Trying out a brand new brewery in indy tonight. Awesome bbq pulled chicken sandwich. Beer is pretty good too, they keep it way too cold though. Couldn't taste anything when they first came out, had to let them sit for a while. So far I've had a honey amber, an ipa, and a couple sips of a kolsch. I think the ipa has been the best.

Stotch sticks it to blood bowl 2.

The only thing I'd point out is a big part of the strategy in the game is the reroll mechanic. It's there to cover your ass when the rng is being a dick and the bulk of spending on your team outside of players is building up rerolls (purchasing them outright or buying staff to get the kickoff bonus to grant an extra reroll). The other half of that strategy is to locate your players so that the opposing team has to make risky rolls (one die blocks or multiple dodges) to try to exhaust their rerolls early or force turnovers. I didn't figure that out until I'd played a dozen or more games though.

Regardless the game really is painfully unfair at times and 1.5 diamonds probably isn't far off unless you're a masochist. Like me apparently.

There's also a glitched trophy (that would be hard to get even if it worked) with no indication that it'll ever be patched which in a way is appropriate.

Played half of the Rapture levels then had to take a break. I had to skip level 4. That one seems impossible. Not sure what the trick is.
Yeah, that one's a bit difficult. I'm not sure how much help it'll be, but you can see what this guy did (start at 2:37):

TWD S2 did feel better, or at least more focused, than S1. I really hope Telltale does a third season after that Michonne spinoff they said they'd do.

Since I already owned the 25th Anniversary edition of the Back to the Future trilogy I wasn't going to bother picking up the new edition, but someone who wanted there own copy agreed to buy mine so I decided to try and hunt down one of those Flux Capacitor bundles. Those are already getting hard to find online at a reasonable price. The only store in the area that had them actually had them at the best available price. If you have a Hastings in your area they are selling it in-store for $65 which is slightly better than BB's price.

I spent all night putting work in, and all I get out of it is "We should hang out tomorrow."

Really enjoying AC Syndicate so far. I can tell already in going to be compelled to win back all the areas on the map. I'm not sure if it's because I took a year off from playing (made minimal progress in Unity) or because it is legitimately improved. Combat definitely feels improved. Can't wait to get that grapple gun.

I'm not very far in yet cause sleep..but I feel already that it's improved on unity even. Combat so far is faster. Simple but faster. And graphically the game looks better too. Loving it so far.

I'm sure I'll discover this as I play more but does it not always show the counter icon on enemies? I think I've tricked myself into expecting batman type information.

Loving AC Syndicate.  However it seems like it may be quick?  Played an hour this morning and already finished sequence 3?  I have the grappling gun, and while I love using it, it isn't always easy to use.  By that you are supposed to be able to use it to scale up buildings quicker as well, however I can rarely get it to detect points on buildings to go up.

But like everyone else, going from Unity to this, combat is greatly improved, getting much better.  and counter is much more responsive and forgiving.  Easier, but not 100% easy.

Trophies actually aren't that bad.  You don't have to open every trunk for plat, and all of the kill x number of people a certain way are really easy to farm since they count even after restarting a checkpoint.

So how does the siblings thing work? You're switched between them as the story progresses or you just choose which to play at any time?
You can switch between them by pausing and pressing R3, but not when you're on a story mission. Every time you level up each of them gets their own skill point. I'm still early, but so far they don't really play all that differently. I've been leveling up the same things for both of them.

you won't really see a huge difference, Evie has higher stealth skills, meaning people can't hear her as easily, and Jacob is a brawler, so his fighting stats and health when fighting is better

I prefer Evie.

Ha. Replaying sequence 2 I realize the first time I played the game glitched and two bad guys disappeared as I walked in to see the guy in the chair. This time I had to ass the two.

I haven't gotten remotely far enough to judge the game and it's RNG, but if you make one 86% roll, that's good odds. But if you have to make two 86% rolls your chances of failing one is twice as bad. So far to me the RNG seems fine. Try not having to make so many failure rolls by knocking opponents back/down or by just not running by them - don't try to run so far and move away from them

I can deal with the failed rolls that I make, but it definitely seems like the AI never has bad streaks. I'm sure that's not the case, but sometimes I'll have the AI dodge 5 tackles in the same move as a non-elf team and all I can do is shake my head. The only times the rng gets me on my turns is when I roll double skulls hit reroll and get double skulls again. But that's bound to happen statistically speaking. In fact, almost every time I reroll I get the same outcome as the first roll. Hmmmm....

I have no idea how may 13 is winning. Someone who voted for it wanna explain their side?
I'm gonna go full Therm and discuss what I think other people are experiencing.

I voted for Aug 14, but I'm guessing that Pinball Arcade/Sleeping Dogs combo came in a little ahead of the Dragons Crown/Fez combo. And that Crysys didn't do anything for them but Kyntt did. Or the walking simulator in Proteus turned them off.

Dragon's Crown is fantastic, but I suppose I could prefer May 13 after I get around to Sleeping Dogs.

Haven't in voted in most of these, since I haven't played the majority of these games. Would have voted for the NBA 2k14 month though, for sure. Also voted for Demon's Souls, as that was my favorite game of last gen.

I understand Sleeping Dogs for sure, but Pinball Arcade was just four tables. I personally hated Germinator, I thought it was pretty universally reviled around here, and then that Vita game I guess is really good for fighting fans, but again are there really that many here?

Not that August 14 was the best month ever, but I'd say Dragons Crown (for both PS3 and Vita even though its not cross buy) was pretty awesome, Crysis 3 isn't bad, and then Fez which has some pretty high praise. I loved Metrico but most didn't. Proteus is obviously the worst game on PSN and Road Not Taken unfortunately flopped pretty bad despite having some potential I thought.

Not that big of a deal or anything, but that result was really suprising to me. (it had a 3 vote lead when I first posted, maybe someone changed their vote)

Sleaking of gta. San Andreas was probably my least favorite. Mostly cause it followed vice city and I was probably a little burnt out by all three in a span of 3 years. Also the gang stuff was tiresome since you had to keep protecting territory.

San Andreas was just too big for me, feels like I spent a ton of time crossing the world back and forth and that got boring.

But I did like the story and characters from what I remember. GTA IV is by far my least favorite.

Really? I enjoyed San Andreas a lot. Probably my second favorite next to Vice City.

Sort of off topic, I wish they made a full blown Chinatown Wars and not that boring top down shit.

So this I guess is the mobile version that hit Xbox 360 forever ago?
I'm pretty sure but I could be wrong and misread it.

Chinatown wars was awesome. Probably my favorite recent GTA, I loved the top down. Couldn't get into any of the standard GTAs after San Andreas though. Really just not my type of game anymore.

Crysis 3 is about as bro gamer as it gets. 6 hour set piece heavy FPS campaign.
its my least favorite fps. I got stuck in both 2 and 3. I literally didn't know where to go and the games just weren't that fun so I didn't bother looking up what to do and quit.

I liked crysis 1 though.
