PS4 price drop hit early in the month too. It'll be interesting seeing which console pulls ahead in nov/dec. Both have good bundle sales available heading into the holiday, but Xbox definitely has the stronger exclusives this season. Not sure what the numbers are going to be on tomb raider though, they were kinda between a rock and a hard place for release dates. Dunno that it'll be any kind of a system seller.
It will probably be fairly substantial, it was two packs that they combined into one so it will be $20. A physical release of the GOTY edition comes out in late November in Europe and Dec 3rd in Japan. So it is unlikely, but conceivable, they they will announce an early December NA release near/after Black Friday. If you care about the story of Soul's game typically the expansions are mainly about digging deeper into the lore of the world to clarify some hazier aspects of the story. If you just enjoy the combat aspect then you're probably safe to stick with the cheaper vanilla version.I'm thinking of picking up Bloodborne for $16 as well. How much is the expansion? Guessing the GOTY would launch at full price. Not that I need an expansion on a 40+ hour game though anyway. Lol. Why are so many games soing long lately?

I haven't played any of the Souls games or Bloodborne so this would be a first for me. I think at $16 I can see what I think and get the expansions later if it blows me away.
Seems like going from Bloodborne to any of the first three Souls games would be difficult to get used to due to the slower combat. Has anybody done so? I'd be concerned about the Souls games feeling very tedious in comparison.

GCU is automatic. The cashier doesn't have to do anything except for enter your phone number. If you buy even 3 new releases and nothing else over the 2 year period you're still coming out ahead.
Trophies or not, SR2 is my favorite. The third was okay and I really just didn't like 4 much at all for some reason.
GCU. Otherwise its a great choice to consistently save a few bucks. Especially on CEs or Limited Editions or whatnot. I've personally never had any problems getting it to ring up properly, just have them put in your phone number during the transaction (they're supposed to ask if you a my best buy member anyway) How are we still going over this lmao. 
Two weeks on black Friday weekend would be my guess.
Teslagrad and Bastion are both getting Vita ports with cross-buy. Might want to wait on those.
ing digital (or at least I was) and the benefits just grossly outweigh the cost. It pays for itself in no time. New games save $12, $20 games save $4, trade-in bump on games you are flipping, etc. etc. etc.

You should be good with using Gift Cards to purchase. They work like cash on bby transactions. It's buying a gift card that would be the problem.
I'm like you with this, and is why I haven't bothered to get gcu til soon. The last new game I bought on release was Grand Turismo 5. With just getting the ps4, and knowing I'm going to grab fallout 4 new as well as the black friday stuff, I'll already get my value of the gcu. If not for this one push of getting a bunch of stuff, I wouldnt feel the need for gcu. The only other game I'll probably buy right away in the future new is U4.
I've never bought a used game from BestBuy, not sure why I would suddenly start now if I had GCU.

I always forget about that place tucked in that corner. I mainly go to BestBuy in Delafield now so I don't get to Brookfield as often.
On the sales side it has never been an issue. The issue has only been on the trade side. I think they made it better at the POS end. Last few trades went off without a hitch. Just traded UCC. $37 base. 10% bonus $40.70. Plus I earn a few points too. It is now tied to the phone number. The girl helping me seemed to know what she was doing. Asked me for my phone number. Handed my back my BB rewards card without even scanning it. Said the system picked everything up from the phone number. Was almost as fast as a GS trade. Hopefully they finally got this figured out.
Gift cards yes, certs bring your total cost down so it won't work if your total is less than $50 after cert.
I think you're missing the point. If you can muster up the cash to buy 1 new release game at $48 (most big releases come with $10 back), you can play for a week or two, trade it back and get back close to the same amount you paid. Rinse and repeat for several new releases after that. If you don't have Best Buy close to you to go do the trade, then I can see your issue. And I guess you might not want to have to force yourself to play through them that quick.
I went back to Demon's Souls after Bloodborne, 6 years after I first started it. It was definitely a different kind of gameplay experience--mostly it was slower and dealing with inventory weight became necessary--but I still really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was fantastic, especially Tower of Latria (World 3). I plan on getting through both Dark Souls games before the third one's release in April.
My parents live right off 83 there in Delafield. I lived there for like a year after college. It was nice to have best buy, target, walmart, gamestip, kohls, and whatever else all crammed in together right there. Made black friday shopping quite simple.
I appreciate the offer, but I am not even sure if that deal will be online or just in store on BF. I do not wish having to deal with BB on BF on anyone. Not to mention dealing with shipping charges as well. The game will eventually get down to my price range. I will just have to wait a while. Thanks though!
Its a lot slower than most twin stick shooters and a lot of people complain about getting stuck on different things like lampposts and bikes in the environment because it is hard to see. Also its hard to see some of the zombies too. Its dark. But thats the point of the game. It makes you nervous and you have to play cautiously. It isnt for everyone but its a well done game with no glitchiness or real gameplay issues other than the aforementioned (which are personal issues and not issues with the development of the game).
