I was wondering why you were up. Don't you usually wake up in a few hours?

Also I might upgrade to the new vita. I don't care about the oled and a better grip (without having to get an attachment grip, cause they look ugly) sounds good with me. I can't play more than 5-7 missions in GW3 without my hand cramping.

My new job has a maintenance window from midnight to 4a on Thursdays so I end up being awake during that time most weeks now. It is not my favorite thing. Time to sleep!

Have you tried out the new drones and powerup from the new GW3 update? I'm not too keen on them so far and end up going back to attack/collect and turret.

If I could have upgrade to a new slim Vita for less then $50 I probably would have. But Game Stop is giving I think like $50 trade in on the fat Vita. I don't want to deal with selling it on Ebay. At times I play a decent amount at work in the cafeteria and the florescent over head light just washes out the OLED screen. On same games I can barely see anything. Also most people seem to say the slim is more comfortable to hold. Yeah I know get a grip. But then it doesn't fit in the case I have which does in my laptop bag. Also not having that propitiatory charger would be nice. The ONLY USB charger I have found that works with it is my Droid Turbo charger. I have an iPad charger at work and it will not charge the Vita. So if I forget to charger my Vita before leaving for work I am dead in the water.

I go through spurts were I game a lot on my Vita and then I don't. If I used it more regularly I probably would have jumped on the deal yesterday.

Yeah, I can't quit the turret. I think I tried the new stuff once on ps4 and wasn't too impressed but I need to try them again. The second or maybe third boss in ultimate is knocking me around silly and I need an answer.

I cannot confirm that. Don't work with the weekly ad and don't know who does.

However, I may have overheard there is going to be a Cartwheel offer that goes along with that, like 10% off all movies and books and/or video games. Not sure if those are meant for next week or not, but it should be soon if not.
 
Good news: I got the Far Far Away trophy at 3AM this morning while rubber banding overnight. All that's left are the match trophies and collecting all cars which I'm only missing one.

Bad news: my 3 GC orders were finally cancelled at 5:51 AM :(
 
So I decided to take a break from the last boss on gw and try one of the developer score trophies.  I played the gate dash stage for at least two hours; completely in the dark on what the hell I'm supposed to be doing to get a higher score.  I've had damn near perfect runs and will get a shit score, but so-so runs put up numbers right under the dev score. 

Well, I finally beat the score but as I did it PSN kicked me and no trophy popped... I fucking hate you geometry wars.

 
I should know to ask questions more often by now.  I went and beat the first boss in GW3 which was pretty easy and then went back with the attack drone and easily 3 stared the 3rd level.  I wasted about 2 hours of my life replaying that level for no reason.

They really are trolling Zimm hard.  Man that dude cant catch a break.

They did some really great songs in that movie though.  And Tom Cruise for such a weird dude and short shit really has a lot of talent.

trophies have been a bit glitchy and related to being logged in to psn. The last boss one glitched out on me - I suspended and then beat it and I stared at the screen for 10 minutes waiting for it to pop. then I went in to the level start screen again, tried to access the leaderboards and it popped. so maybe just dick around in the gate dash leaderboards for a minute after you're logged back in to psn and see if it comes back.

I got about fifteen minutes in and had to bail even though I really like cheesy musicals. I still listen to the Little Shop of Horrors soundtrack on occasion. So good.

Hands-on with Hellblade. I'm not sure why they do these "hands-on" posts about games but don't include video. Feels pointless.

just seeing that god of war 3 trophy card makes me want to play it again.  

also, why on earth is never alone getting dlc?  it was a completely functional standalone experience even if it wasn't necessarily good.  why can't people just leave things be?

finally, I have zero meetings for the next two days.  I'm not really sure what to do with myself.

 
I have j stars victory, blazblue (having just sold my release copy for $5 more than I paid for it) and godzilla all queued up at the library for me.

Well I have to admit I didnt watch the actual movie. The wife was watching it and I would pop in to listen to the songs I liked. I thought they did pretty good spoofing them. But I am not a big music critic either.

Did you click the link? The DLC is based on a different location and folk tale and gives the characters different abilities based on the story it takes from. The original story was based on Kunuuksaayuka, this one is based on a story called The Two Coastal Brothers. Looks to be its own, seperate story using the Never Alone characters. Seems like a pretty legitimate approach for DLC to take, I think.

I definitely did not click the link, I'm upset that you'd even ask. if it's a totally different story, make it a different game instead of attaching it to the other one that already has a beginning and an end.

 
Got through E6 of S1 in True Detective last night.  Its still boring overall.  Well acted for sure and Mcconaughey is a great actor too but they really didnt need to have him talk for so long at time multple times each episiode.  Its like trying to watch his car commercials back to back. All I want to do is sleep to his sloooow drawl.

After watching that clip I know I don't need to see that movie ever. It's awful. If you want to see a music movie done right watch Across The Universe. You'll watch about 15-20 mintues and you'll start to cringe and then all of a sudden that will pass and you'll go holy shit this is actually really good.
