Finished Sequence 7.  Warning, you have to complete three gang wars before you can start sequnce 8.  So I have some work to do.  Hope to finish the story tonight and clean up most everything tomorrow.

I missed a bunch due to a meeting, but I came back and the group was still politely applauding like a subdued golf crowd. This current games looks like it will get polite applause too.

I mean what the  fuck is it, this isn't explaining like they said it would....

Housemarque has been working for a while on aliennation, with it coming out soon.  They have probably moved most fo the team on to Matterfall.  which is why we got a pre-rendered trailer.

Most everything has been golf claps. I'm beginning to think the Europeans aren't nearly as easily excitable as Americans.

When are game companies gonna realize that the vast majority of us are not creative and that we're paying to do the creative for us.  Don't make me work, just let me play.

But I'd totally buy Dreams if you could get all Freddy Kruger on their asses.

So this is hitting everything I wanted in gaming...

1) Such heavy concept games that nobody will understand it when you try to show it along with six-axis controls that I thought died with the PS3 and Move.

2) VR games

I can die happy now.

We knew VR would be a huge part of this presser, Sony hasn't spent much time and with rumors of a first quarter 2016, they have to get some things going.

Or they could wise up that nobody wants this garbage and avoid throwing good money after bad.
here is the thing... VR is very hard to show to somebody. It is only understood when you actually try it. It is the biggest uphill battle Sony and all the other VR headsets will have to overcome.

Every single person that has tried PS VR have said it is amazing and really works. But the problem is it will be hard for us to try. They need to start doing lots of demonstrations everywhere so that they can get it in the hands of consumers.

It was really how the Wii did so well. People tried it, and then started raving to their friends and soon everyone was getting one. You could watch a video and say, hey this is dumb, but until you actually played, there was no way to tell.

A friend of my has the Oculus Rift 1 and 2. I've used 1 and it was pretty cool but the resolution was way too low and the comfort level was terrible. It made my eyes water and that just ended up with drops scattered on the screen. Didn't work well. Despite that it was still really cool even with the tech demos at the time. He says 2 is a lot better and I imagine VR is a huge improvement over that as well.

I've no idea what price point they're going for, but if they target ~$200 I think it'll do okay. Higher than that will be problematic unless critical/fan reception is amazing. Does anybody know at this point if the unit runs off PS4 or if it does its own thing somehow?
