So I'm having a pre-show drink at the basement side bar of the club the show is at. It's called the Clown Lounge and it has this awesome painting.

...which rumors that Nintendo is done releasing snes and gb games for their virtual console. It occurred to me that they're the ones that should have a psnow type service. A reasonable sub fee and the ability to play as an app on mobile/smart tvs/whatever would be a much better fit for them given the age and difficulty to reacquire their back catalog.

Nintendo can't even manage accounts correctly. Expecting them to handle a subscription service is asking for trouble; as soon as your 3DS breaks they'll tell you you can't cancel the service without doing it from the 3DS and you'll be stuck paying $24.99/mo for the rest of your life.

 
Salt World (Light) without dying is done. I'm not sure why I try to do these now when it's probably best to wait to get The Kid with his double-jumping goodness.

I think we already established that you can play the stages out of order, but to add another confirmation, I played levels 10-20 then 1-9 and earned the trophy after finishing the ninth level.

Finally got Rock Band 4 opened up and loaded[after an immediate update which took an hour to download]:

The good: My Guitar Hero controller still works. Graphics look good.

The bad: "Star Power" doesn't work when tilting the guitar so I have to push a button to activate it. The music doesn't sound as loud as I want it to be.  Plus I'm having difficulty getting pre-owned songs to download. I see a quick "loading icon" then nothing happens.  

Haven't had the chance to try out Star Wars as I have another 5 hours of downloading to go.

 
So I bought Bloodborne and God of War 3: Remastered at Best Buy and when I picked them up, an employee gave me shit for not buying Uncharted: NDC...

If she were hotter, I might have bought it.

 
Anyone here have any tattoos? I'm working on a design for a sleeve I wanna do but I want to get an opinion of a fellow gamer and someone that has tattoos

As a Mets fan, I can tell you I was shocked he was still in baseball after they released him. Figures he would do well in small market places with no expectations but put him in a big situation and he sucks again.

i don't know if you guys care or if you are done with it, but seems for the moment the frozen patch has given unlimited lives. I don't know if it is intentional or not, but it is frozen at 5 lives. I just kept playing til I beat level 100. im done with that.

Here's an unsolicited opinion: most tattoo ideas are awful. Figure out what you want and then wait 6-8 months and if you still like it get it. Don't worry about getting anyone else's opinions because it's for you despite how visible it is to everyone else.

The only reason I was asking is I was trying to narrow down some characters I want on my sleeve. I've been wanting 3 tattoos for the past year now. I want my maneki neko on my other side of my waist (the other side currently has a dragon running up it), my wings, and the last one is a sleeve for my love of gaming. I've seen some examples of some ones I like but I'm trying to narrow down who should be in it. I know for sure the 3 I want but I want to try and round it off and wasn't too sure of how to incorporate it together as far as background wise. My husband is sort of no help in this since he doesn't really have an interest in gaming other than "that looks cool" or "I played that once when it came out in the 80s".


I'm not one to take inking myself lightly so no worries, I know it's permanent etc. As far as pain my last one didn't bother me at all except in one tiny area.

I figure I only live once, I'm not getting anything vulgar, and I used to not want a sleeve because I was worried of what others would think, but I've learned and have started to live by "fuck what others think", as long as my little family is good than I'm good :D

(I hope this doesn't sound as a rant, if it does I didn't mean it that way)

I would just make sure you are doing it for a good reason. I was in a metal band and everyone had tats but I just felt like it was such a cliché. Now getting a sleeve is a hipster thing and while it's not shocking to see anymore and accepted, it gets the same label as the old tribal tattoo did.

If you are getting it for attention people will sniff that shit out, Unless you are a pornstar and naked half the time, then you are a fucking piece of art.

I'm faaaasr from a hipster.

I like to draw, I like art. I like expressing that on the body. I only have one tattoo, the most I would get is 3. The sleeve is only something I started considering as I didn't think it would look good anywhere else. I don't want it on my back, I can't do it on my sides as I already have something on one side, and the other side I want something that corresponds with what I have on the other in terms of art style. The tattoos I would get have some significance to me.

I was going to respond with "that's what I have my husband for" but then wasn't too sure how that would go over. Glad to see someone else thought like me . I think like a guy. I'm not sure if that's good, oh well xP
 
I had never played Super Meat Boy until it went free this week. Surprised how similar it is to Kung Fu Rabbit. (unlimited lives, move through the traps/instant death in the level to reach the goal at the end.)

I actually -liked- KFR, though. SMB is just needlessly hard and frustrating. Why is the little guy so small?

 
Being sick in bed for 2 days sucks, I'm already tired of baseball. Why couldn't I get sick on the weekend instead so I could watch football all day?

The wife has about 2/3 of her back covered in tattoos. Various mythological stuff. Greek stuff. She's pretty into that kind of thing.

Also, we just watched the first 2 eps of s2 of Last Man on Earth. Started out really well, hopefully s2 has a higher consistent quality than s1. So far Phil is much more likable than he was in s1, which is good.

 
Starting at level 12 instead of 1 made the Squirrel Boy trophy soooooo much easier. I think ill just beat the game and unlock more characters before I move on with beating the levels without dying. (Actually started at 19 on that run because I was too lazy to walk back.)

Sorry, just remembered about this query. At least on PS3, it's theme settings, then select background, then the bottom of the setting is where you select your background, but at the top of the page is the option to change the brightness from about 8 presets.

 
yeah i zoned out and spent the last 5 hours playing super meat boy. Made it to the end 6-4 omega and i just can't advance. it was fun tho.

i was supposed to be having a crazy party and i spent the whole night playing games with my son, lol. good stuff

 im surprised he kept watching and trying the levels along with me ;) Even my lil girl was loving it, especially all the boss cutscenes ;) too cute! (and sad when he kicked that adorable baby!)

So I am trying to go back and read this Jack glitch stuff and it still doesn't make any sense.  Do I need 600 scrap before starting to build the Jack or do I need 600 after I have done the initial mods when it gives me some other mission to do once I am done?  If the latter, then I guess I need 1200 scrap before even starting the upgrade process?
