Not that I had high hopes or even care about mobile games but Nintendo's first mobile game is Miitomo (Mii Friends). Lol Nintendo. No one likes Miis anymore...it was cute and fun when the Wii launched but its time to let it go. Also delayed until 2016. This "new" Nintendo is largely extremely boring. If the NX isn't something really compelling I'm gonna call it a day with anything Nintendo.

Sony EU Jim Ryan says they're still working on 1st party Vita content, just not AAA stuff.

Ryan has said there has been some confusion, and although Sony is not working on big budget Vita games, there are still internal projects ticking over for the handheld.

“To clarify what was said about Vita, which was either misinterpreted or misreported: I think what was said was that we’re no longer in the business of triple-A development of games for Vita. But there is still first-party Vita content being worked upon.”

Ryan was speaking during Paris Games Week, where no Vita games were mentioned during a 90 minute presentation of Sony’s forthcoming titles.

The side-by-side comparison makes the Vita version look horrendous but at the same time it's very misleading because the YT video size is much larger than the Vita's. It's a shame these comparison videos never have a way to make the video smaller; being able to specify a 5" video size and see the comparison in that would be much more useful.

I really need to get back to actually playing these. I started the first game and it seemed fun but got distracted by other things. The series as a whole has such a great design but Sophie's characters look ridiculously good. Sophie does seem to be more sexualized than I thought the previous games were, but I'm not sure if this is a real change or if I just haven't played enough of the previous games to know that was an element of them.

 
Anyone else's Vita like to flash the low battery notification with a non-low battery?  I've been getting it a lot lately.  I get the notification when I don't think I should, I press the PSbutton and my battery level is in the red.  Then I go back a minute or two later and the battery level is full or just short of full.  My charger cord is admittedly falling apart, but this seems more like a shitty battery issue.  My Vita best not be dying.

 
looks like wren is going to outrun me to the syndicate plat.  I made some good progress yesterday sneaking in time while working at home but I've still probably got 5-10 hours left of chugging through missions and breaking lamp posts with a horse drawn carriage.

 
is knack seriously that bad?  like 'actively avoid' bad?  

I've got dragon quest heroes and grand ages medieval (wtf is this?) queued up at the library but I'm bummed that I have to take talos principle back.  it's not a bad game at all with some real nice bite size puzzles.

I love how they show some of the undead queen battle without any slowdown or frame rate loss. That was a huge problem on the ps2 was that battle would go into single digit fps it got so bad. Always glad to see Odin Sphere

And skipping back to the conversation from yesterday, there could be a number of reasons why they wouldn't have the PS+ games locked down till the last minute. Particularly since they started doing games that are a PS+ free game on launch day. I imagine indies are particularly bad about working up till the last minute (see. Zombie Vikings) so they can't announce it until they are sure it is going to be certified for launch the following Tuesday.

Pursuing PS+ games from bigger publishers is probably also a bigger production since they have more leverage in the negotiation. It could be they are haggling on price right up until the last few days with back-up games in case they can't come to an agreement. I sometimes wonder if that's what happens when only part of the leaked PS+ list turns out to be true and then we get some small indie instead like Papo Y Yo.

I should be ahead of you Mild! I have been playing it for three days straight! Its taking a lot longer than I thought it would. No way this is a 20-30 hour plat. More like 30-40. I have no money and still need to get a lot of gang upgrades. Its my last trophy. I hope I can get it tonight when I get home from work but I doubt it.

Keeper good luck platting this next week with only 1 hour a day. Its a pretty good grind.

I'm probably too late but as far as gang upgrades goes - focus on getting everything on the right first, starting with whichever one makes gang upgrades cheaper and then the income ones (bar, sports, bookie, whatever). all of the income ones help a lot more than the description says - they say they add 500 to your income every 30m which is maybe true, but I started getting 11-18k or so every time I grabbed money out of the safe instead of maxing out at 1100. Also, the upgrade which makes the kids on the street give you better stuff actually makes them give you rare materials (science and silk) which makes that worth getting earlier too. I Was able to knock them all out this morning where I only had about 8 filled in previously. Still had to ransack a couple dozen chests for materials though.

edit - the 30-40 hour plat is probably about right. I'd like to take a second and acknowledge that some of the first plat achievers have completion times that measure in 3 days or less. that's pretty nuts and I feel nuts for probably getting the plat squared away in 10 days or so.

I have a ton of materials from all the chests I have been stopping for (almost) every time I see one. I just need money. I did see the stuff on the right would be best to get and have been trying to fill those up first. I guess I should have started buying those early on to rack up money while I played missions etc. If I had done that instead of buying new weapons and upgrades I would be done already I think. Oh well.

I don't know I breezed through 32 last night and 33 (dropped in with no supplies no support) kicked my ass. I'm sure it's not as hard as I was making it out to be but failed a good 5 or 6 times. Guess I'll try a different approach next time. I know 34 is marked EXTREME so guessing the difficulty will remain. What mission are you up to?

40, I think. If 33 is the one I think it is (C2W Subsistence), it's a cakewalk to S-rank if you destroy the anti-air radar at that communications outpost in free-roam, select the LZ in the outpost for the mission, then use the helicopter's minigun to shoot all of the radar boxes while you're flying in. If you're fast enough, the mission will finish before the helicopter attempts to drop you off.

Note that you'll probably have to upgrade your helicopter's armor by 1-2 levels so it won't explode from all the gunfire it'll take since you'll be flying right where everyone can see you.

I'm not looking forward to working on the mission tasks for that one, though, or for any other Subsistence mission.

On the way to see the lawyer this morning some bitch was blocking the road in the Mcds parking lot.  She was trying to cut into the drive through lane when she should have gone around.  fuck in bitch.  Anyway I laid on the horn for several seconds.  I never really do that but I guess I was worked up thinking about the divorce?  Anyway the bitch got out of the car so I felt I had to as well. We yelled at each other a bit then I realized this was dumb and could do nothing but hurt me so I just got back in the car and left.  I was mad for a bit then laughed at myself for being so dumb.  I usually control myself pretty well.

That sounds good and yes that is the mission. I actually watched a youtube vid too of an S-Rank. Guy started from the opposite end I did where there is a few guys with launchers. He takes out like 2 or 3 of them takes the launchers blows the radars and runs away. I find it a little strange S Rank isn't tied to mission tasks...and not just how long it takes in some cases. A lot of the S Rank videos I watch just feel like screwing with the system rather than playing perfectly. Then again I'm not going for the plat either. 33 is tough though since there are so many guards packed so close together, makes it a lot harder for stealth. I'd even draw guys away but seemed like there was always another 2 waiting.
