You know Grandma wouldn't pick the right damned game anyway. She'd get Billy Motoki some Hidden Objection Big Fish game.
FTFY.

And I don't think Motoki would have a problem w/ adding more hidden object Big Fish games to his accounts. :)

FOXYPIE WHERES THE EVENT?!?!

Spoder's supposed to be running it in my absence, but he hates Left 4 Dead because he cheats and he sucks at it so he's probably "Away From Keyboard" aka creeping the boards and spodering keys while abandoning the bros. He's probably going to come back and be like "woops guys, I totally forgot I went to go watch the new Tyler Perry movie with my "friends.""

Welp, I just made everyone rage in L4D2.

Rundown:

Malk, spoder, Gilby, and I played first. We started a co-op campaign for The Parish, and we all did well until the last part where Gilby kept getting lost on the bridge and we all died trying to save him. So it restarted the bridge finale, and we got to the end when spoder and gilby were both incapped and Malkan and I died trying to save them again. Finale restarted again (you can't finish the game unless at least one person makes it) and gilby said "fuck this" and left immediately. Malkan, spoder, and I beat the finale finally with the bot. Took us 1 hour, 20 minutes to beat it.

Then spoder invited me to versus with Mooby and Malkan. We went 3v1 with me on my own team, and I beat 'em on the first level. Got disconnected for a while, but came back and they still hadn't killed me so that was a plus. Then there was an early Tank on the second level, and it was Mooby. I ran around him in circles chopping him with my axe until he died, and finished the level. Malk and spoder both raged right there. Mooby kept saying "We're Doomed." Mooby went out and I smacked him around as the tank then incapped the bots, and he noticed that the others left him alone and said he should rage too.

10/10 would stomp noobs again

big talk Mr.Blade. We will see how you fare in the Rat kingdom

I just finished the first few chapters of the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion for SWTOR and it seems pretty good so far with the production values on the story stuff having been increased. I guess EA figured it was worth investing more in since it'll probably get a bump in players with the new movie. I know there aren't many MMO players on here, but there are some Bioware fans so I thought it worth mentioning.

The Guild Wars 2 expansion Heart of Thorns also launches in a few hours as well for anyone interested in that.

I played SWTOR at launch and I really enjoyed the leveling process/story on the two characters I played to cap but grew tired of the endgame super fast.  I'll probably go back and play it at some point to see more story stuff if they are doing more with it again.  I liked some of the dungeons a lot as well but the gear-grind and raiding was basically just a reskinned WoW and I was hoping it would be a bit different.

It's being updated because it's consistently a high revenue generating F2P game. They really do snag people for both subs and extra gems/whatever so you can get mounts and costume pieces. Especially with their box of randomness crap. The completionist in me goes nuts in that game. I can't get every toy ship, though I tried, in my house. They won't all fit. I hit the max :(

The Bioware that developed SWTOR isn't the same one that developed KOTOR. Very important members of the staff changed.

Neither of these 2 games are in Steam though. Or really have any deals on them.

It's genius, actually.

There's a 1 bundle per payment method throttle on purchases, so instead of getting a ton of prepaid cards/making multiple PayPal accounts, they're having their users do it for them.

So far they've turned a huge profit (BTA-tier games cost 11k coins combined, not even counting the $1-tier games), not to mention the games are selling like hotcakes.

And they're not even putting up their own money this time, so they've got nothing to lose.

I'd only recommend doing it at the $15-tier if you're desperate to stock up on coins with relatively 0 effort.

Unsurprising, given the consoles of this generation (besides Wii U) are basically "special" PCs, and "suffering" the same transition to digital.

I also enjoyed the story and was expecting more than just a wow clone, for how much money they dumped into development there should have been a lot more. I've been meaning to go back to it and check it out again but Binary Domain seems like a better use of my time right now.

Played quite a bit of SWTOR. While the FTP model is a bit sh*t and has way too many restrictions (I have to unlock action bars?? Really?!?), once you pay the minimum $5 for "preferred status" the game is much better. Played with the wife and her brother for a while and had a blast, but towards the end, the flashpoints were too repetitive since we weren't leveling as fast. Hard to switch from FPs back to story mode in a group. I would love to go back and play it again either alone or as a group but I just don't have the time for MMOs like that anymore.

re: SWTOR

I had heard they were getting back to doing more of the Bioware style story content. There were a lot of complaints that for a while they were really just catering to the WOW / MMO crowd so it's nice to see the pendulum swing back in the other direction. I may have to check it out.

I miss my saucy blue Twi'lek Smuggler. She seemed like an actual character that belonged in that world to me and not just some wordless blank slate that most games try to do.

I actually think their F2P setup is fair for the most part. As long as you spend just a modest amount in the store or have ever subbed you get preferred status for good with less restrictions. Only the total scrubs who never spent anything get the most restricted access. Even then you can unlock more access in the store or auction house. As we've observed here and in certain chat rooms :p there are some people with an awful lot of time on their hands, so if they want to grind to get full access instead of paying for it there's that option too.

But Tremor coins are 1/10 of a cent and $15 only gets you $11.90. You're not making any headway paying for coins, since even the 95/99 coin games usually cost about 9 cents a game during IG happy hours.

From what I remember, they are supposed to be upping the XP gains to x8 (at least for story). Though not sure if it's subscriber only or not.

Anyone interested in it, it's worth getting a subscription, even if only for a month as you'll get all the expansions free (think you still have to buy them if f2p or preferred), and once you have em, you'll keep access. Can get time cards on Amazon if you have GC to burn.

Oh, also they are giving a free level 60 char, if just want to try out KOFTE/end game without grinding to it.

Okay Spoder or somebody more weeabous than I am, what does Vanillaware make and is this a good thing?

VanillaWare is “Exploring a Solution” to Bring Their Games to PC

Sometimes even we miss things – however, we’ve learned (thanks, Fangbreaker!) something exciting regarding Japanese developer VanillaWare.

When responding to a fan on Facebook, VanillaWare president George Kamitani said the company is considering to bring their games to PC, via Steam.

“[We are] currently exploring a solution for a pc version,” said Kamitani when responding to a fan asking if VanillaWare could port their games to Steam (Editor’s Note: We’ve omitted the direct link as this is Kamitani’s personal Facebook page).

Would you guys support VanillaWare releases on PC? Sound off in the comments below!

They make very pretty anime weeaboo games. GrimGrimoire, Muramasa, Odin Sphere, and Dragon's Crown to name a few. I've never actually finished one of their games. Historically, I've gotten bored with them after the allure of the bright colors wears off. They'll look very good in glorious HD, though.

Will patiently await the +1.

Edit: Also, massive tits.
