That was really fast.

Indivisible is only 1/3 of the way to goal. Amazing how some games get tons of kickstarter funds in no time but this is dead even though it looks great:

I got to The End's boss, but haven't been successful yet. There's a jump I get to that I can't quite get far enough to reach the other side, and if I jump a little higher I hit a spinning blade. Hmm.

Would it be doing better on Kickstarter? I'm unfamiliar with the success rate of projects funded through Indiegogo.
Not sure. Good question. I thought this was interesting when I went looking for differences:

Similar to Kickstarter is IndieGoGo; the main difference is that with IndieGoGo, you get to keep the money pledged if your project fails to meet its goal. While the all-or-nothing policy leads to motivation on Kickstarter, there’s something nice about getting any money as opposed to none. While both are arts-oriented, IndieGoGo seems more lax on what sort of people and projects are allowed. IndieGoGo charges a 4% fee if your project succeeds (if you don’t meet your goal, it rises to 9%).

So with that in mind with a dev that has shown previous success I think Indiegogo might be better. If they don't get all the way to the goal they can still use the money that was submitted and then either leave off the extra features or seek other funding sources for the remainder.

You might have trouble with that since you need a promo code at Newegg for the $39.99 price, so add it to your Newegg cart with the promo code first and show that to the Best Buy employee.
Yeah, I don't have high hopes for it, but I've been successful matching that sort of thing in the past at my Best Buy. They're pretty chill over there. And they know me. Half the time they don't even verify what I'm matching.

I seem to have misplaced my Vita case, so I'm in need of another cheap, good case. Small with padding to protect it from a drop. A pocket or two wouldn't hurt. Suggestions?

I had to look this up - indiegogo has two campaign types. "fixed" - the traditional kickstarter model where either you meet your goal and get funded or nothing. the "flexible" model is the type where you keep funds that were contributed even if you don't meet your goal. indivisible is under the former "fixed" umbrella. they've purportedly stated that they're closing up shop if this doesn't fund, so the whole thing is a little depressing to me. I think they're pretty cool and probably shouldn't have let it ride on a pie-in-the-sky crowdfund for a niche genre title.

The quality of these photos is amazing. From a 1968 arcade:

I love the voice recorder that makes you a record.
Those photos are amazing. And whats amazing is how everything in the 60s and 70s looked so...old...and dirty. Every time I see pics from anywhere in that time period shit just looks so dirty. Like everything was used for 50 years and never cleaned.

Huh. That sucks--both to the fixed and the closing up shop.

I still haven't gotten around to Skullgirls. I was hoping to play the Vita version but that may not even release at this point. I'm not even sure what difference there is between the PS3 (Encore) and PS4 (2nd Encore) versions of the game, but I guess I'll hit up the PS3 version since it was on Plus. Unless the Vita version does come out, anyway.

I was disappointed by the one time I went to Alamo Drafthouse. The rules about no talking or no cell phones sound good until you realize there will be waiters and servers walking in front of you during the movie.

I'll stick to a pirated copy with hardcoded Chinese subs, the way they intended us to watch movies.
See I am fine with them walking in front of me. They literally do it maybe twice the whole movie, the silence is why we go. Other theaters around here are so loud and people talking and texting. The biggest thing I hate around here are the teenagers at the movies for more of a hangout and social event then seeing a movie.

At Alamo the no talking and no one under 18 makes it perfect! Not to mention we love their green chili queso dip and ours has some great local beers on tap for reasonable prices. $5 a pint.

skullgirls is great. the ps4 version is a lot more fleshed out as a game, but the ps3 version is totally serviceable if you want to check it out. they swear up and down that the vita version is getting closer all the time but no firm release date.

They've said the Vita version will be cross-buy. Maybe the PS4 version will show up in a flash sale cheap enough to justify the upgrade over the PS+ free price.

I don't think I mentioned it yesterday, but syndicate is _still_ great.  they improved on every possible aspect of the game.  I don't know if it's as good as brotherhood, but it's definitely the best one since brotherhood.

So 11 AM in the only place that matters, gotcha...

yeah other than still having some control issues from time to time (attaching to wrong ledges and not running the right way) its improved and fun. London is the best city yet. Grappling gun would be better if you could chose your own targets though. The game likes to chose shit behind you a lot. Annoying.

Peace, Love, Drugs, and Rock and Roll, no one gave a shit to clean up. Lol.

I haven't had any issues with the grappling gun luckily - when you're standing next to a building L1 should pick the closest building to scale. Once you're up there there seems to be enough grapple points to generally make me happy. I usually go from point to point grappling and mashing the box button in case someone is below me (to pick away at those zipline assassinations).

4PM EDT is the next housemarque reveal.  It'll probably be a reveal of the book based on the documentary based on their making a game with the guy who made defender.
