I got back into Pokemon Rumble World. I'm afraid to look at it and calculate how much I will need to grind or buy to get all balloons. :joystick:

Edit: Only $15.99 for the top tier diamond pack? I would assume you can unlock virtually everything with it. Seems like a pretty good deal for all the playtime.
One way to look at this game is how much would you spend on the full version of this game if they released one? I think $20 is a reasonable amount to spend on the full game (though I've only bought the first two sale priced diamond bundles).

Try being into Pokemon Shuffle. I gotta restrain myself from buying jewels constantly.

i got the 200 diamonds and the 500 diamonds and just missing 2 balloons. put little under 7.50 into the game so that 15.99 should be more then enough. You cant spend more then 30 bucks on the game. 30 bucks gets you 20 free diamonds a day

Other then the graphics I don't believe much was changed with RE:R from the 3DS version. If you don't have a CPP or N3DS you would probably be better off waiting for a console version since it's meant to have the second stick.

Actually, forget that this was and early 3DS release, it is one of the better RE games in a very long time. The 3DS was the lead system for this title, so unless you are someone who doesn't care for gaming on the go and would rather have a console experience, it's probably the best of the bunch.

As for the controls, this is a "true" RE game, and as such, dual analog is not required, and not the true way this game is to be played. Once again, if your not a fan of the original RE control scheme, than dual analog or the CPP is required, but if your a purist, the controls are fine as is and work well. RE:R is one of the 3DS best games, hands down.
Thanks for the opinions. I'm going to try the demo on the 3DS and see if I can handle the controls. I don't think I've played any "shooter" type games on the 3DS yet ( just got it about a month ago ).

I actually forgot this had a demo, but that's a good idea. RE has never been a fast paced 3rd person shooter like Uncharted or Gears. It's very slow paced, and the controls are designed around that. By adding dual analog controls, it's kind of cheating, but it's all about personal preference I suppose.

Yeah, that seems like a good way to put the game into perspective. I was surprised at, really, how little cost it looks like the total experience would be for all of Pokemon Rumble World.

Looks like some new eShop deals went live earlier today.

Code of Princess - $14.99

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan - $14.99

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoners: Soulhackers - $14.99

Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars: $19.99

Harvest Moon: A New Beginning - $19.99

Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns - $9.99

Hometown Story - $9.99

And a few other Natsume titles including most of the Cooking Mama library.

Anyone have any strong feelings on which Harvest Moon game is worth grabbing and whether Hometown Story is any good?  I'll definitely be grabbing EOIV: LotT this week.

Tale of Two Towns had issues on the 3DS (it was ported by a third party). I don't know if they were ever fixed.

A New Beginning is ok, but it's not particularly cheap.

You're better off getting Story of Seasons that just came out recently, which is a true "Harvest Moon" title, but the license changed hands (from Natsume to Xseed).

These cheap 3DS Digital Dowload listings keep popping up on ebay:

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D $26 (4 available): Here

Majora's Mask 3D $26 (5 available): Here Sold Out

There's something fishy about these listings, as it's always a fresh account selling them, but clearly the same person. Buy at your own discretion.

wonder if you would lose the game if the person does a chargeback in 30 to 60 days. Codes might work now but could be revoked

Last month I would say Yumi's Odd Odyssey is an insta-buy at that price if you love rubber band grappling hook physics crap. It's very good at that niche.

But the Vita got a superior version just last week or so.

Remind me, besides PSTV support, what else makes it superior?
It runs better at a constant frame rate, has more levels, has the original game, controls better, looks better and generally is the better experience. I do have both games.

Right now I've been playing Pokemon... just got a Zapados.  I figured I'd kick them $15 bucks and see if I liked it.  I do and I have plenty of gems left over.  Only have 1-2 more balloons to buy and a couple of the trees ... but I've got around 900 gems left or so.

You guys think the fishing game is any good?  The Streetpass one isn't doing it for me.  RNG's aren't my friends.

Reel Fishing Paradise 3D - $9.99 - 50% Off - Ends 5/31

Reel Fishing 3D Paradise Mini - $1.99 - 50% Off - Ends 5/31

Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies has once again not been discounted during a Capcom sale. I really want to play it but I just can't stomach forking over $30 for a digital 3DS game.

Dual Destinies was the first game in the series that I bought, because it was on sale at the time and I intended to buy the trilogy. Heck, I STILL haven't started Dual Destinies.

AA games are pretty good at being compartmentalized and avoiding spoilers. The final battle of the first AA game is pivotal for a few characters and they only mention it in the later games in terms as vague as I am using  when remembering it. So you can certainly do DD before the trilogy. I wouldn't recommend it but there's no reason why you could not.

Any important info from past games is reiterated in story whenever it is brought up, as each game is designed to be the first one a person plays (or the first one in a while).

Seems like its always the same stuff on sale. Gave up and spent the credit I had on Puzzles and Dragons digitally lol

These 3DS deals are just the worst. The only games worth buying have gone on sale countless times and not for a cent less. Pretty sure Atlus should permanently drop the Shin Megami series down to $15 permanently because it's getting pretty ridiculous to categorize these as so-called limited time offers. If anything, it's just annoying to scroll through at this point.

"Oh nice...a NEW sale from Atlus...oh...well god dammit."

Retro City Rampage isn't a good game at all but it's still decent fun and the best sandbox mayhem you are going to get on the system unless you have GTA:CW.

The addition of the jump is what makes RCR's basic shooting/chaos action stand out. Gives a real meaningful dodge component to the whole thing.

i was too thinking of digital but after being matched at amazon for 24 and sitting on a 25 buck amazon gift card i went the amazon route... have to wait around 15 hours more but i think if i can make it 2 weeks i can make it 15 hours :)

I don't begrudge Atlus sales. It took constant yoyo sales to get me into EO4, for which I am thankful. SMT is still too Jap for me but the EO series is a delight.

I agree with this but I didn't want to be the only one crapping on it in the thread.

It's a bit overrated and I think receives a little extra attention due to the rare PS4/Vita physical copies.

I woke early this morning and downloaded Puzzle and Dragon. I just couldn't wait for that one. I heard on another forum people were finishing the main mode at 90 hours. So yeah, I think I can get my money's worth. There is an Idleness Dungeon being given as a free gift, when you connect through the game online. I thought, "Idleness? Probably easy." NO. I got KO'd in one hit. If you download the game digitally, you get another dungeon for free, but it wouldn't surprise me if that code is out there on the internet. I don't think either of those dungeons are easy to tackle, but free stuff is good.

The game seems pretty great. An overworld with characters to interact in, although so far it's limited to a hub city. That may be all there is. Then each new area has lots of dunegons. I'm pretty stoked. Streetpasses let you borrow the leader's of other players to assist your team.

Edit: Unsure how long the game is. I'm nearly done with the first area, I think, but all the dungeons in the first area seem to only have a couple stages or so. I imagine the dungeons get bigger later, I hope.

If it follows the P&D norm, it'll get much harder right around world 3-4. I always get sucked into finding the materials to evolve specific guys... then it becomes a hunt for a couple of days while I develop my team. Then another couple of days of tweaking them. Then I bang through some dungeons and get to the next set of higher dungeons and do it all again.

I like that formula. For me, it works.

UPS better hurry the hell up. I'm off today and would like to play. But I'll keep going on Pokemon in the mean time. 409 Poke's caught so far (types, not total number.. total numbers in the thousands)

I actually NEVER buy digital releases of games that have a physical version. But my Amazon order got delayed because I forgot to remove an expired card from my account, which changed the order arrival to next week. I could have gone out early this morning to Wal-mart to try to get it, but dealing with Wal-mart and their lack of game knowledge was mentally unappealing. And because I wouldn't have time to play the game until tomorrow morning but really, really wanted to play today, well, now I own it digitally and played it a ton earlier.

And I have, seriously, at least 30 3DS games in my living room in my backlog to trade for other things. Which makes this purchase more or less justifiable. :whistle2:

My ability to Homepass hasn't worked in a couple of days.  So my Streetpassing of the new Fishing game is being affected...

P&DZ is my current jam.  Though I'm trying to remember to pop into Pokemon at least once a day for my rare balloon cooldowns.

This week, Target has Eshop cards buy 1, get 1 10% off. Got two $10 cards since I plan to buy Yumi's Odd Odyssey and Cooking Mama 4. It's not much off, but it's something.
