can't justify 40 for mega yarn yoshi and others probably feel the same way so I imagine people that want it should be able to get it if they go release day

Same. He's cute and all, but with the other three he just isn't worth that to me. My youngest son has a ton of other stuffed Yoshis and Mario figures, and will have the little Amiibos for Christmas to serve that purpose. Does he really do anything different?

 
I'm not interested in the Animal Crossing Amiibo, but the only one I am in that series is KK Slider. Too bad I'm won't be getting him since I don't want to waste more money on the other amiibo that I'm not interest in it.

You could import the single KK Slider from the UK or something.

 
I have all of the amiibo. I bought the Mii fighters from Amazon de and will not buy the TRU exclusive. I plan on buying Mega Yarn Yoshi. I am not buying the Wii U AC game so do not need the amiibo. I did buy the AC 3ds and if the figures work with that game I will get the 3 pack and KK Slider.
 
Absolutely tired of this thread constantly being a source of reported posts. Someone make a new amiibo thread tomorrow as this one is getting locked and we are starting fresh. You all need to stay on topic and stop with all the insults and political bullshit. Talk about toys and leave all the other stuff for other forums.

Yup since Ubisoft deemed the wii u to weak to carry their games.... We will see with the NX

True, I really want it, but $40 does have me torn. Given how much bigger it is than the regular ones (has there been a real-world comparison?), $40 seems fair, it's just tough to commit to an amiibo. It MIGHT be my sister's Christmas present, though.

I still don't get the disappointment. They're a bit bigger than standard amiibo, and they're made of yarn, not a cheap plastic mold. As I said before, these are basically what I expected, was surprised how big they were after seeing complaints that they were too small.

I didn't get that game either, and I skipped the pink because I didn't care about it. I have the blue, gave my sister the green from my bundle, and then I have a Classic 8-bit in a Target bag. It's probably headed back to the store.

It's not weak Perse , it's not worth money and time for them to port over games if no ones buying them on that console. Sure some people might but obviously it's not enough for developers to deem it worthy.

The size comparison to the otger yarn yoshi is really what is not making me want the mega one. Also its not that "mega" compared to the other yarn yoshi

That giant Yoshi is 3x the size of the smaller ones, so price doesn't seem out of line (although I have no interest in buying one). My only question is how differently it reacts in Whooly World, and more importantly does it do different things in other games (like maybe a giant Yoshi in Mario Kart)?

Not a chance. There are too many hoarders in society. Maybe there will be some sparse ones in the wild, but I'd imagine they mostly get snatched up right away regardless.

 
Everybody saying Mega Yarn Yoshi isn't worth $40 needs to remember you are paying the Nintendo tax here. Sure, stuffed animals this size usually don't go much past the $20 mark, but overpriced merch isn't anything new for Nintendo, and that's doubly true when you look at their licensed stuff.

Normally I wouldn't be interested in this thing for $40, but it's a great design (aside from the saddle which looks like a giant tumor growing out each one's back). I am not gonna go out of my way to get this, but if I see it it will be a cool little collectable.

It doesn't react differently at all. It's the same as the regular green yarn yoshi.
