PS2 slim - All cables and clean
Two DualShock 2's
One DualShock 3 (in the box by mistake? They had no other PS3 stuff)
360 Wireless Adapter
Four games (all clean/complete)

Paid $40 for the lot. They originally wanted $50 for just the PS2, so I thought I did decent talking them down. Been wanting a slim for a while now!

A SSBM can still be sold for $20-$25 on ebay if it's badly scratched(as long as it's not cracked through the data ring). You'd just have to sell it as-is defective/broken.

Haven't really found much of note lately.  Today I probably had my best finds in awhile.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (GBA) - $3

Gears of War (PC) - $3

007 Legends (PS3) Sealed - $5

Army Men Sarge's Heroes (PS1) - $1

Star Wars Rebel Assault 2 (PS1) - $1

Damn wished I knew. I like my games in complete condition and the disc must be in very good shape. I don't like paying for awful condition/scratched games because I am use to getting them for free at my GS.

No games this time, grabbed a couple of movies. Picked up National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty on DVD. Single DVDs are normally 2 for $5, media was half today so it was 2 for $2.50.

Found a Sealed Get Smart DVD set for $2.99 best find in a while. Gona put it for sale later as i have no intrest in it lol. Only snagged because of what it was.

No interest?!?! Steve Carell does the best imitation of Don Adams' Maxwell Smart I've ever seen, and that is high praise because damn was he hilarious!

Taitsu-Kun: Joushi ga Okori-nikui Sawayaka Manners, according to Google. But I would have called it SALARYMAN! The Adventures of a Guy Who Dresses Like Tingle On His Days Off.

I'm guessing by the title and some of the screenshots I've found by googling that it's for teaching proper workplace manners.  fuck ing Japanese have it all...  I'm jealous.  Instead, we get M&M and Sillyband shovelware for the DS.

I'm quite curious as to what's involved in that DS game.

Here's what I got today:

[attachment=17435:IMG_4919.JPG]

Each game was $4.99, all four are sealed. (There were some similarly-priced titles that I passed on, too.) The controller was $.99 - while I don't usually pick up third-party controllers, this one actually feels really good in my hands.

Damn I saw a copy of Xbox One MGS V Phantom Pain today for $3 but it was missing the game disc.

For $3, I'd probably buy that box art, I'm guessing with manual, being a Metal Gear Solid fan.  Despite the fact, I don't even have an Xbox One.

Seems like anymore anytime I find something good disc based thrifting 1/3 the time the disc is missing, 1/3 it's completely trashed, 1/3 there's a playable disc present but 1/2 of those times it's the wrong disc.

Ditto! A few days ago I found Half Life on PC; however, the box only had 3 out of 4 discs. Luckily, I found Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic complete and in great shape for 3 bucks. I also found Caesar IV for 2 dollars complete, this was the last game missing in my collection. More often than not, I find games incomplete, beat to hell, or with ripped cover art.

Found Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance for PS2 complete and in good shape at my favorite local thrift for a buck. Picked up a book and some shirts too. Video game finds have been few and far between lately as I run into same problems as others.

This right here, the store I was at today has copy of Medal of Honor: Frontline (PS2). I looked at the disc and it looked like it had been run through a crosscut paper shredder a few hundred times. And other times the games are severely overpriced.

This thread just keeps falling further down the list I see. Glad to see im not the only person with slow thrift finds.

$6 apiece, work great after cleaning up the corroded batteries.

I don't understand, why not just grab the games and buy replacement manuals elsewhere? Unless it's a super super rare game, you can find replacement game manuals on eBay for like $5 or less...

You should go back and see if you can get it for a few bucks due to the condition of the game.

The GameCube is surprisingly good at reading scratched games, man. I just found that out last night. I had a heavily scratched up copy of Smash Bros that worked perfectly. In fact, I just sold it to a dude on NintendoAge a couple hours ago.

I mean, even if it doesn't work, you can always try resurfacing the thing. It's worth a shot if you can get it for a few bucks, especially if the case comes with a manual and is in good condition.

Can you grab than CPU and I'll pay you for shipping?
You know what I did not check if it was the right CPU for the box and plus I have a bad history of buying CPUs from thrift stores. About a month ago or so I found a $40 i5 4390k. I tested it and it did not work at all. I had to settle for a $40 store credit that went to clothes that I do not need. Another case, I found a AMD FX 6300 CPU for $25. I ended up trading that to someone on Anandtech for a 1TB external HDD. A week later, got a message saying it didn't work. I ended just paying the guy the costs for his HDD and told him to keep the CPU.

I have a disc only copy of Zelda Twilight Princess (I think it might be windwaker) that is badly beat up and it does not read at all. I bought it for $4 last year, tested it on my GC and Wii and it still does not read at all. It's yours if you want it. Just pay shipping costs like $2. I just need to find where I placed the disc at.

If he doesn't want that I'd be all over it. I have a case and manual for Twilight Princess that I got at Hollywood Video years ago and I've been waiting to find a disc for it.

I finally found a mint copy of Conker Live and Reloaded (Xbox) for $3!...and its a PAL copy.  At this point I think I'm just going to softmod one of my Xbox's I have lying around so I can finally play it.

I found a xbox 360 120 gb black. It came with a wired control.and a kinect. It was only 60 at savers. I got it has a dvd player. I wanted the control for my xbox 360. Other then that it's been dry.

Very little gaming wise, but even other electronics I've been finding have been junk.  Seriously, I've returned probably 5 or 6 things in the past week that didn't work.  I'm just glad that my GW does cash refunds for non-working wares.

I've bought 3 or 4 broken things this year I was able to return to savers. I'm extremely careful of what I buy from our church run lds store no exchange or refunds. I bought a broken xbox 360. I was able to use some of the parts on my new xboxes so not a total lost. If you can test it is a good idea.

Lucky. My GW doesn't do cash refunds on everything and some don't let customers test electronics items using their AC outlet. Just store credit and you have too use it within 7 days. It really sucks when you can't find stuffs you want at the spot with the credit you have. My store credit I got from the i5 was 13 shirts and shampoo/body wash/deodorant package from target.

If it doesn't respond, I will let you know. I will need to look for the disc because I just recently move to a new place and I don't know where I placed it at. I also have a gamecube controller (wavebird) with no battery cover and sensor somewhere in the house. Not sure if it works. I got it for free from Gamestop a year ago too. Just have to pay shipping on that too.

Paid $2.92 for this, it's missing the game but 8 GameStops within 50 miles have it so I should be able to complete it easy

I didn't thrift the game but I finally got the game to complete this.. Surprisingly GameStop had a mint disc with complete mint box.. 63 cents after what was left on an old gift card so I got the complete set for under $4 total

Picked up 3 Deluxe Jungle Fury Megazords for $5. People were ransacking the toy area but im glad i stuck around to rebuild them. Pretty much complete sans 2 auxillary zords. Really like them, glad I went out thrifting yesterday

$3 apiece, complete. I was surprised to see the actual fatty PS2 system on the shelf............then I noticed it was system only and $20! Just when I thought maybe they changed their minds about putting systems back out for cheap...

A second Goodwill opened up near me last week, just got around to dropping in today. I have to say they had pretty good selection as far as games go, hopefully that continues. Here's what I picked up:

[attachment=17750:IMG_5042.JPG]

Elder Scrolls Online was $19.99, bit pricey for a thrift but still a pretty good deal. I suspect the DLC code has been used, but the disc is near mint.

The gift box was $0.79, everything else was $2.99 apiece. All complete. Didn't realize until I got home that the Sims 3 game actually has Sims 3: Hidden Springs in it, but considering I didn't have that one either I'm not upset.

Did pretty well at Savers this morning. found a copy of Barbie Horse Adventures Wild Horse Rescue for 1.99 as a nice flip as well as the official Logitech Speed Force Force Feedback Wheel for GC with the power cable still sealed so I'm guessing unused. That was $5.99
