Though I enjoyed Far Cry 3 I think I'm just tired of Ubisoft collect-a-thons. Black Flag has been enjoyable thus far but it still has the trademark Assassin's Creed clunkiness, which I feel got worse than before because of the number of environments and mechanics shoved in.

I'm fine with Ubisoft always putting a ton of collectibles in their games, what's annoying and almost makes me wish they would just go ahead and make linear, non open world games is the extreme low quality/repetitiveness of side quests/activities. They think they create rich worlds with tons to do, but the biggest thing that detracted from FC3 to me was the fact that there was really only about 5 or 6 activities on the map (take over forts, climb towers, hunt, etc) and there were a ton of instances in which to do them. Put some effort into your sidequests, make some unique things.

I think PC gaming is going to be the death of me. On consoles, I at least have some restraint in even paying ~$40 a game (thanks to BB GCU). On my iPad and Shield Tablet, I find myself nickel and diming myself on sub-$5 games and wind up with a ton of games that never get played. My PSTV swerved me more into buying cheap PSP and Vita games that will sit in that tiny black box.

And now PC gaming could be the tip that does me in. Finally have a half decent PC that can play games and am grabbing all these $1 games and bundles....most of which I probably will never play.

Someone stop me! I'm falling into the depths of CAG addiction.

Resident Evil 6 is only £4.99 in the UK, quite a bit cheaper than overseas. I might bite on this one - the lack of any decent bundles recently has left me with an itchy wallet finger.
This game had so much QTE that it makes Dragon's Lair and Space Ace seem like a strategy game.

You're at an important crossroad. You need to either go all in or take a step back. No inbetween.

Either you join most of CAG and choose to play PC Pokemon and collect them all or you choose to be real picky with your game buying. If you keep being wishy washy you'll be one of those pitiful people with way too many games, but nowhere near enough to brag about.

So I guess I can't just stick the tip in, it's gotta be the whole thing, huh?

Damnit Humble Bundle, I just bought SanctuaryRPG last week! Anyway, big ups for that game if you're feeling an old-school ASCII vibe with permadeath.

took the top 3.. thanks

I did a trade with a guy on a Surface 3 for a Lenovo Y50 last night so I've got something halfway decent to game with now until I build a desktop later on.

Ready for the Summer Sale!!

The system specs for Witcher 3 are now a joke seeing as how they dumbed it down for consoles (aka the X1).

I wish they would update them....

So can anybody here recommend Flock! from the Capcom Steam sale? Looks to be about 99 cents worth of fun and i've got 16 Gabenbucks to blow but something seems to be holding me back...

My thoughts after one hour of play time back in January:

This title was recently gifted to me and since I would have never played it otherwise so I thought I'd give it a go here. Flock (well, FLOCK! to be accurate) is a casual style game where you herd livestock across a quilted terrain using your UFO. The animals are scared of you, so you move them along over obstacles and through puzzles to the "Motherflocker" ship. Which is exactly the sort of risque humor you can expect from a casual game about herding sheep over quilts. Like most games of its ilk, it starts deceptively easy then starts adding extra puzzle elements such as shrinking sheep or catapults or stampeding bulls.

The game itself is attractive, it played well with a controller and the sound effects were suitable (yet more 1950s UFO noises and music). If you're into casual games there's no reason you wouldn't like this one, I suppose. It really depends on how much time you want to spend herding barnyard fauna through puzzles.
