Made it to Safe Haven. Vig got in an argument with me and stormed off barely 100 miles into the journey. Zimm sneezed acid snot on some scrap making it unusable. Mild is apparently tubby in the Organ Trail-verse since he kept hiding food and then sat on a tire and broke it.
Organ Trail = Real Life

just don't go anywhere with pancakes. he almost ruined my trip. traded my last 3 medkits for junk near the end. among countless other piles of goods he either traded for junk, sat on, or ruined in various ways. tyler broke his arm, twice, then hit his head and died. wren kept telling funny jokes, and hitting his head(i guess how he came up with them all?).

What other decent MetroidVainias are out there?

Guacamelle has too much of a focus on platforming for me. Those sections where you have to time your jumps while switching between life and death worlds are mucho frustratingo.

La Mulana has a great sense of exploration, but the puzzles are far too esoteric to figure out.

Need something in between the two.
Outland is excellent.

Knytt Underground is more about exploration than anything else, but its designed like a metroidvania kinda.

Lords of Shadow Mirrors of Fate was alright.

Strider is good.

Hell Yeah Curse of the Wererabbit is surprisingly enjoyable.

I'm guessing you've played Symphony of the Night, which is also on PS3 if you haven't.

Wow just did an awesome triple kill where I stabbed a dude in the head and then used my cain like a bat and hit it out of the guys skull and into another dude's chest where I hit it again to drive it through.  fuck ing awesome.

IGN has 18 minutes of Below footage on their site (not sure why CAG is trying to embed their video)

It's coming first to Xbox, it's a Capybara game. Looks pretty interesting to me. I'll admit that one thing I'm learning that I hate in games is an obscured screen or field of view. Just show me the whole screen damn it!

neato! there's a handful of kill animations that seem random and awesome. I somehow did one where jacob pins a guy up against a wall with the two halves of the cane and lets go (at least that's what it looked like). then after the body slumps over he pulls them out. felt like it was a 30 second animation and all the other bad dudes just sat there and waited while I did this terrifying act of violence.

http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/news/the-biggest-beta-in-ea-history

More stats from the battlefront beta. 6 million players hit the max rank for beta and 1.6 billion minutes played. Beta sounds like it was really successful, hopefully the servers stand up half as well for the full launch.
3,044 single person days of playtime crammed in to what - two weeks? and it sounds like it was pretty stable. whereas street fighter 5 has had to repeatedly come down during betas for matchmaking issues and other stuff. and that's just 2 people at a time!

in other news, purportedly sony sent out a survey asking about what features people want and included things like changing psn id, custom backgrounds, more ps1/ps2 classics, and (yes please) hide/completely remove items from the library.

housemarque will now always be associated with that amazing song.
It already was for me. It was the soundtrack that would start in my head every time I saw their name.

After watching that video for the first time in YEARS, am I the only one that thinks the 2 women at the start were much hotter than the one that played the lead?

I didn't get a survey. Liar.

Battlefront beta wasn't even up a full week. From the 8th to the 13th. I don't think I had any problems with matchmaking, and there were definitely less than the R6 beta.

I'm hoping they send out more of those surveys. They also had a box for appear offline.

One of the items listed is "Store wish list". But that already happened so either this is fake or it was from a while back.
I'd consider keeping the game and grabbing the pass, but the price isn't something I really see as a reason to skip the game entirely.
For $100 I can skip it till cheaper. Just seems like some of these games are to pricey for my blood. I would imagine if you don't have the DLC it will be harder to find games to join. Plenty of other games for me to play that aren't over the top money grabs.

Too many other games I want to play come out around the same time. Less and less do I enjoy racing through a game so I can trade it before the value tanks.

Huge rumor, but many people are saying that Sony is planning on revealing name changes at PSX this year...

I think Mild and Prof have beaten the Blood Bowl 2 out of me. Ever since they talked about the RNG being unfair, I haven't felt like playing it. But also, SMB. I should play it some before I have to return it, though. I've barely started it.

In my experience, paid DLC maps for FPSs are a waste of money because most people won't have the DLC so you're left with DLC maps you never get to use. I say this having only played a handful of modern FPSs, so you know I know what I'm talking about!

That does not match my experience with COD. If you didn't have the DLC you would frequently get booted as the map changes from one you have to one you don't.

Just Cause 3 comes out a couple weeks after it. Rather play that anyway.

With FO4 coming out the week before and my current living arrangement being complete shit for my gaming time, prolly gonna completely pass on star wars battlefield for now too.

I played the beta a very small amount and it wasnt bad, I just dont have a good ability to play as much right now and FO4 will get all my attention for at least a month or so. Well that and some fifa thrown in.

Jimbo, others interested from yesterday:

Good article about numbers from the yahoo stream.
Yeah I hit their page with my laptop then cast it to Chromecast. Watch most of the first quarter and left it running when I went out. At some point my wife probably turned it off. Neither of us cared about the two teams. I am sure this inflated their numbers too.

Call of duty is a different kind of monster. Most other fps aren't operated the same way. Like keeper said, it's a no brainer if you have gcu. Going to be a couple months before we see a map pack, and it's going to hold a good value for a while. I have no plans to buy any season passes right now. If I end up playing any of these games enough, I'll hit up the goty complete ultimate remasters next year.

100% Organ Trail, thanks guardian_owl for the tip on getting sick and dieing.

and yeah I should put in fake names or internet people like you guys, it gets too serious when all my kids are getting bit by zombies. My daughter Jade freaked out when I had to put her down in her sleep ;) and my wife always drives the car into ditches

n most of the time I get the cod dlc because of the specops/zombies/whatever ghosts had with aliens. the mp maps usually kinda suck even tho im super prestige and have a clan and all. i dont think iv even played this last set yet.

n hey still room for exo zombies with cro and i. 100% or death

I'm sure I missed it, but did people already get their tickets to Star Wars opening weekend? The Alamo Draft house here is literally having showings for 24 hours from Thursday night till 12:45 Monday morning... Bought tickets for Sunday morning. Wife is a bit paranoid about me going to the opening night or Friday showings (After Aurora shootings) and I'm fine with going Sunday to put her at ease a bit.
I was disappointed by the one time I went to Alamo Drafthouse. The rules about no talking or no cell phones sound good until you realize there will be waiters and servers walking in front of you during the movie.

I'll stick to a pirated copy with hardcoded Chinese subs, the way they intended us to watch movies.
