They don't like it enough other than minecraft, and a few other select games. They definitely want some mario/pokemon/zelda action.
I get it. I got my son a Vita since I got a like new OLED from Amazon Warehouse Deals for around $95. I got a 16GB memory card on clearance for $20. At first I thought I made a mistake but he loves it. He played Welcome Park, I got him some Lego games, Minecraft etc. With the weekly sales I've gotten him a lot of games on the cheap as well. Just working out better than I thought it would.

I don't have GCU

Got tickets for a 10:30 showing of Star Wars on opening night because hype.  Saw episode 3 opening night and it wasn't bad, except for being stuck in the second row.  But now with the assigned seating I don't have to worry about showing up super early for a good seat.

Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if all but one or two screens in the theaters will be showing Star Wars, making it way easier to get a ticket for a Saturday or Sunday showing.

In the dell bf ad they have an x1 gow bundle + fallout 4 + controller for $300. If you're on the dell gc train that might be a good way to convert those expiring gcs to something else.

edit - also, they have the vizio 60" m60-c3 240hz 4k hdtv for $800.  crazy. (http://www.vizio.com/m60c3.html)

What's the point of having different workers compensation codes and keeping careful records of which type of carpentry work workers did if they are just going to shovel all of it into the highest rate carpentry WC code at audit time anyway? New rules say, for instance, if you just hang drywall it can go under the drywall code, but if you tear down the framing first, rebuild it, THEN hang drywall, it magically all becomes framing work (which is a higher rate).

Couple of you got star wars infinity right? Amazon has a bunch of the figures on sale. Dunno if it beats GCU pricing, but they're like $10.

The original is constantly $5 on Steam and does have achievements there. It's done very well in sales, too--I wouldn't be at all surprised if they put out a PS4 port of the first game. Type-0 shows that PSP to current-gen can sell well (even if the game was garbage,) so combined release of the first three games on PS4 would be great and would probably do quite well. I'm not holding my breath, though.

started transformers this morning. for some bizarre reason I decided to start on commander difficulty and I am getting completely wrecked. I think I'm at the end of chapter one and I can't manage to get more than 25% of second megatron's lifebar gone.
It is pretty fun. Some stuff feels really unnecessary like taking 5 minutes to beat up on the giant claws and the rooftop to rooftop ramps but the actual fighting is super.

I would dial it back. Definitely seemed like they designed it for you to start at the bottom, and work your way up. I have two playthroughs down, and commander is still rough. I also have terrible luck, and my best gear is c rank. You can get better ranked gear that can be leveled higher. You definitely need the credits to unlock all the moves too.

I got tickets for 10:30...am. figured the morning will be a lot less crazy.

In both of my leagues this year, I have the highest total points scored.  I'm also fourth place in both.

Fantasy football ladies and gentleman.

Really tempted to get that overlord game today. Not sure if it's cause the game looks good, I just want to end one of my drystreaks, or I'm trying to find an excuse to hit that 100.

wha? your gear comes with you on new playthroughs? well ok then, I'll dial it back. I guess it was good practice - I did manage to get devastator down only getting hit twice so I think I could probably get that shiny shiny no damage trophy, but I could not get him knocked in to a building. I read you have to get him stunned/kneeling by beating up his standing leg as he kicks but maybe my little sissy weapons can't do enough damage.

Because there are more workers comp claims due to accidents for people who do any framing versus those that only do drywall. It is all actuarial tables. If they do any of one then that is what they are always counted as.

You know why Home Depot and Lowes have the contractor entrance? So they can avoid paying the same as the people who work in the sawmill section in terms of WC. They dont really give a shit if the contractors have a more convenient entrance but that extra door allows them to code people differently.

Married to a former WC auditor.

Yeah, everything goes with you. It stays as the same file. You just have to play each new playthrough up to the first arc point, and then set your difficulty up. Which is what you can do right now, except down, and keep whatever you've earned.

Just booked my star wars tickets for 8:30 on that thursday. Grabbed them for one of the dinner and a movie places, so assigned seating, cocktails, and steak quesadillas here I come.

That's what happened to me my first time playing FF--2nd highest points in the league but 7th place of 8 for W/L. Even though I did very well consistently I always went up against the person that did the best that week. Losing multiple times in a row with 140+ points was just ridiculous.

so what's the over/under on severe disappointment this time around for you star wars fans?  is there any indication (other than the trailer) that it won't just be the phantom menace all over again?

I might watch it on tv if it's on, but I won't make any effort to go see it in the theater.  I just can't get in to star wars.  but I hope it doesn't suck for all of your sakes.

Don't leave us hanging man. What was the big important purple thing?!?!?!

(wait that doesn't sound right...)
Not sure if Gator answered but it was a giant purple dildo. She heard he was a big Saints Row fan.

Dude wtf man. Get that Dinosaur game with me!

No Jar-Jar Binks (J.J. Abrams hates him) and zero involvement from George Lucas is enough for me to get excited.

I'll go ahead and say I'm not a big fan of the previous movies themselves but a big fan of the lore. The major thing that has me excited is that it is directed by JJ Abrams.

If it sucks I'm at a place with alcohol so there's always more drinking and maybe I just won't remember it.

Assigned seating is really awesome. Gone are the day of having to wait in a long ass line for a couple of hours the night off.

Also my friend is a bartender at the AMC I'm going to so free drinks all night!

Might bite on the TV.

The trailers alone look better than the last 3 movies so that's all I need right now. No Lucas helps, and everything not being CG is also a good thing.

I find it funny you nerds hate the guy that actually created the whole Star Wars universe.

I get the hatred for the CG inserted into the original movies. And the hatred for Jar Jar but my god the man created one of the all time stories.  He can do whatever the fuck he wants and we are all jealous of that power.

The original trilogy is still great regardless of the added CG, but something happened (Lucas became more involved in other aspects of the filmmaking process?) that resulted in the next three feeling soulless and less fun by comparison, with Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan possibly being the main exception.

Well when you love something especially as a child (nostalgia), and then the creator shits in it's mouth, it kind of pisses you off.

I was talking to someone this morning how the 2 trilogies don't even look like they were made by the same person. This new movie looks to continue where Jedi left off, which is all we ever really wanted anyway.

I will always love the original trilogy.  Whatever they do from here on out doesnt change that.  If they make a shitty movie they make a shitty movie.  I really didnt enjoy episodes 1-3 much at all.  Oh well, dont care.  Will watch 7-9 anyway.  Hopefully they are great.  If not I will go back and watch 4-6 and never see the others again.
