2 was freaking awesome. i loved how stuff you did in leon 1 would effect claire 2 etc. also 3/nemesis was great because you would be just chilln around the police station and bam the walls come down and you are being chased by a 'starsssss...' monster with tentacle hands. and that's where they really started getting the fun mercenaries mode with carlos etc. I think re3 mercenaries was more fun than raid mode, raid mode takes all the tension out of it. I remember on re3 you couldn't be slow cuz there was always a timer counting down so you had to rush. also tofu and hunk were great. awesome

cod really doesn't have any advantages for higher level people, especially assholes like me that keep prestiging and have to unlock everything again. I can't even perma unlock my noobtoob so i have to reattain that with double multi kills everytime i prestige again. They kinda stopped that stuff awhile back. and really pvz only has 3 upgrades and you get those pretty early. it's not like bf where you have to unlock so much stuff and get crazy upgrades. idk

 
After lunch today I got a Misto shake at Rita's. Georgia Peach ice and vanilla custard. So delicious... and such a terrible idea. I'm not going to tell my wife.

 
Man I wish we had custard places around here.  So much better than ice cream.  Instead we get a bunch of samey froyo and ice cream places.  Which is probably good anyway.  I dont need to get any fatter.  Need to work on my summer bod.  HA, I couldnt say that with a straight face.

Some famous climber/base jumper dude smashed into the rocks in a wing suit in Yosemite, along with his cameraman. People are saying he died doing what he loved. Somehow I doubt that smashing into the rocks was something he loved.

I went to Woodstock 1999 and it got pretty insane. People were bleeding, equipment towers were brought down, everything was on fire, trailers with refrigeration tanks were exploding and then the state troopers rushed in and starting mowing people down. I saw a state trooper in a Jeep Cherokee hit a guy. It was just nuts. I saw some great shows though.

Best festival I've been to was Roskilde 98. Sabbath w/ Ozzy, Iggy Pop, Deftones, Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys, Rammstein, Slayer, Bob Dylan, Buddy Guy, Misfits and more.

I didn't go to a lot of rock concerts. I never liked how loud they were. I did wear earplugs eventually, which certainly helped, though the need to do that is mind bogglingly stupid. Just turn the volume down a bit. Is that crazy? I guess I never got a rush out of ringing ears.

But the best part of going to a concert is laying down to sleep and still hearing the concert in the quietness of your house.

I still have a ticket to Woodstock '94 that I did not use because I had no way to get there and I was still living at home and going to Junior College at the time. My parents would not have been too fond of the idea of me going, but it is one of the biggest regrets of my life that I did not try harder.

If that were a ticket to '99 I would consider it one of the best decisions of my life to have missed it. It is crazy what a shit show that became.

 
I saw Queens of the Stone Age during the Songs for the Deaf tour. Dave Grohl was drumming at the show and it was epic. I guess QOTSA wanted to make everybody deaf because my ears rang for a week after that show.

Wow all the weezer talk....

I used to run a Weezer fan site back in the day that got to be pretty big. It was called weezon.com. I got to meet the band got free tickets for a show up in the front. I have all those rarities the band released back then and even have some soundboards direct from Karl (band's video\audio\fanclub \weezer.com dude).

I got to play Foosball with Rivers. He's pretty introverted. All the other band members were cool. I have pics somewhere...I should probably try to find them.

weezon.com was in Rolling Stone once...I should have the article somewhere.

The weird part is I'm not much of a Weezer fan anymore...they have some moments of still being good but Blue and Pinkerton were where it's at. I like the Green Album for what it is but I never could get over Rivers trying to find some super formula to make the "perfect" album. He's relented and been more relaxed at times but I feel like some of the magic was lost along the way.

I also had (probably still have somewhere) a spreadsheet of Rivers with ever single song released and unreleased he ever wrote. Let's just say it was into the thousands. He's a super smart guy and like most super smart people he probably thinks about stuff way too much for his own good.

Wow, that's an awesome life experience!

That's pretty spot on of how I picture Rivers from everything I've heard or read on him. Pinkerton was basically his life at the time, and its critical failure was what drew him to have to figure out that perfect formula for an album. Though those 1st 2 albums are by far the best, I still like everything through the red album...then 3 awful albums, but their newest one is pretty good.

Yeah I saw Metallica a lot (like 7 times I think) but I was done with them before 1997. While I am sure the stage show was nuts I kind of liked their older music better I didn't need a crazy stage show.

That said I liked the stuff Iron Maiden did with Eddie walking out on stage and the scales of justice crashing down on the And Justice for All tour. I just couldn't deal with the crap they were playing after the black album. Not even sure which tour it was maybe Load was the last I went to. During Seek and Destroy Lars and Hetfield were doing dueling drum solos on moving drum kits. That was pretty much it for me. I was on the fence as it was and that just pushed me over. I have only ever walked out of a show once and that was planned in advance. I wanted to see Faith No More open for Billy Idol. Hung around for maybe 4 songs of Billy idol and went to the bar. This was a close second. Had we not car pooled with another couple of other people we probably would have. I loved the And Justice for all tour. Saw them 5 times on that one.

That reminds me of one of the Metallica And Justice for All tours. We went up state NY a bit to a general admissions show at a dirt track. They had a stage in the infield behind a guardrail. We decided we wanted to be in the second row (leaving a cushion of people in front of us to be squashed against the fence/guard rail. Behind us a bit was a mosh pit and another behind that. My friend got knocked down and couldn't get up. He was like get me up. So I physically lifted him up after shoving some people off him. We decide to go back a bit and watch the pit. Another friend was there moshing and this one dude was fucking him up pretty good. I was tempted to elbow that guy in the head but didn't. Turns out it was his brother who I never met before. lol

 
I just got back from GameStop and the manager got a call saying they could sell The Witcher 3 immediately. No need to wait for midnight. I'm not sure if this is everywhere but if anyone was planning on going to midnight release and doesn't wanna wait then I'd call and see if you can pick it up now.

looks like the Dolphins have decided to go with Tannehill as the qb of the future, they game him a contract extension through 2020.

I'm on board with the deal for sure! One of my friends made an interesting comparison the other day between Tannehill and Drew Brees. Tannehill actually has better overall stats than Brees did in his first four years. Pretty impressive considering that Tannehill has been sacked over 130 times, compared to Brees being sacked around 65 times. 

And if I remember correctly, Brees also had trouble throwing a consistent long ball his first few seasons. I'm not saying Tannehill is going to be as good as Brees, but it certainly gives me hope that he can become an elite qb, if he just keeps working on his mechanics. It certainly helps that he is being mentored by one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.

 
Sometimes I'm glad that the internet is one giant junior detective's guild, but I hope that there's some e3 surprises that don't get outed beforehand this year. I like the big awkward reveals during the conferences and it seems like there will be a few this year.

Yeah almost all of Microsoft's E3 press conference was spoiled last year. Hopefully there will be a few more surprises all around this year.

 
re rev 2 is so much funner local co op with my girl. it totally has gf mode where one person is in charge of shooting and killing things and her job is to point/flash light duty. I'm telling her she has a crowbar too, but she will be damned if she is gonna get close enough to a monster to use it ;)

Mad men is just another one of those art house bullshit things people want to say they like cause they don't want to admit how much more fun something like mad max is. I can't wait to see mad max and then entourage next month.

I think I am going to go see mad max Monday since I am off for memorial day and the kid is going with the wife to the soon to be ex in laws

I thought mad men was ok through the two and a half seasons I watched. But then I realized nothing was ever going to happen so I gave up on it.

There was one theory out there about how don was going to turn into DB Cooper and hijack a plane. While that would have been awesome, it would have required something more than "character development" to happen in an episode.

The entirety of Season 7 was me just watching because I had invested so much time into the show already. I didn't really enjoy any part of it. Season 1 and 2 were slow but as I mentioned the characters/setting/acting kept me intrigued. The show finally ratcheted it up a bit at the end of season 3 and into season 4. 5 started dragging and then I limped through season 6 as well.

Pity that a show with so much potential ended up being so god damned mediocre.

 
And while Mad Men was on the boring side, it's way way better than The Walking Dead. That show goes for 2-3 episodes with nothing happening but then OMG SOMEONE DIED BEST SHOW EVER!!!
 
Perfect example of the production company giving too much leeway to artists, in this case the show runners. How was there not one exec in the room screaming "Can somebody at least throw a pie? C'mon!!!"
