This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Let's keep MysterD out of this, if you please. Just seems like they keep having stuff on sale that I would like to buy cheaper than elsewhere (without VPN) and when I add to cart, it invariably says not available in my country.
I'm moving to Brazil, you should come, too. The asses, alone, are worth immigration.

Since I know how much y'all love to hear about me, Spoder, Drabes, et al's full price $50 weeaboo game.
Why do people like to spell "gist" with a "j"? Don't they know that makes people think of jiz—oh, I get it. I think I answered my own question there.

You can believe what you want to believe, but it's habit. One of the few words I don't catch when auto-correcting my writing because I type it from muscle memory.

Vermintide seems to be getting a ton of good reviews but on the forums I see a lot of people complaining about terrible optimization/overheating and other technical issues.  Plus, it's a Fat Shark game.  So what's the deal... anyone here actually play yet?  Thinking of grabbing a copy via Drabe but don't want to flush $8 down the can on Fat Shark crap.

They make terrible games (mostly coop/multiplayer) that die within months of release: Bloodsports, Lead & Gold, War of the Roses, War of the Vikings, Escape Dead Island, Krater, etc.

Here's a quote from a War of the Vikings review:

Game was great, but developers abandoned it in an unfinished state, and now it's deserted.
Do not buy this game.
These developers seem to hop from one multiplayer/coop license contract to another to sustain their studio but don't support their games after-the-fact.

oh crap... I blame you.. ALL OF YOU for this impulse buy.

(boot up the game and release my frustration on the rats)

Still, this game is getting a much better reception so... who knows.  Then again, it's getting to be common practice now to hand free keys out to any momo with a YouTube/Stream of 1,000 viewers so people who pay nothing are more easily pleased.

I impulse bought it too har har.

Whatev...I've spent WAY more on games I havent even played yet...$7 is nothing compared to them.

In other non-rat game that everyone's buying (you know you want it) news,

Can Viva Media hurry up and bundle this already? I want to play this grandma game about an evil weeping Mexican lady terrorizing kids and shit.

I played the Vermintide beta a week or two ago and posted my thoughts on it. I called it left 4 dead with rats way before Mooby did. Also the reason I Putin bro ed it since it was fun. My computer didn't blow up. I was using an amd radeon 6xxx card that cost me $30.

Since a few people have been asking me, re: Rebel Galaxy.

Worst game ever.  Just kidding.  For $20 it's a solid game with a lot of polish, charm, and decent amounts of content (missions, factions, a couple of guilds, plenty of ships, guns, etc.).  That said, I couldn't get into the 2D combat system.  I think after a prolonged time/getting acclimated to it I'd end up enjoying it but given the two hour refund limitation I opted to go for that and wait for a sale.

If you enjoy 2D/broadside capital ship combat then you'll love the game.  I found it somewhat awkward to be unable to take any kind of evasive actions other than raising a temporary deflector shield.  While the game is clearly designed for consoles, M+K controls work fine.  But in the limited time I spent with it I didn't feel combat was interactive enough as most of the damage you do is with auto-firing weapons.

Tried Vermintide. The melee is very satisfying.  Apparently it's Left for Dead with Melee and Rats in Warhammer setting.

Didn't regret Putin it one bit.  You guys should play it now, b/c it is at its highest player base.

Thanks for slapping me in the face, I almost booked my ticket to putinland. You are right, the history is all there. The games are not crap but they have no support. They are the Sony of game devs. Decent product, too busy with the next thing to bother with support. F you if you dont like it.
