So back when Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon was on sale on PSN for $5 I remember people saying it was a stripped down version compared to the previous game, EDF: 2017, and to skip it in favor of the more recent EDF: 2025 which has many more features. 2025 is down to $12ish on amazon.

Owl I don't k kw about stripped down and I never played the original edf but insect Armageddon was so boring that I quit it quickly. Now I never played mp so that probably mattrs but meh. Not sure about the recent one though I am sure its more of the same.

iv got it but it is def an mp necessary japanese game. iv never played it but lets compare it to lost planet 2. i played 2025 and my girl and i made it to like the 4th level and then hit a grinding wall. it is pretty awesome so if you end up buying it hit me up and ill play some with ya.

n damn so close to pvz gw plat. just need that 100 kills of each plant. been grinding 40k coins and buying new characters. i know they transfer to the sequel i think they said so just going for those. some pretty awesome variants too. amazed at the weapon/alt characters variety

Yeah EDF 2025 is definitely the best one I've played out of all of them. Haven't touched the new one (or shall I say the new remastered version of a previous entry) that released in Japan yet.

Single player is alright as multiplayer is definitely where it shines. It's definitely one of those games where you play late night with a bunch of friends with some beer.

 
1 minute into deadly premonition and gramps laugh weirds me out. Then the strange Japanese music and the rest of the prologue get creepier. How in the world anyone finished this game is beyond me.

At least the graphics are decent. For a sega CD game.
 
Churned out a bunch of easy Telltale trophies this long weekend. All caught up on Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones. Also got the plat on TWD S1 and all the 400 days DLC trophies. Not sure what to play next.

5 more stars to go in Batman. I actually have a challenge still locked (the one you get by doing 3 throw counters in a freeflow...keep losing it after 2) so it seems pretty doable. Gonna have to go back and shave some seconds off a couple Riddler races, though.

Not being factual isn't what's wrong with your post. You point out the game's creepiness as if it's a surprise when the game is generic survival horror. Aren't survival horror games supposed to be creepy? And saying that you can't see how anyone could finish it... I should slap you for that one.

But I'm honestly not surprised when anyone says they don't get Deadly Premonition so I don't fault you for that. It's definitely rough around the edges in the production department and the shoddy PS3 port doesn't help matters. Still a great game and a fun ride though.

James Deen is awesome. Definitely a fave. I think I only know a couple of male names like his and Mandingo lol.
 
All collectable hard difficulty run and all collectables timed run done (4 minutes to spare). Just need to perfect one level (no alarms and no deaths) for a trophy then finish the bad playthrough and I'll have the Oddworld plat.

I hate traveling even just on a daily basis for work and such. To me it always seems like a waste of time--I want to be there, not spend a half hour or hours or most of a day just getting to some location.

Never been anxious about it, though.

I'm only 1 chapter in but I can honestly say the game is terrible. Creepy is fine but when gramps follows two boys into the woods and slowly turns and giggles with that pedophile grin...I get weirded out.
 
Got an email about a big Amazon sale on 7/15. Prime Day, they're calling it. And they're saying it's bigger than Black Friday. You need to be a Prime member to get in on the deals.

The ~15 hours to and from Rome earlier this year was definitely not the highlight of the trip. I'm not sure when this saying originated, but I can't think of a point in time where traveling was fun for anybody who has an active life. Having no demands on your time, sure, I can see this as being true if you're deliberately taking a leisurely approach to travel, but for anybody else it's about getting there and then getting back before your vacation ends.

I just watched the opening again and I don't see any grin or laugh from gramps at all... just an innocent stroll through the woods with his grandchildren. He kind of turns and looks over his shoulder after he tells them to be careful because it's dangerous... not sure how you're reading anything from that.

So after being unimpressed with Uncharted 2, I decided I was just going to wrap up some of the "get so many kills with X weapon" trophies since I only needed a few more kills for several of them.  Figured I'd just start a new game up on crushing and see where it took me.  The second time around the game started to grow on me. 
The train chapter is still overrated; I thought the chapter where you're getting chased by the tank through the village was a lot cooler and also the chapter after it where you're jumping from vehicle to vehicle in that enemy convoy.  Even the chapter where the chopper is stalking you through the city and shoots down the building you're in... I just don't get the train hype at all.  Still too much damn climbing around throughout the whole game though.
Anyway, next thing I knew crushing was done and misc trophies were finished off for the plat. 

Lesson I learned from this is don't wait that long on a critically acclaimed game that you know you definitely want to play someday... when something special comes along, you find a way to play that shit.
