This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Other than the weirdness, it was a pretty fun golf game.  Think mini golf style with lots of traps and obstacles and after you put your  ball in the hole your hummingbird could then use powerups to sabotage other players.  Yeah, it sounds super weird, but it's fun.

It was a lot more fun than any of us expected it to be. The mixed reviews on steam don't do it justice. Really nice game to get for free.

I was the one griefing people early on, but later on started sucking and everyone attacked me lol. On the last arena course we did I continuously bombed and tornadoed JohnHarker/SSP and DukeEdward while they tried to take one hole, which got my score high without me even trying for any holes. I think it's the most fun I've had playing a golf game tbh, it's got a nice mix of powerups and the courses are fairly challenging and well built.

I might set up another event for it some other time, it's worth playing again. Probably gonna do another event for Damned too later in the month.

Single player Vertigawhatever Golf was a boring & frustrating slog.

Adding goofy powers cribbed from cart racers like Sonic All-Stars into a free-for-all multiplayer makes it surprisingly enjoyable.  Plus, any game that easily lets everyone gang up on spoder gets serious bonus points.

Has that been confirmed? The stuff I've been reading doesn't seem clear on if it's a full release title or if it's F2P and this is just like the Heroes of the Storm physical bundle where you get a bunch of heroes/skins.

I always found TF2 kind of boring, but the abiltiies add enough gameplay variation in Overwatch that I find it a lot more fun. It's too bad Valve can't count to three, because I'd like to see if TF3 would be better or if it would just add more hats.

But if you don't own soundtrack DLC for Darksiders 1 and 2. You get nothing.

Darksiders 1 Soundtrack DLC was available for like 1 hr, before they realised it's in base game too

Thing is, if Valve can separate out the people who own the game and DLC to give them a higher discount then there's no sensible reason why they can't also take that same group and give them the DE.

And if for arguments sake someone at Valve is being incredibly stupid and useless and can't or won't figure that out then just give it to everyone who owns the base and call it good for Christ's sake. That DLC is old and not worth a damn at this point so stop disgruntling your customers you Swedish or German dingalings (or whatever the hell they are).

Well, with black Friday quickly approaching and my current video card being old enough to start kindergarten now I'm hoping to replace it this time... Looking for ideas, most I could spend is $350 but likely allot less.

(Current card is a Radeon 5850.) No G-Sync or anything like that in my monitor.

Edit: My video card is the biggest bottleneck on my pc.

These seem to be the top cards you can expect in that budget range.

However, if you are satisfied with 1080p high (sometimes ultra) 60fps settings, then an R9 380 for ~$200 might be your best bet.

 
You should be able to get a 970 in the $250 range or an R9 290X for ~$200 this holiday season. They've been dipping down around those prices for the last month or so (inc. rebates).

Virginal golf was fun even though I cut out a little early to eat some late dinner. I sucked but then everyone seemed to take turns sucking. Speaking of my poor phrasing, I was disappointed at the lack of juvenile "holes" humor from the Bros. You'd think a line like "I've been having troubles for three holes now" would be a perfect set-up but these guys are just stoically all about their mini-golf.

R9 290X seems to be a better card than the R9 380 at essentially the same price point.

Edit: Well, I had been seeing them around $250.  Might be harder to find as they get phased out and rarer.

The holes were always filled before I got there. Sometimes I crossed clubs with the other bros trying to get into the hole first. Then when the other guys would get into the hole first, they would spray me with green goo when I tried to go into the hole.

 
Was playing Phantom Breakers the other day and as soon as I hit 2 hours all cards dropped. Hopefully more devs take that into consideration.

Yes. You can change the option in the settings.

If you previously requested a refund on Steam and were added to their e-terrorist watch list, idling games simultaneously for the first 2 hours saves much time. If you haven't requested a refund the 2-hour delay for card drops was apparently removed, so you're better off just idling games one by one.
