You could also shade all 50 states in tiers of red and blue based on how they voted last presidential election and I'd bet you'd have a really cool and consistent bright red at the top that slowly transforms to a dark blue by the bottom.
Damn, you are right, it is pretty close. Only a few like California well outside the proper spot on that list.

Back to games, I just want to point out how awesome next week is for downloadable games.

VVVVVV is a great platformer that many of us have been waiting for forever.

I Am Bread is a pretty goofy game and not totally my style, but a lot of people like it. It also controls much better than surgeon simulator at least. It's actually possible to beat some of the levels and get through the game.

Capsule Force has a great art style but commits the cardinal sin of being multiplayer focused but no online! It does have some single player stuff.

6 fucking Mega Man games for $15!!!! Even though the trophy lists blows, it'll still be awesome to play these old mega mans and get a few trophies.

Shushimi is seriously Swole, we've talked about this already.

Calvino Noir seems to have an interesting mix of stealth and adventure.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSyLaTZ8-kU

Nova-111 is some really weird/unique looking adventure strategy game

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL4PDO4St8c

And that's just downloadables. Besides that we have the long time coming PS4 exclusive Until Dawn, Dishonored HD, Madden 16, adn Steins Gate which I know there's a certain subgroup that's frothing at the mouth for it.

They're not all going to be winners, but there's some unique and interesting stuff coming out on Tuesday!

Yeah, I'm definitely grabbing a psn card once I trade in this stuff to gamestop. There's a lot of interesting downloadables coming out in the next couple weeks.

I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to get VVVVVV again.  I gave the 3DS version a very glowing review when that was released.  Game is so fun.  If it's the right price I'll bite, though I imagine it'll go on sale/Plus soon.  But still would like to support them.

And of course I'm getting Shutshimi because Choice Provisions (only the pub I know) + Pixel art + metal trailer = instabuy

The flash sale is apparently live, but you have to search for games individually to see the prices.

Confirmed so far:

$6.80 - Rogue Legacy

$7.80 - Murdered: SS

$6.25 - TWD S2 (PS4)

$3.75 - TWD S2 (PS3)

I'll probably get TWD S2 on PS4.
Will pass again on TWD S2 on PS4. Played it on Vita and PS3. No plat no reason for me to play it a 3rd time for $6.25. If it was $3.75 maybe.

This Flash Sale is such garbage. Seems like we're seeing so many of the same games from previous sales at the same prices.

The Vita has FIVE whole games on sale that aren't PSP games....

We knew that already from what I found Tuesday. You should have complained then. :nottalking:

Ha, Wander is already 69% off.

I'm going to pass on TWD S2. I've got enough to play in the coming weeks and it'll probably drop to $5 or less by the end of the year...probably.

Adventures of Pip has (at least) two Simpsons references in it, which is cool. The two guards in the cave were named Lenny and Carl and the trophy for buying something in the item shop is called "Thank you! Come Again!"

I'm not tempted in the slightest by anything in this flash sale. Probably a good thing considering all of the shit coming out on Tuesday:

Already have Dishonored pre ordered, in for Mega Man and I am Bread, definitely considering VVVVVV and the goldfish shooter (Gears remake is also out). I'm a terrible CAG.

Ugh, I just got one of my least favorite work emails: the "Thanks to so-and-so for setting up today's great company event" company-wide email. I'll spend the rest of the afternoon deleting reply-alls.

Outlook? Setup a rule and automatically put them in the trash or junk folder.

In the blog comments for Shutshimi, the devs mentioned the price will be $9.99 (pretty fair in my opinion).

Of course, some shmuck in the comments said that for the same price you can get a bunch of other way older shumps.

The two devs commenting responded thusly:

That’s the plan! And once we’ve gotten rich off of our little scheme, we can retire from the retro-nostalgic market and focus on developing shovelware for the remainder of our days (the retro bubble is about to burst, anyhow)
Seriously though, the decision to make the game as random as possible HAS presented a few obstacles. The less catered and structured the levels are, the harder it becomes to fine-tune the difficulty. We also ran into a few issues with the pseudo-random number generator spitting out the same values over and over, so we had to tweak that formula, as well. The end result is not “truly pseudo-random”, but makes for a better overall experience in my mind. But, on the plus side, it helps keep the game fresh and unpredictable for those of us who have already played it several hundred times, and I think that’s worth something, too!

It’s too bad you feel that way, but I can tell you with no reservations that we’ve put a lot of time, work and energy into making sure Shutshimi is a lot of fun. Occasionally we have people express doubts similar to yours when we’re showing the game off at shows or cons, and they usually walk away with a smile on their face after playing. I don’t know you, so I don’t know if this game is for you or not, but if you ever have the chance I hope you’ll give the game a shot. Looks can be deceiving, and there’s more to this than you might have initially thought.
These guys seem like cool peeps that get it.

I just realized Mad Max is out 9-1 and thats only 10 days away.  Damn that snuck up.  I know you guys have doubts that it will be good but I will bite since it has $10 BB GC for preorder.

Well, they just earned my $10.

I need to try and beat those Old Blood challenges for the plat, finish Jamestown and the DLC and try to get through Binary Domain so we can play co op before 9-1.

And now I want to play as a badass goldfish.  Tembo is looking less badass.

Me and you both, cant lose really, if it does suck should be able to trade back in pretty quick for right at what we paid for it with GCU.

Hopefully its at least decent.
