The two Project Diva games on PS3 are likely your best bet. The first one (arguably the better entry in terms of the song list) looks to be out-of-print since I can't find an Amazon listing for the English version and Gamestop charges a crazy $44.99 for a used copy, but the second one is more readily available at a lower $25-$30 price.

1st: http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/games/hatsune-miku-project-diva-f/109941

2nd: http://www.amazon.com/Hatsune-Miku-Project-Diva-2nd-PlayStation/dp/B00JSSP35W/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1440170154&sr=1-2&keywords=project+diva+f+ps3
Thanks! Just what I was looking for. If he gets one I'm sure it will be 2nd since it's so much cheaper.

Eh, sure compared to anywhere else in the country but it's died down a lot in recent years. And it was never really a significant aspect of living here anyway. It's not like there are hordes of them wandering the streets Invasion of the Body Snatchers style or anything. I'll gladly suffer a few pretentious dudes in porkpie hats and bad beards to live in a mostly-liberal mid-sized city in close proximity to amazing forests and mountains and with an abundance of craft beer and legal weed.
It also depends what part of the city you're in. Anywhere east of 205 is pretty much a dead zone and just regular suburbia/strip malls.

The main/downtown part totally is. If you're comfortable shopping at a Wal-Mart/Target, forget it. Grocery shopping is mainly a Trader Joe's/Whole Foods/New Seasons affair. Everything is organic.

A $5 grilled cheese sandwich is now a $10 vegan cheese sandwich on local artisnal 20 grain flax seed bread.

(Work in Portland, OR. put me down for living there too)

ok I think I've got the stupid pinball spreadsheet simplified.  I'm not going to bother with tiers and randomizing and other shenanigans because I don't want to.  The only dumb thing I'm doing is the handicap stuff, but I'm adding the two scores together from the week and multiplying it with the handicap (making the higher scoring table way more important, but whatever).

Current standings (name - points):

 1. crunchewy - 10
 2. cireone - 9
 3. zimm - 8
 4. mild - 7
 5. soph - 6
 6. mitch - 5
 7. madchemist - 4
 8. mpaullin - 3
 9. bumslie - 2
 10. elder / munky / pancakes / tyler - 1

Don't forget to get some scores up for champion pub and terminator 2 before Sunday afternoon!

Any requests for next week?  I think I want to do Taxi and something else but I'm not sure what.

I am a bit surprised how many major metro areas aren't represented. Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami, San Francisco, and Detroit to name a few. Even New York City is a bit of a stretch for Jimbo. Nobody from Ohio is pretty shocking as well.
With only 25 people on the map so far we have someone in 19 states if I count right.

So is Kung Fury Street Rage really worth $2 or is Vig over HHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYPPPPPPEEEEEE ing it?
Two buttons, left attack and right attack. The only way to move is via attacking left or right so you have to wait until they are in range to attack or you will whiff your attack which hurts your combo score.

Enemies come from the left and the right and there are a variety of types, some die in one hit, some take 2 hits, some 3, some teleport from one side to the other each time they are hit so you have to alternate attacks, etc. So you have to recognize which enemy it is and then use the correct combination in order to kill it. Since they are constantly streaming in, you also have to prioritize which side is the greatest threat. It looks like something that could be simple fun, or tedious. I would probably have picked it up if it was on something other than just the PS4 to support the devs doing a launch discount.

Suddenly decided I'm not crazy about my exact location being shown on a public map. Paranoid. So I changed my post to say Baltimore, MD. That's close enough.

Using L1 for Left Attack and R1 for Right Attack is really the best way to play the game, though you have many other options (e.g. D-Pad, analog sticks, Box/Pyramid for Left and Cross/Hoop for Right).

There are some boosted TIVs starting today and lasting through Sunday, but they aren't very good compared to last time. You can see the eligible games in a few (unsorted for some dumb reason) images in the OP of the GS TIV thread in the main forum: https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/338499-gamestop-trade-promos-xxvii-values-available-on-the-website-and-on-androidios-app-games-with-guaranteed-4030-and-more/

I know you guys don't like to venture there, but it's Friday and I'm too lazy to post the images here.

I'm always in other threads in the deals forum, mostly lurking as I only post in about 3 with any regularity. I was just being lazy myself, didn't feel like going to the GS thread. Thanks buddy, several games I was looking to dump were on that list and now I'm 3 Xbone games richer.

Starting Toy Soldiers PS4 tonight....should I be expecting a good game?
Its great fun, though I don't like it as much as the first two.

Wonder if this will ever make it to console:

Funhouse may pair with Taxi well. Or the Harley Davidson one since they came in the same table pack.

Also there should be a week with Twilight Zone and Star Trek since those were the first two Kickstarter tables released on their own.

I also vote for Whitewater or Whirlwind.

I'm also putting too much thought into this but pinball rules.

I would vote for Whirlwind since the scoring tier should be similar to Taxi.

Does your address actually say Claymont? Mine falls under Wilmington despite how close to you I am.
Yup. I never bothered to figure out where Claymont ends and Wilmington starts, but I know it is a pretty small town. Guess I'm just a few blocks from the border.

Added a few more that I know. Top posters who I haven't added:

jkam

avengedbacklog

rpg (CA?)

not eric (CA?)

feeding the abscess

Cage017

SJD

bluearcana

You can change mine from just Georgia to Alpharetta, GA if you would like. I guess I will go from looking like I live in Macon to looking like I am in south Tennessee.
Updated the map again. 30 people listed, only 20 states I think.
Mailed it!

Too bad there isn't anyone in Cincinnati. That looks like it would be the ideal spot for PSNOT Fest East.
Because fuck Ohio thats why.
Woops...

Adding scores together is problematic. IMHO you should just keep them separate, but I suppose we've already gone down this path....
it actually doesn't matter at all. I tried it a crapload of different ways and everything pretty much ended up the same so I'm just leaving it because it's not a real pinball league! so nyeah!

So is Crunch and all the other high pinball scorers reading all the table instructions and then mapping out a strategy on how to maximize their points?

I've always just played pinball by slamming on the flippers and watching the ball bounce around randomly. (And I guess my scores reflect that)

I also haven't abandoned hanging out, I've just been busy. I won't be so tied up once the weather gets colder.
Right on. I've been spending my weekends doing house stuff before our new kid gets here, so I get it. I work at home 2 days during the week, so maybe one of those days. My wife keeps telling me not to meet internet strangers. Bitches just don't understand the PSNOT.

Knowing the rules is half the battle. So, yes. But knowing the rules isn't enough. You need to figure out what things are best to go for. Risk/Reward. Also you need to play some games and see how the machine plays. You learn the shots. Etc.

I land somewhere in the middle.  I just slam on the flippers but I also read some of the rules or try to figure out what's necessary to set off some of the functions of the table.  It usually takes me 50 or so games on a table before I even know what I want to try to do.

Reading ALL of the rules before playing is information overload (unless it's an old and simple game). Best to get the key points and then play, then go back later and pick up more details.

Your placement of Nightmare as Washington put him in DC, not the PNW.
That's weird. There are specific different listing for Washington and Washington DC, yet both of them put the marker on DC.

Picked a random city in Washington to actually be able to get the marker up there.
Remind me of something. Does Gamestop sell amazon gift cards? What denominations if so?
$50 and $25

The expectation/assumption of partying with a hot chic does make my social anxiety go away when letting strangers in my front door. I dont really hang out with dudes much so it would be a bit more awkward, lol ;)
