Doesn't the trophy guide estimate it at around 100 hours for the plat? IIRC there's some stuff about how to level quickly in there.

They probably just said 100 because there is a trophy for playing for 100 hours. They probably didn't even finish it

Out of curiosity, what's the oldest piece of electronic equipment you have that still works (not including any video game consoles)?  Mine would be an AIWA NSX-AJ22 3 CD/CD-R, AM/FM, dual cassette player.  I think I got it at some point in college so that would be about 20 years old.  I don't know if the cassette players still work (might need the heads cleaned and demagnetized) but the CD player is still going strong.  It had 2 main speakers and 2 mini ones for surround sound, which I used to use on a stereo VCR, PS One and still do for a Dreamcast.  One of my roommates in college used to use the cassette players to make some awesome mix tapes for parties.

I still have a Philips VCR. I used it back in the late 90's, early 2000's to record WWF/WWE PPV's and other TV shows. I used it so much that my Channel Up button is stuck. Since my TV didn't have A/V outputs, I used them to connect my first DVD player and my PS1 in 2001.

Runner-up would be my Sony Walkman MP3 player from about 10 years ago. 3.5 inches, has a small screen, and has a built in radio. I use it whenever I go for a long bike ride ( complete with the original arm band to store it in).

I also have a Sony Cybershot camera that uses Memory Stick Pro Duo cards.

It's not hooked up anywhere, but I do have a working sony VCR somewhere that's got to be at least 15 yo. I still have a working snes that I got for my 8th bday, so that will be 23 years old on Saturday

Lowest was $50 on amazon 1 day sale for the lego movie bundle, though it didn't come with Sly Cooper 4 like this walmart bundle. If you want the system and need a DS3 then that's still a better deal than the $40 at gamestop (which is currently out of stock) as the bundle includes two games and an 8GB memory card for "free" compared to buying the system (if it ever comes back in stock at gamestop) and a DS3 piecemeal.

I have been a fan since lecavelier started and then really picked it up when they started winning. I am fromflorida after all. It just isnt my favorite sport for obvious reasons so i dont watch every game. Until playoff time. Hockey isn't something we grew up with so it isn't like football where I watch every damn bucs game even when they suck ass.
 
Been playing a lot of puzzles and dragons z. Shame we couldn't get this on vita, without the Mario version of course. It's nice to play the game without all the freemium crap being shoved down your throat. More mobile devs should make ports like this for handhelds.

Good idea, but execution leaves quite a bit to be desired. There is just so much wasted time spent driving that by the end of the game it becomes a bit of a drag. Especially in a section where for the plat you have to retrieve a bottle in a narrow valley guarded by 3 elephants.

You have to drive through 3 areas to get to it and the elephants wander on their own. If they spot you or hear you then it will enter flashing warning mode in which you have about 10 seconds to put enough distance between you and it or it will "kill you" (knock you out) and send you all the way back to your camp.

The bottle is in the middle of the end of the valley under a waterfall, but you can't pick it up while you are in flashing warning mode. So you have to lure 2 of the elephants away from the bottle by constantly whistling from behind a rock until the 3rd elephant finally moves on its own away from the bottle then you can carefully walk in and grab it. Until you figure that out, you'll be getting knocked out over and over, spending 5 minutes driving back to the valley to try again.

There is also apparently a little publicized glitch which affects the complete field guide trophy. As you take pictures of animals and submit their photos they will be added to your field guide. Some little known animals you only need a picture of an adult, but more popular animals like the lion you need a photo of a male, female, adolescent, and baby in order to complete that animal's entry. Once you finish the final mission and enter post-game mode, certain animals start showing up less often or not at all, particularly the "baby" versions of animals. I thought I had completed the field guide but I missed the baby version of the African Buffalo. After 50 minutes of checking the areas where they spawn and jumping to the next day over and over it seems I was bitten by that glitch.

Thankfully I took the advice of the trophy guide to make a back-up of the save in order to play the final mission again whenever I wanted in which you get to ride in a balloon, otherwise I would have been SOL and likely had to start completely over. Once I reverted my save (which is no quick task since the save file is 387 MBs), I found the baby buffalo the very first time I drove into the area where it spawns, and the trophy popped popped once I submitted the photo. So just make sure to 100% the field guide and have the trophy pop before starting the final mission.

It is neat that they partnered with National Geographic so as you add animals to the field guide it unlocks HD pictures, video, and and a few paragraphs of text about it in the library. Though I think there is a bit of a missed opportunity to include as an unlockable one or two of NG's documentaries about Africa that they have produced over the years or even some short clips from their documentaries about a few of the animals.

That's 3 for #MM

i wish i could take a nap. im lucky if i get a good 3 hours sleep a night.

also i don't know how you guys think this sound shapes is an easy plat. this beat mode is hard as hell. im all over the death modes but damn i could only get the first beat level done and it took me like 10 minutes. i tried the 2nd one and i got all but 1 beat and i couldn't find it. argh. ill try to get my kids to do it, im just getting old and could barely hear the high tones.

Sound shapes is super easy. Death mode levels are like 30 seconds max so just keep hitin that replay button. Also the psnp rarity for it is stupid high so youll be fine
 
Jesus christ. What does it take to get fight of the night in EA UFC. Went straight to decision in an all out brawl with roy nelson. I swear we landed like 700 strikes between the two of us in those 3 rounds. The fight that did win it was a fuckin knockout in the first round. Ive done that a buncha of times during career mode and never got it.

i said I have no problems with the death mode levels, i know you just keep replaying them and it is random. It is the beat mode levels where you have to copy the music loops. I had to pump up the volume cuz I could barely hear it and that was just the first one. It took me like 10 mins and i gave up on the 2nd one cuz I couldn't find the last note. you guys all have better ears and sense of beat than i do ;)

 
Anyone else watch Daredevil on Netflix?
so far I like everything except for the cheesy bullshit between the main character and Rosario Dawson. Their dialogue is cringeworthy and is ruining the show for me.

I just end up using the screenshots in trophy guides for beat school like I think most people do. I can figure them out just fine, but I don't enjoy it so meh.

Took too long to finish the first one, so I just cheated on the rest. Its pretty much just trial and error, so I didn't feel bad about it. Saved hours of my life!

kids are done with school. i don't have time to cheat even. ill tell them it's laundry or sound shapes. haha, thanks guys. i forget those trophy guides have the answers for stuff, i usually use them just for roadmaps or if i get stuck. i understand for games like this where it isn't really fun but some of you guys who go through puzzle agent or home and just look up the answers, you so crazy. too each their own. peace and hugz and happy memorial day

the problem is i dont have a laptop or a computer in the same room anymore, and that ps4 browser always resets and takes longer. i got my kid doing it but she is doing it legit and its gonna take her all day. lol. that or dishes!

Yea it works for me. I can sit and play on the Vita for a bit, than step outside for awhile and check out hot drunk chicks on boats
