wren - any tips for getting the 50 gun counter kills before I dig in to that tonight?  did you just go in to a memory and herd a bunch of guys and run away so they'd shoot with jacob (for the insta-headshot skill)?

Pretty much. There are several Youtube vids. Google the trophy and you will see them. It only took me a few tries to get it. I must have had a lot randomly when clearing out burroughs. Child liberation mission 7.

As a native Floridian, I am going to have to call bull shit on that. There are plenty of home grown crazy people too. I will say that other states crazies do end up there too making it worse though.

Nope even easier way! with NO LOADING! Go to Buckingham palace. On the roof are 4 sniper guards spread out. Get near them with a low level gun. Everytime triangle appears shoot back, you get 2-3 counters per guy. Then run away and come back, and they respawn. Much easier then loading a checkpoint on one single guy.

I thought you had to kill them for it to count - not the case? If not I should be pretty close already then.

 
Watching the NieR: Automata trailer reminds me that I need to play NieR and Drakengaard 3. Automata actually seems closer to the gameplay of Drakengaard 3 since Nier was dated even at release.

Dont listen to anything on the pstrophies guide. His descriptions are wrong on a lot of them and thats one. You dont have to kill the enemy. Every counter works which is what the trophy says so not sure where this guy is getting his info.

You can flip any carriage, not just bad guys and cops. The guide is wrong on that too.

Yup what Pharm said, they don't have to kill them... so much easier to get then what was first thought. Heck PS4 trophies on YouTube had the first video out and said it didn't have to kill them that the place where he farmed it he would get 2 and then restart checkpoint. The way I mentioned is better because you don't have to wait to restart the check point.

EDIT: Apparently not since the PST.org trophy guide is all kinds of wrong?.

I was actually in good shape until Tuesday was spent playing Halo 5 and last night was spent with the wife. I'm hopefully gonna have it wrapped up this weekend though and then just have a couple grindy trophies for the plat.

I know your Portland mentality cant fathom it but trust me, not everyone that eats at McDs is an obese whale. And McDs breakfast is really good. McMuffins arent any worse for you than any other breakfast sandwich you can get anywhere. It wont be all organic, but it also doesnt cost you a leg.

Also tempted on this because of the price. Is this one attention demanding, or could I have it on and take my turn without paying too much attention to it? (IE playing a vita or PC game while the comp takes its turn?)

 
3D dot game heroes is one I bought at release too but for some reason didnt get very far.  Always wanted to go back to it but never got around to it.  And I pretty much turn my nose up at PS3 games now.  Too many PS4 games to get through already in the backlog.

It's a love letter / parody of the older, top down Zelda games, so its in that vein. You conquer a dungeon and use the item you get in that dungeon to access new areas and dungeons on the overworld maps. The graphical style is like if 2D sprites were suddenly rendered in 3D, but gameplay is still 2D for the most part.

Plat requires 3 playthroughs though if that matters to you, it has an above average TT score because of that, 3500.

Yeah, gonna have to pass on it. I've already got way too much in the PS3 backlog and I'd like to pretend I can phase it out completely before the end of 2016.

 
I'd buy Blood Bowl, but I guess I can just borrow it from the library periodically and get whatever fix I want from it. So far I've barely played it anyway.

Is this kinda stuff big in Japan or something? At the very least, it doesn't appear to be anything Americans would be interested in. I'm really hoping Nintendo can make a 4th quarter comeback, but they don't seem to have any idea what people want.

I'm obviously not the target demographic for most mobile games, but there's a certain type that sells. Just swap up the formula on one of those a bit to add in mario or whoever, and make your fairly simple cash. Hell, I'd play angry birds zelda, or clash of clans metroid, tomagatchi pokemon, whatever. I'm not gonna be the one who shells out and mobile whales it, but there's definitely someone who would.

Rather than paying $20+tax for Talos Principal I put in a request for at the library, but so far it is "On order" and I'm 8th in line. Not sure how long it's been in that status. I can wait, though, so it's fine. I need to be saving money, so this works.

The one plus is they mentioned while this has an in-app purchase model the other games would be pay to download. I'm hoping that means some more traditional stuff.

I was really thinking about it the other day since some peeps in here get upset when I rag on Ninty but a question I'll pose to all of you as well. What was the last Nintendo game where you could really say to yourself this is amazing, something new, and something that had you genuinely excited?

If I'm being honest Super Mario Galaxy is probably the last game that felt super inspired to me. That game launched in 2007. This obviously isn't to say Nintendo hasn't had great or amazing games since then but it was one of the last games I could point to that gave me that Nintendo high.

I started adding a few walmart games to my cart, but thankfully decided I don't need a shit ton of more physical games laying around. LEGO Batman 3 is 6.88 for the vita if that interests anyone and not mentioned. I was going to get that and cod ghosts for PS4 since I bought that cheap season pass. R&C collection would be a good deal too, but oos.

Topside..I finally caught you on the TT leaderboard thanks to the crazy high points for the Oddworld vita ganeme.
