I have a BB and two GS 15 mins from my house (depending on traffic). If we are visiting my MIL there is another GS 5 mins way from her. And I can walk from my parents house to their local GS. Don't go there to often but on occasion they have a game I am looking for the other 4 don't.

I have a GS and BB 10 mins from my job. Don't do the liquid lunches any more so usually have time to kill. I run errands for the house during lunch time sometimes too. So I can go home and game for an hour before dinner.

Getting to play 2 or 3 (or more) games for $50-$60 makes it worth it to me.

Also TrueTrophies has trophy cards now too. I changed mine to the longer bar type, but it doesn't seem to want to reflect that in here.
 
Couldnt find most of the stuff on that list but still ended up movin about 110 into 130 at best buy. Stuff like adventure time wasnt available preowned, but new copies of it still managed to at least trade evenly. Ended up flipping some back since I still have 90k pur points that I will probably use on coupons or something.

Fatal Frame is a relatively niche series that's never been on Nintendo in the West. This doesn't surprise me at all. It also wouldn't have fit in with all the bright colorful games on the Wii U shelves. Though that point might have been in its favor; a walk-by reaction could be "Wait, what? Is that an adult-oriented game for the Wii U? Gimme!"

I traded in Type-0 and Valkyria Chronicles yesterday. Values had already dropped a dollar each at that point ($14 and $5 instead of $15 and $6 as of Sunday.)

I like the format of that. I don't think I'd want two trophy cards, but I might switch to the TT one. Will definitely take a look at those options later.

IIRC, these were the options:

  1. $25 check
  2. $25 PSN
  3. "$50" worth of old, mostly PS+ games
I'm surprised they didn't try to give some incentive for PSN credit by giving more of that than cash. It'd be interesting to know what the stats were on how many people took each option.

I think you have to request an update to get scanned and your card preferences updated.



Edit: I'll always like the game image background thing from psnp better, but this is nice and clean. good ol truetrophies.

I do not remember a cooler dev ever being in one of our streams than those guys. They really interacted well with the rest of the group talking about a lot of different things. Still surprised that wren didn't find a way to offend them. It certainly was not for lack of trying.

It is ok, it just looks really basic compared to the other options out there. I think I like PSN Trophy Leaders cards slightly better too.

Yeah I tried that too. Maybe it'll take later.

I also prefer the image background of the last thing you played, but I also like having more of my recent games on the longer card. They have some background image options depending on the card style you choose, but mostly just the big franchises.

I made sure they knew I was kidding and they were cooll and realized it was harmless fun. I mean come on, I was setup for one of them!

I came back in after the devs showed up and said wow a dev showed up while I was gone. That Bria guy said there were actually two devs there. Was I not supposed to act surprised that a game like Shitshimi had TWO devs?!?

The dude responded that they actually had THREE devs! Mind blown.

 
And dont tell me you never heard "its not who you know its who you blow"?  That one is classic and you guys were all talking about networking etc.  Perfect.

I haven't heard the greatest things about Tiger Direct rebates. With my luck I'll get dicked out of the rebate and end up spending $26 on a Pacman amiibo. Gonna have to pass.

 
Rebates are awesome for companies to delay the discount.  Even better a lot of people lose shit and never submit the rebate.  FREE PROFIT!

Also, I get a rebate every year for my contacts and it takes them 3 months it seems like to send me the rebate.

Yakuza 4 was $40. I'm hoping for the same from 5 since it also is sub-only and doesn't have the physical distribution overhead. If so I'll buy it right off at full price. I'd really like to see them bring more games over, especially getting into the PS4 stuff.
