Got Nier from a local Gamestop. On the drive over there I totally remembered that the birthday coupon still exists. Some cool cags had just posted it in the other thread so it saved me $4. 

 
Yeah posting from phone sucks.

I bitch about having to be at work all day because there's a bunch of assholes here who just stay home and play video games on the clock, but at least I can access CAG on my work computer and am not reduced to having to read the thread via mobile. Things could always be worse.

I'm at 10ppp anyway so when someone borks a page it doesn't bother me because I'm usually on to a new page in a matter of minutes.

Of course I was there fresh out of high school and in college, so probably everyone is horned up.

It gets crazy hot up there ever summer it seems like anymore. Do they build newer houses with some sort of cooling system? It's dumb not to have one, even if its only used sparingly.

 
So I haven't been playing this game long (maybe 12% through thr main storyline), and I already feel like I know who Arkham Knight is. I'm hoping for a twist or an "oh shit" moment.

9-5 is becoming less and less the norm. Blame globalization? And the fact that most jobs are service oriented now?

Also, I am convinced that eventually we will all be in food or health industries. Everything else will be done by robots or offshore except very specialized stuff.

What kind of air conditioners are sold out that aren't window units? I'm not sure where you live, but have you ever looked into one of those mini-split systems; basically a scaled down split A/C unit. With the prices of those dropping, they sell pretty well around here; Columbia, SC. We're going on about a week+ of triple digit highs; our city slogan isn't 'Famously Hot' just for the hell of it. That's why when we replaced our unit 7 years ago we went with a Trane. I'd rather pay a little more for a reliable A/C brand.

Yeah, that was my fault as well. TRU does tend to have some of those Nintendo deals, though. And I think Amiibo, maybe? I don't pay too much attention to that stuff but I kinda recall a few such things mentioned in here.

 
Holy crap Lego Hobbit is slow and boring. I didn't realize they were going to model it so closely off the movies, but they really could have added a ton of combat and such to liven things up.

And that's what I get for going to lunch late.  Somebody DESTROYED the bathroom right next to the break room; complete with sound effects.  In their defense, they probably thought everyone had eating by now.  If they really gave a shit cared, they would go use the bathroom out in the warehouse rather than the one in the office area.

Any of y'all ever read the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett?  I started it not to long ago; pretty good books.  Short and easy reads; perfect for lunch time.

Oh yeah, what time does the store update today?  Not that most of you probably care since you'll be playing AK tonight. -FNG

 
i played discworld forever ago but never read the books. i should check them out. kinda like hitchhikers guide?

By the by, everyone probably already knows, but that castle of illusion game is really good. I don't know what I expected, but it's an impressive platformer.

It wasn't that hot last summer. The last summer with triple digits and heat wave problems was 2009. Maybe 2011 too. It's usually just a few days of heat but it's pretty unbearable (for me). Especially at night when you're trying to sleep.

Everything seems to be sold out. Fans, window A/c units. The little portable a/c units (which is what we were looking for)

Sort of. Fantasy setting vs sci-fi setting. Dry, British humor. Sharp social commentary. The books are all linked but any of them can be read stand alone.
