This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Seems legit to me, I looked into them and wouldn't have bought if they looked questionable.

They get their keys from a "source" they won't name, ie not the publishers, ie guysellingwatchesoutofajacket.gif.

But they sell physical crap in the UK and seem to give half a crap about their rep so the key probably won't have Issues and if it does they'll probably refund which is probably all you care about.

TL;DR don't worry your pretty little head about it.

Finally got a chance to fire up Black Ops III and wasn't impressed off the bat. Its the first "big" game that Ive ever won, so I was extra excited just for that reason, but after a bit of tweaking I got it running pretty damn good. There's a lot of people (seemingly) complaining about poor optimization and I agree that its not where it should be perhaps, but its certainly not near the worst (have read some compare it to Arkham Knight already which is ludicrous). The options are REALLY sensitive IMO. Never had a game where FOV mattered so much in terms of setting to get a better FPS. There's also 2 resolution settings. One for regular screen resolution and another for render resolution which I cant recall seeing before. Reason why my shit did not look good at first was because those weren't the same. Motion blur also blows across the board, but at least turning it off really helps.

They definitely need to do some tweaking but after some trial and error I got it running to where I was happy with it. Pretty steady 60 FPS with occasional drops, but not where Id expect drops, even lots of shit on screen wasnt causing them. Almost seemed random, but they werent game breaking or immersion killing.

Anyway, played the first mission and a bit of zombies. Was literally getting raped by a robot and Christopher Meloni saved me, so theres that at least. One thing that is a bit funny, its apparently 2050 or something like that in the game world, and clips still only hold 30 rounds. You'd think they'd have figured out a way to increase that by then.

FOV tends to matter in many FPS due to the draw distance rendering more on screen at once. This is why console FPS have narrow FOV because is to gain a couple more average frames.

The render resolution in that which is basically in-game downsampling method. If you played Battlefield 4, there is also an option to render it higher than your native resolution.

How many rounds did the robot's clip hold? And how many had he emptied into your hole?

I pointed out spoder's bald lesbian was touching herself in the lobby waiting for the game to start in the golf game and noone was surprised

These seem to be the top cards you can expect in that budget range.
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-4.html

However, if you are satisfied with 1080p high (sometimes ultra) 60fps settings, then an R9 380 for ~$200 might be your best bet.
u forgot to mention about Radeon and ATI "amazing" driver and compatibility support.

i was exclusively ATI camp due to price but after losing hairs trying to run my games with those cards, I switched camp. They should have improved their support and drivers better to stay competitive with NVIDIA

They just sent out an email that they won't be providing keys until Nov. 9th due to a mixup they had with Call of Duty that they don't want to repeat, where they sent double keys by accident or something. And offered to refund my money if I don't want to wait.

Not sure what I should do. They had the best deal and I'm already paying more than my PS4 pre-order cost, don't want to pay even more to GMG.

It's probably worth paying an extra $5ish to know it's a legit key, will work in my region, and can get the key today. Sucks that I know I can get it almost $10 cheaper on console, even the season pass on PS4 is $10 cheaper than PC in Canada.

Ok I canceled Funstock, may order from GMG if I can't find a better deal.

You can pre-order the Steam Controller from Amazon now?

Not completely surprising I suppose. I think I might be the last person to realize this due to my recent thread inactivity. You'll still get the pre-order bonus games, Rocket League and Portal 2. Free shipping and potentially no tax makes this slightly better than buying from the Steam store.

(Current card is a Radeon 5850.) No G-Sync or anything like that in my monitor.

OP is already "Team AMD" so I figured drivers havent been an issue for him.

I'm too exhausted at bitching at Nordic to bitch at the Van Helsing idiots so hopefully enough other people bitch at them to get them to fix it soon.

And I never cited them as doing what Nordic can't exactly because I suspected this shit would happen.

wat. The Van Helsing dev actually gave keys. Maybe you misread my post?

My Van Helsing key is blank.  :oldman:

In other news, Fallout 4 preload is up.  23.8gb.  Even I should be able to finish that up by Tuesday!

I got a blank and a bunch of other people did. Go read the thread.

Edit: some of them also got duplicate or some other BS msg and have to write in to them for a key. The blank people supposedly have to wait for them to fix it.

I know, I'm just being impatient and most likely will wait for Black Friday. Why no EVGA? In your opinion what's a better brand?
I actually thought EVGA had a good reputation? The last card I bought was an XFX because they had a lifetime warranty if you registered online. I think I've owned Sapphire and Galaxy cards too. I've never had any like real issues. I think with everything, there's going to be some duds, but you just hope you get a good one or that they have good customer service.

My van helsing key showed on my phone after refreshing. I used their email button to send it to myself and that never came through. Now it's back to blank again.

My last 2 cards were EVGA, neither lasted and their CS support was frustrating to say the least. I just think their fans are poorly designed and act more like dust traps than cooling agents. Now I'm on MSI 970s in sli and have yet to have any problems.

Free Face Punch thing

Don't know what it is, but it's a free steam key. Not many remaining. You need to own a Facepunch game to get a key apparently (I think Rust or Garry's Mod?)

Totally not stolen from madjoki in hangout chat again

Good news everyone, canceled my Fallout 4 Funstock Digital order, switched to GMG and now pre-loading. Cost me an extra $5 Canadian but that's okay.

So I played the Facepunch Protoypes and it just opened a folder on my computer.  Awesome game.  11 out of 10 would add Windows Folder Opener Simulator 2015 to my Steam library again.

You have to follow these instructions:

"There's nothing on this branch. It's empty.

You need to switch to the main branch in Steam:

1. Right click Facepunch Prototypes and select Properties
2. Switch to the BETAS tab
3. Change the beta dropdown to "main"

Steam should then start download all of our prototypes. Have fun!"

Also, here's more info on the prototypes:

Well I didn't believe you, but I got the thing working. There's a zombie shooting game called Facewound that is pretty good. Are we not allowed to post any footage or something? I got some sweet bear action from Skytest.
