This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

It's cool.  I'mma wait.  According to this the sale on the bundle ends Sat... the sale on LJW ends next week.  So I'll wait to make sure it really launches before I bite.

 
I'm open to spending if there are enough deals, but my #1 want for the sale is Ori & The Blind Forest. I'll prob bite on it at 40% or better. Outside of that I just want to see some new blood. Stop shoving Hitman Absolution and other stuff thats been overpushed in these sales since 2012-13.

I dont have a long must-get list, its more looking for good deals and maybe some surprises this sale. I'm cautiously optimistic for some good shit.

Bundlestars is alright, at least in my limited experience. The above does apply to G2A though (from what I understand, not touching that site with uhhh...a ten foot cursor?

I'm up to 13 rubies myself and want to buy some gilded heros when I get 30.

If Steam isn't listening to me on these threads and expanding the daily deals to accommodate more games I'm going to be disappointed. There is too much on Steam and the number for the previous daily deals wont cut it. 

 
I can't wait to waste my hard earned idled bundle fodder card bux on shit I probably won't even play... only to see most of it bundled a week or two after the sale ends.

Steam sales have been progressively more horrible each time for at least the past 2 years. Who are these console peasants that think this time is going to be the one magical sale to end the drought and despair? I'm officially dubbing them FOCB, Fresh Off the Console Boat.

I dunno... every year we get these Steam Sale virgins and watching the excitement in their eyes when they get 200+ games for under 50 bucks.... it reminds me of the joy I used to have with the Steam sale...

While the sales are getting worse year over year.. you ever think it's old people syndrome for us? You know... "back in our day" etc etc..?

Honestly, even 'back in the day' I think the best deals still weren't on Steam, unless they were glitches. Tony w/ Amazon had some awesome bundles back in the day, Steam had a few publisher packs that were good and occasionally single games that were good.

What Im hoping for is that these franchise deals that I posted a bit ago will eliminate that crap from the daily deal selection. Keep the Hitman's and Ass Creed's and GTA IV's away from the dailies/flashes/comms and just put franchises on at the same price all sale long. The Steam sale really needs new blood.

Well, if you ask me... it seems to me the sales are objectively worse..... there are games that were 50% last year that will still be 50% off this year... and games that were 75% off two years ago that are 66% this year...

Even if you have a thousand games you can still have hundreds more on your wishlist... not all new releases either..... but how many of them will actually go on sale for a reasonable price..?

Also you use ellipsis too much.

I have my fingers crossed for a good Magicka sale.... like 30% off with only the oldest DLC's on sale.  That's the sweet spot there.

I tried that one because it was the only one I knew for sure I didn't own. It was used before I got there though. Then I looked the game up on steam to see what it was, and instantly felt like I had dodged a bullet. Thanks lurkers.
