I thought I could let it go but I can't so I have to ask - what's with the alternate money notations? What is sh39m? Where did this come from?
This article screams fake/made-up, from how it's weirdly written to the way to detailed & long police statement.

And if you look at the closing lines of the article above it, you can see our the names of our two heroes listed.

I don't think that's from an above article. It looks like the caption under a photo.

Liked for What's Up because I rocked the shit out of that at karaoke Saturday night.

And that He-Man version is pretty good.

Oh man, I forgot to tell you guys the worst part of the new Mission Impossible - the scene that broke all believability for me.

Sure, I was OK with people surviving 90 mile-per-hour crashes, hanging on to the outside of airplanes and people holding their breath underwater for 4 minutes. But when Simon Pegg was playing Halo 5 on a PC with a DS4, that's where I drew the line!

Seriously, though, why do they always get easy stuff like that wrong?

This is fucking hilarious considering who it's coming from.
Admittedly I delight in picking shit apart or pointing out stupidity, but I think you've fallen for the "Therm hates everything" nonsense some of the people in here like to run with. Being critical doesn't mean being unhappy. I'm actually a pretty happy guy and tend to be silly most of the time.

That's a pretty extreme example, but the regularity of nonsense like this is why I have trouble watching shows like NCIS (aside from the stupidity of a group of people with absolutely static lives for 10+ years because the show runners are too cowardly about ratings to let things change over time.) The gaming thing wasn't plot related, it sounds like, but so many ill-conceived shows like to throw out nonsense like that as key parts of the episode and catching the bad guy and such.

Here's some fun links on that subject:

In TV and movies I always like watching someone play a game while they wildly tap the buttons and move the stick or d pad around like a mad man.

I do remember watching one show at some point where it looked like the actor was actually playing the game because he didnt wildly hit buttons.  I wish I could remember who that was because I remember being impressed.

Don't forget driving in movies/TV shows. "I'm staying in this lane, but I'm going to rotate the steering wheel either way 3 times while doing so."

As much as we bag on the Big Bang Theory in here, they do a good job of actually playing the games they talk about and looking like they know what a video game is and how it works.  I believe Chuck did a pretty decent job with that as well.

Rhythm game fans: have any of you played NeonFM? They need to bring that to consoles. I played it a bunch at ReplayFX (where Pinburgh was) and it's lots of fun (and challenging). I looked to see how much one would cost and it's $6500. Nope. Unless I win the lottery.

That reminds me of right before I moved from Atlanta to Texas, one of the maintenance guys at the apartment complex claimed he had built a PS3/360/Wii hybrid. I went along with it because either you somehow managed to do it or you have some mental issues if you're making shit up like that to try and impress me, cable guy.

Yeah i played it a few times at the arcade. Like you said, it's really fun but really hard.

Man I misread what you posted as I thought they were going to bring it to consoles. I some versions for $5000 but still way to costly.

They are bringing it to mobile, but that's not exactly the same thing to say the least.

What game's sounds from the Atari 2600 were used a bunch in movies and tv shows when people were playing video games?  I want to say it was either Pac-Man or Donkey Kong.  It was always awful that they used those and had a PS2 or Xbox on screen.

I saw some show or movie a while back (I forget what it was) where they were playing a solid state (i.e. digital sounds/scoring) pinball machine, but with the sounds of an electromechanical (EM) pinball machine (bells, gears turning and such). That drove me crazy. Perhaps that's why I can't remember what it was: I wanted to forget!

Speaking of game soundtracks I got a free Zelda one with Skyward Sword in my weekend flipping madness. I don't really listen to game soundtracks though. The Bionic Commando rearmed one was pretty awesome though.  I'm about 50% through my bad playthrough of Infamous SS. I should be done by the end of the year. That Uncharted Collection steelbook looks sweet. I might even cave on buying something physical for that if it comes here.

The hottest BBT girl was that chick that was Sheldon's assistant for a time a couple seasons ago.

Best I could find in a quick secret work search shut up

You either went to the Therm school of image picking or tried to get one specifically from the show. This one is much better.
