My oldest closed his laptop with an earbud accidentally on the keyboard and it cracked the screen pretty bad. Sure seems fragile. It's a Dell something or other.

How did I miss that the new Toy Soldiers comes out next week? And it's releasing physically? Also didn't realize that it was $30, but GCU will make that a little easier to go along with.

Bought one since I had some Walmart credit to cover part of it and I never go to Walmart otherwise. Plus I did need some headphones, especially one with a mic for all those times I'm not playing multiplayer games.

Edit (5:45) : Appears to be out of stock again. We'll see if my order goes through but at least there's a chance of it coming back.

Yeah, they get cracked easily. Is it still covered? If not, depending on the model a replacement might not be too expensive. Definitely look on eBay and Amazon, though--if you go through Dell you're looking at $300 minimum. Better to replace the system at that point.

Would that be covered under a warranty? It's accidental damage. Anyway I doubt it's still under warranty. I'm pretty sure it's at least a year old.

There's an accidental damage coverage for Dell systems. It's an add-on to the normal coverage. You probably didn't get it, but you can have up to five years of coverage on a Dell system.

Just go here and enter the system's service tag to see if it's still covered:

It'll tell you the exact start/end dates for any warranty as well as give a description of the coverage types the system has.

 
The first Evil Within DLC is done. I'll probably make some progress in MGS: Peace Walker (I need to finish that and Ground Zeroes before 9/1) before I tackle the next one.

Finally got the Lost Dimension plat. Turns out I didn't have to do an extra playthrough as the game RNGed me in a good way later on.  Excellent game, can't wait for some of you guys to play it.

Did the Vita version have noticeable load times? I read somewhere that "Now Loading" might pop up frequently during battles.

Nothing I noticed. The game ran smoothly on my vita.

The only is that some of the attack animations are a bit longer than I'd like and you can't skip them. Like 8-10 seconds long.

Anyone who platted GW3: Does the Gatherer trophy only take unspent Geoms into account? To be more specific, I have about 60k now but spent maybe another 60k upgrading drones and supers, so is my total Geom count 60k or 120k?

I figure I'm going to pay for the TT pro account sooner or later, but later isn't today and TT has motivated me to finally install an ad blocker... their ads are bringing my browser down to a screeching halt. Which one do you guys use?

I got stuck early on in BioShock. I actually have no idea where I am supposed to go. Just can't seem to figure it out or motivate myself to keep pushing on. I have all 3 games. Played BioShock Infinate to completion and can't recall just been totally lost as to WTF I am supposed to do. That and being totally out matched early on (crappy weapons). I like FPS and shooters in general but can't seem to get into this one. Maybe some day.

 
Enjoyed Rocket League last night, fellas. Freaking munky was lethal from just outside the 'penalty' area, especially in those last couple games.

And, you guys were a good influence for me last night; played MP, and still went to bed before 1a.
 
other random thing: next week bby is doing that madden upgrade deal again where you can trade madden 15 for $30 towards madden 16.  You can pick up used good copies of madden 15 from amazon for ~$13-15.  With gcu and one of those copies of madden 15 you should be able to get a new copy of madden 16 for ~$32+tax which is still worse than a glitch preorder but not bad if you'll be done with it quick.
