I went to the Maplewood store THE NEXT DAY and there were still 10 or so behind the counter. It was amazing. Bought Dragon Ball Xenoverse and GCU membership the same day.

 
Wow, everyone talking about how easy it is to get Dark Pit and I'm struggling.  There is only 1 Best Buy within a 150 mile radius of me so of course they were sold out immediately and then I found out later in the day on Friday that they had been online for a bit but by the time I checked they were sold out too... My area just sucks for getting amiibo.  The only not so common amiibo readily found here is Wario plus Pac-Man and Kirby I guess maybe if consider those uncommon as well.

Who says Falco is No.52?   There are only 51 amiibos including Falco, before we start counting the DLC characters.

Maybe Famicom R.O.B. is No.51?  But he was supposed to be Japan only, so don't know why he'd be numbered on EU boxes.  Maybe that picture of Falco is not a real photo of the box art.  One thing is that NA Falco has already been printed before any of numbers #45-50 for the US market.

It's probably not real box. Most of those box art photos seem to be the mocked up beforehand stuff.

I do not recall where I read this, probably Reddit, but there was speculation that Mew Two would be no 51 and would have a September release date.

 
Finally opened my target.com box;  knew about others saying they bent the cards but wow that's horrible.  Lucky I'm not a MIB collector or anything, but maybe that at least prevents scalpers from ordering?  I dunno, even for a regular toy or gift I'd think that kind of shipping would be unacceptable. 

 
How many people who have ordered Dark Pit on Bestbuy.com have had a shipping notification?
I've only received a single email saying that it's being processed.

Last time they took this long they ended up canceling all of my orders so I have a bad feeling about it

I have received two shipping notifications but I'm elite so I get free faster shipping. I think they just sold a ton of the little buggers. It doesn't seem like bestbuy is running out...

Wow! Hope GameStop has their servers / registers ready this time. Last time they had pre-orders the whole site and system crashed.

At least this time the pre-order will be staggered by time zone.

After east-coasters crash the servers for 2-3 hours starting at 6am PT, it should be back up and running for us west-coasters by 9am PT.

Um, what? Last time it happened with Ness, the system was down and Ness was sold out before West Coast stores opened.

I'm confused...was there a Ness only preorder?

I was referring to the 6-pack preorder, which was at 12pm PT/3pm ET on April 2nd. That was a simultaneous pre-order nationwide.

I would hope the August 8th preorder will have quantities allocated by region/district, and not from the entire countrywide stock.

 
32 (of 3 figures @ $39) per store?  This will be the biggest and most accessible exclusive release yet.  You will be able to walk in an buy these for days at some stores.

Nah. At first it will be hard to find and I dont see this going smoothly at all on saturday.

Im sure a few weeks later will be easier to get once they reprint

 
Whoa crud, thought the "3-pack" were like typical GameStop "bundles", just all individual items but just noticed that the leaked picture is just one giant box???

Agreed. They'll sell out instantly in stores (or quickly rather), but then be made available online release day and then probably individually or in a bundle a couple weeks later. Happened with Ness and some of the other stuff.

 
This really sucks. I work 6-3 so there's no chance I'll be able to pre order in store. Hopefully it goes up online and I can catch it.
 
So far we only know that its in store only? I gotta take a bus to get to the gamestop near me hopefully I can get there in time no getting there early to secure a spot in line. Also do PRO members benefit at all from this? I heard its possible we get to pre order an extra hour early.

32 per store.  There are 1050 Best Buys and 1934 Target stores in the US compared to 4,434 Gamestops.   These packs are (probably) $35-39 rather than $13. 

Sure, maybe some people in densely populated areas that are sparsely covered by GS might be in trouble.  But any of you living in the cities need to slow your roll.  You're not thinking rationally and you're over-hyping it.  This is going to be the largest release we have seen yet exponentially by about 3x.  There's going to be 2.5-3x as many of these as there were Dark Pit at Best Buy, when I drove to two stores at opening and scored no problem.  When they're allocating that many per store, I can guarantee you that they'll show up online and more than once.  I can think of two stores that might take a week to sell 32 bundles. 

Go to your lowest volume store and there shouldn't be any problem.  Stop feeding the hype.

I think I'm just going to order all my amiibos from overseas now. Getting them here isn't worth the hassle anymore. I work saturday morning so the gamestop three-pack is just a distant dream...

Yeah. If they werent limited per store I'd ask if they could swap over the phone from one of my other orders.

Maybe I'll luck out and can order one here in ATL since I have a ton of family here
 
I'll try and get one but I'm at work Saturday so it will be hard to break away though I have one a block from my work
