What did Spieth do? I was hoping to go somewhere at lunch to catch the end. As long as one American is in it I will watch.

 
Forgot that golf was on, thanks for the reminder. I wouldn't mind seeing Sergio win one, he's been around long enough and always folded in the past. 

Leaderboard looks way different than it did at the start of the day. Bunch of guys that were a few shots back are having a hell of a day.

Yeah thats him. After he took the 36 hole lead and everyone was raving about his play I knew he would blow it. He always does. He has been blowing tourneys for years now. He went out and immediately started playing differently and terribly in the 3rd round. There is a reason he got on the coke and left the game for a while. He is a head case.

Spieth is the real deal and much more head strong like Tiger was back in the day. I hope he stays that way.

 
Sergio once again looking like final round Sergio by missing a really short putt putting him 4 behind the leader.

ETA: And was in a bunker on the next hole.

Johnson will do really well if he can par from where he is right now.  Leishman almost extended his lead barely missing a putt.

Sergio has never been a good putter and thats what normally kills him. He is a slight head case due to blowing leads but he isnt a complete loss like DJ.

Looks like Johnson is several holes ahead of the rest of them, might help him with the pressure, since it looks like he'll be setting the score for everyone else to beat rather than having to match or beat someone else's score.

Wrong Johnson. That is Zach that is at the top, not Dustin. He already choked his way out of this thing.

Yeah Zach is a great golfer.  He always plays well he just doesnt win a lot since he isnt a long hitter.  But he is a great ball striker that rarely gets flustered.

You cursed him. He just slipped and ended up hitting a worm burner way short of the green. At least he is still in the fairway, but he is much more likely to give one back here now.

Awesome. I guess 15-17 are the hardest group of holes on the course so he is in the middle of it. Whoever comes out of that group of holes with the most birdies might win it.

Speaking of golf, has anyone played disc golf before? I played for the first time this weekend and was about as terrible as I expected. I should have tried harder at ultimate frisbee in high school. 

Kinda fun way to spend an hour or two tho.

Yeah, it's fun. I've got a set of golf discs but I generally use a normal frisbee instead. Works better for handling practice since I like playing ultimate as well.

When I worked at Dell there was a course 3 minutes away from work, right on the way home. Now that I'm not working there I rarely go due to not having a convenient location, which is a shame.

I have always wanted to play. I just don't know any friends who would be interested so I have never looked into getting a set of discs.

I went with my brother a couple weeks ago. It was OK, the course was way too big for its own good. Turned a 9-hole par 3 golf course into an 18 hole disc golf course. I got pretty bored by like the 12th hole. It definitely can't even compare to real golf. After your first throw or two you basically just pick it up and toss it in and move on, whereas golf there's a whole meta game to chipping and putting. I don't think I'll go again.

 
Yeah I dont see how tossing a frisbie could be anywhere near as fun as smacking the shit out of a little white ball.

I borrowed a friends set to play, but apparently I've got a couple courses within 15-20 min of my place. Couple of which are close to bike trails so I'm thinking about at least getting a regular frisbee and going every now and then. The weighted discs were nice, but I'm terrible anyway so it didn't matter much.

I'm disappointed. You had a three post streak going where you mentioned either 'coke' or 'blow'. What happened? I thought you had a theme going.

Ah okay, I can see how a huge course like that could be boring after a while. The one I went to was fairly short with about half the holes in a wooded section so you'd have a bunch of trees to try and avoid.

Yeah, driving in disc golf does have some complexity to it (I saw a few guys launch the fuck out of their discs with some weird styles) but like I said, the short game is all the same. Whereas in golf, driving for distance doesn't really mean shit if you don't have a passable short game.
