Has Fatshark region locked before? I thought they were too small and Indie to mess with it, but I guess who knows if a bunch of dumbasses start announcing loudly on high profile sites like Reddit and Slickdeals that they are doing this then Fatshark might get a clue and start region locking.

I don't know why WB didn't region lock Max to begin with. Good for us but dumb for them.

I've no idea publisher to publisher.  I just don't trust stuff that's unlocked before release to stay that way afterwards.

Agreed that this whole thing is bound to be short-lived since it's going to be everyone and their dog yet again.  At least it'd be harder for GG to block BC purchases than it was for Nuuvem to block at the Paypal level.

They could just check what bluecoins was purchased using?
They should be tracking that already, unless they are stupid.

Well thanks to Syntax's heads up I went ahead and went over to Putinland and got me my Putin Ratz.  You know when Gilby first recommended us playing the beta I thought it was going to be a crap game, but this is one of those cases where a beta plus Putin Prices made buy something I otherwise wouldn't.  Hopefully we'll put together a Left 4 Ratz event soon.

I can't imagine why GG would be interested in tracking payment methods of blue coins.  They just want their money there.  Plus the coins are giftable so unless they had some way of segregating coins by country of purchase (and from reward coins), there's no real way of blocking it via that route.

Chargebacks for example. Good point on gifting tho.

you guys are saying that they WILL chargeback credit card but won't with blue coin?

Worst case: they are stupid enough to revoke ur steam key and refund u with blue coin on ur Putin account

Agentghost for as much as you hang around here sometimes you are as bad as MysterD about getting shit.
all i got was he suggest that we download the beta of Vermintide and input some key (obtained from somewhere?!?!) and make it into a full version? (unless I understand it wrong... :whistle2:$

I originally had no intention of getting Vermintide until it was eventually bundled, but everyone's posts convinced me how much I wanted needed to be killing rats.

Chargebacks for example.
True, but it's not as though we're dealing with an actual product here. You buy $5 in BC and your BC count goes up by 5,000. You do a charge back and your BC count goes down by 5,000 -- but there's no actual "coins" to keep track of and, if you got 200 BC in the meantime, it's not as though GG delves 200 coins down before they remove the 5,000. It's just a number at that point. That's what I meant by them not knowing the country of origin for "each" coin. 5,000 BC credit is 5,000 BC credit.

1000 Blockstorm Steam Key Giveaway

http://woobox.com/84xqeu
Honestly I can't be bothered with these types of giveaways where you have to log in with 7 different social networking sites, write some fake review and sacrifice your first born in order to get a steam key. Starting to look like some console peasant logic.

If it's given away for free it'll be bundled as well. I'd rather pay the 30 or so cents for it in a bundle than jump through all those hoops. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Ended up getting the VPN to work and snagged Vermintide for $7.15. Thanks, guys! I tried to find Tales of Anime but apparently that's not available on the Russian storefront. I guess there's no such thing as a weeaboo in Russia.

The damn ruble is all over the place. Mine was .08 more expensive yesterday haha.

i will be grabbing Nation Red. Been missing out on it since the Russian crack down

http://store.steampowered.com/app/39800/
You can find this fairly easily/cheaply on the trade market. IE http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/26447717 has it for 1 TF2 key right now.

Its historical low is $1.49, but its not been that low in almost 2 years. Recently its gone down to $2.49.

Its a cool game. Can be addictive and its an absolute blast with the full 4 players. There seems to be people that play it regularly as well. Ive been thinking of re-installing as I have a friend who constantly is nagging me to play it with him.

how much does a TF2 key go for these day? I wonder if I can paypal him for the copy rather than 1 key.

I want to grab a copy of Nation Red but I am out of the key trading thing for so long AFTER the Russian crack down.

Yea, I generally don't do key trades often anymore either except on rare occasions. I used to spend the majority of GabenBux on keys from the marketplace just for trade purposes. Now when I need keys I just find a seller. You can find key sellers on places like Steamgifts trade section that will sell them for about $1.70-$1.90 per give or take. Only thing you can do is add the guy and ask or take a look around for other traders that may be accepting Paypal for the game. Its not a hard find for cheap. If I had any keys Id just sell you one, but if I buy keys now they're for a distinct purpose and are gone quickly, usually for dispenser trades. Ask some friends to sell you one if you cant find a seller.

Is anything not region restricted at Nuuvem anymore?
Ask yourself if MysterD would buy it. If the answer is no then it's no region locked on Nuuvem.

IIRC they have Naruto, Dragonball and One Piece so it may show up eventually BUT I believe Bamco region locks.

Let's keep MysterD out of this, if you please. Just seems like they keep having stuff on sale that I would like to buy cheaper than elsewhere (without VPN) and when I add to cart, it invariably says not available in my country.

The only good thing in the old days about Nuuvem was at least when you hopped on their site w/out a VPN - if you didn't see a game on there (that others in other locations saw), then you damn well knew you couldn't buy it.

Yeah, GG would definitely have region locked copies if ToZ ever showed up there. Not only are there a bunch of region locked keys on steamdb for it, there's one locked to RU too.
