another shield tile there while it is reforming as that's how he got off his lone attack against it in the video. 

The boss moves the opening in the shield twice and then starts to reform it every time, so you wait until he moves the shield twice and then immediately hurl the color at the hole. It's not rocket science.

I'm kinda glad I traded with Gator for Color Guardians. I can at least report back now whether the boss is actually hard or the reviewer is a bellend.
