I didn't realize Tearaway Unfolded reviews started coming out yesterday. I'll definitely replay through the game on PS4 for $10 or so, it was a pretty damn enjoyable experience.

The rear touch was a PITA. Since that cant be there in this one, I am looking forward to going through it again. It is at the top of my Gamefly Q along with Until Dawn.

I don't know what gutrash is? But I got wire, I got the car body, the bars are the only thing that I still need for the Jack and when I try to install them, it says I need to do a mission first, but I couldn't figure out what to do next in the mission. So I've just been doing side stuff. Maybe I'm not actually at the glitch yet?
You are, that guy is the second hideout thing you go to, has the beard, its also where the wire is. Installing the bars is literally what you do next in that mission, it just wont let you do it.

You're glitched like me homey!

Yea unlike gator I liked all the touch use, thought it was pretty cool how they used a lot of the vita to its potential.

Was a fun and different game.

But like Gator, I think there were some problems with them, because the rear touch pad sucks on the Vita. Everything else was good and I loved how they used the camera as well to put you into the game. Was very innovative overall.

This review is awful to me.

http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/toy-soldiers-war-chest-review/1900-6416235/

I haven't played the game so can't comment on any of the gameplay stuff.

But two of his biggest drawbacks are the DLC prices and having to use Uplay.

He says the DLC is priced unfairly, but says the core game is actually quite robust and a good size. To me that is reviewing optional DLC, critiquing the way a game is being presented and sold rather than critiquing the actual game. Then he goes on to say how underpowered the DLC characters are anyway, making them sound rather unnecessary.

Then he says you have to connect to UPlay go get extra items and play online. I've never understood why everyone online hates those systems like Uplay, EA whatever, WB whatever, etc. I mean, they can be a bit intrusive, but they've never ruined a game for me in any way. And usually you only have to sign in once per game. In fact, I like Uplay, it usually gives me free themes and items in the assassins creed and other Ubi games I play.

Touchscreen, no problem. Any developer using rear touch for a game on the Vita at this point needs a kick in the nether regions. It is a complete gimmick and does not work worth a shit as a gameplay mechanic.

There's apparently some actual new content in the PS4 version, though IGN's review said the added sections (mostly combat-heavy) messed up the pacing somewhat.

I actually really like UPlay because it tracks your shit across systems. I was able to get a bunch of extras in Black Flag, Unity, and Toy Soldiers WC because it remembered my credits earned from when I played the AC games on 360.

Yeah I'm actually super thankful that RE: Revelations 2 uses corners of the front touch screen for extra actions....works a hell of a lot better.

Read my other post and let me know if you can get past the part, because I was able to finish the mission and progress. I don't know if you left your ps4 on or are actually playing, but psn thinks you're playing now.

The boss fights are tougher to keep things going, they all seem to have unparryable attacks and lag between when you finish their last minion and when they call new ones in. So you're bound to drop it. You can always change your charms around to avoid the meter drainage when you get hit - a couple of the early ones help with that.

Once you have the flurry you'll have the parry+flurry on repeat and those 100x combos will come up all the time. 200x is a little trickier but there's much better places to do it in the 3rd and 4th play. That's also the case with all of the 'Do X thing Y times' trophies - I put more effort than I should've in to them early on when there's more tailor made levels later. Except for the Heads Up one, you have to just make your own setups for that (about 10 feet from the edge of the screen facing it parry+flurry - after the last hit it'll do a wall bounce. parry in mid air for the Heads Up bonus and do it again if you can).

there's a guy that's outrunning me on psnp for the plat so I started catching up on the challenges and stars this morning. It'd be fun to at least be first on tt which is basically the same as being first in the psnot thread right now. I like this game! I was glad to see that I'm at least a week away from getting mad max or mgs5 from the library since foul play is now officially consuming my life.
I unlocked flurry about midway through Act 2, so I have been putting it to good use since then; I'm sure it won't be long before I pop the 100x combo trophy.

I need to be concentrating more on the challenges, since that's how you unlock the charms. I only have one unlocked so far. I also haven't been paying to much attention to the 'Do X thing Y times' trophies. I figure if I don't get them while completing the story, I'll knock them out while going back to 5-star each scene and complete all the challenges. Looks like Foul Play could be my next plat. Thanks for the recommendation fellas!

We might have already known about it, but it's kind of strange that a physical version of Teslagrad is releasing the same month that it's free through Plus: http://www.amazon.com/Teslagrad-PlayStation-4/dp/B013LIFQQA/

Gaming Updates.

Should finish off Hyperdimens]ion Neptune this weekend. Might start  Monster Monopiece or one of those Atelier games next.

Kung Fu  Rabbit from the last  flash sale wasn't too bad.

Think I'll give up on Munch's Odyssey.

Should finish off Sly: Thieves in Time as well. Can't believe I haven't collected a full set of clue bottles yet.

And of course, making sure I hold down the bottom spot in the pinball tournament.

Well this is already starting out as a weird day. A friend got an appointment with a doctor yesterday and by 5pm was in the OR to get one of his boys removed because of a growth it had on it. He seems to be in good spirits, but that had to have been one crazy day and I am sure he is worried about upcoming test results.

Bad shit always seems to happen to good people.
100% agree on bad shit happening to good people.

One of my college roommates was having bad headaches a lot at the beginning of the year. After a bunch of tests, it was determined he had a mass on his brain that had to be removed; that was in March I think. He's been in physical, speech, etc. therapy since, and he's undergoing chemo and radiation therapy, too.

Such a shitty thing to happen to a great guy.

IDK, I didn't mind the use of it in this game. I don't remember for sure but didn't seem like it was used too much. But it almost did seem like a tech demo using all the modes of input. I would replay this on PS4 for $10 or so though. I thought it was a pretty innovative game.

I knew about that one but forgot, just ordered it. Unfortunately its not on BBY site.

What other weird physical releases are coming out? Want to make sure I haven't missed any. I know Brothers, Shovel Knight, and Talos Principle.

Wish I didn't have this LEGO Chima in my backlog. It still feels more fun than LEGO Batman 3, though.
You're seriously playing lego chima after spending all morning flip flopping on mad max because of what other people are saying? You already have the game. You can just play it and form your own opinion.

I was just at the credit union and one guy ahead of me specifically requested $20 in $2 bills. I guess he gets off on people not believing his money is real?

Somebody was already talking about that a week or so ago. Don't recall who. Stotch, maybe.

DoubleFine is in the HumbleBundle build your own sale:

https://www.humblebundle.com/store/bundle/doublefineproductions/

$11.99 for Steam versions of these:

  • Broken Age
  • Grim Fandango Remastered
  • Massive Chalice
  • Psychonauts
  • Spacebase DF-9
There's some others you could swap around. Broken Age, GF, and MC are the more expensive ones, so I'd just grab those if you're interested and then throw cheap crap in the last two slots to help bring the price down as I did.

The more important question is how did he know they would even have $2 bills? They dont make any more or have them in general circulation I didnt think...

There use to be a little store here at work for employees (now fancier and no longer a cool little junk shop) that would try to give me $2 bills as change. I always refused them. Who wants that shit?

Right, that's the plan. I'll try to start it tonight.

Some spicy Asian/Mexican dish.
All that talk earlier about passed/past is messing with me. I typed spicy but it looked odd to me so I typed spicey but that looked odd too. Does this disqualify me from writing for IA or qualify me? I also heard Teddy Bruschi use the word "drug" instead of dragged, sounded very strange to hear that these days.

Damn that really sucks MadChemist. I hope he gets over these hurdles as he's been through a lot medically.

Bad things always happen to good people. PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) really helps a lot when dealing with medical issues.
