He probably wasn't hated so much as he either a) cost too much or b) didn't have time in his schedule to do more recordings.

I don't think Nolan North or Troy Baker have ever seen a role they would turn down.

Not that I know of. At least not a modification to an existing game after release. I am sure people have been recast when the studio was smart enough to realize it ahead of time. Few, if any, games have been setup like Destiny where major content changes were made a year after its initial release. So there have likely not been any instances where this was even feasible in the past.

I still need both Raids and Skolas, plus a chest or two, for the emblem. If I get the emblem, OK; if not, oh well.

Speaking of Destiny, last week I thought I might try working through some PS3 games I started and not played for long, so I popped MW3 in. Holy fuck; I don't think I've played any other FPS besides Destiny in the last eight months. I knew there was going to be a visual difference, I just didn't realize it was going to be that big of a difference.

You're being a dummy if you think Dinklage's audio is being replaced because he was hated. If that was the case, they could have just come up with some reason in game why your ghost has a new voice.

This is being done because there's no doubt he's way too expensive and busy at this point to keep recording audio for Destiny. Poor planning on Bungie's part, but oh well. It was probably cheaper to hire Nolan North and have him replace all existing dialogue than it was to get Dinklage to record new audio for the DLC.

Also, it's funny that I just said a couple hours ago that I wasn't bothering until September, because some other changes have come out this morning:

The new cap has finally been revealed: 40

But what’s not all that’s been changed! The way Bungie is approaching leveling up is now tied directly to experience. There is no more Light values on armor, so that “experience now feeds directly into your level progression all the way from 1 to the new level cap of 40.”

This new way of leveling up – and reaching max level – isn’t going to be changed by things that are “outside of your control” and you’re not going to need to worry about armor determining what level you are.

100% on board with this change. I'd much rather grind for XP than have to worry about getting a lucky drop to bring me up to max level.

Destiny’s loot system will now pay closer attention to the loot you have already received when determining an appropriate drop, so that players will more consistently receive armor and weapons that provide meaningful power growth, items that vary their gear slot from one drop to the next, and fewer drops of items that a player has already attained.

As we predicted, “older legendary armor and weapons from across Destiny’s first year are not set to progress in power as Year Two begins.”

So they might not end up being worthless, but they’ll certainly not be as powerful as the new Legendary armor and weapons that are being introduced with The Taken King.

Most interestingly, “the change also resets the gear progression flow through new Taken King-tier white, green, blue, and purple gear, providing meaningful distinctions between new items as you level up through the new content” – meaning that you don’t need a certain set of Legendary armor to reach the maximum level. You can even be level 40 with common armor, though you probably wouldn’t want to.

Changes sound awesome to me. I've been thinking about getting back into it, but if I don't have to worry about light drops for my level, I'm definitely in. I don't mind the grind so much as I did the whole armor tied progression.

"Make every single weapon drop give pulse rifles for the next week. Now if players want their 'meaningful power growth' they'll HAVE to use them! Mwahahaha"

And I can definitely say we've done at least one thing right as parents: our kids insisted on seeing it in original Japanese w/subtitles.

Only the pink one is still available.

I'll probably end up regretting not buying it now while it was easy to get but oh well. Was able to pick up a Zero Suit Samus that I missed out on before. Didn't feel like adding on to the order at the time.

PS: Alternatively, J-Subculture might be cheaper (or at least you'll know the total before receiving the invoice) for the pink Yarn Yoshi at least.

Friend wants Olimar and Duck Hunt still, but I'm at least done looking for now until I break down and grab a Yarn Yoshi or until KK Slider comes out.

The only one I ever saw was Spirited Away but man it did absolutely nothing for me. I couldn't understand why it was so hyped. The art is nice I guess. The story is just weird and dull. But to each their own.

Taco bell god blessing for me today.

Went and ordered 3 hard shell supreme tacos

Received: 2 supreme chalupas, 1 soft shell regular taco, and a beef quesaritto.

Plenty of sauce packets.

Honestly I don't understand how Destiny players put up with the constant changing of the weapons and the character progression system. It seems like with every DLC pack or major patch it radically changes.

Jesus you guys will buy anything.  I decided not to buy Rock Boshers and Flame Over from last week despite the recommended buy price for both from most of you.  Need to save my pennies.
