I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Watched Star Wars tonight. Movie was good, but you know Bruticis would hate it! Too many women, aliens, and minorities.

Don't remember the last time I actually played MH and not sure when I'll play it again, but I'm sitting here downloading the 4.5 gb patch before I go to bed so I can maybe get some extra splinters.

Thanks for the post, clearly Dominos saw the Papa Johns Groupon deal and decided to "compete" with it.

But like with everything they do, they cheaped out.

The Groupon deal is $20 for a $25 Papa Johns GC as well as two free large pizzas, $1.20 Ebates monies and however many PJ rewards points.

Only good if you're a weirdo who prefers Dominos to Papa Johns.

Yeah, I bought the Papa Johns deal yesterday as I had company over. Worked like a charm, fed everyone for $20, and still have the leftover freebie pizzas for next time.

I'm no pizza hoarder. :bouncy:

I, myself, am on a break right now too... 1920 hours played will do that to you. (I just login daily to keep my rewards coming.)

Awesome to hear... When I saw them listed I was hoping you would get to snag them. (Also glad you get to tried the game before buying... Its a game, I imagine, that will not be for a big audience and one that one should play before buying. (The beta and watching better player(s) on twitch told me it wasn't for me.)

Probably unless you can get a South American to buy it for you at Nuuvem for ~$5.

The big Steam sale is coming up though and also everyone and their grandma is having a winter/holiday/Kwanzaa/whatever sale now too so I wouldn't necessarily be in a rush to buy it.

Idlemaster working for the rest of you?  Mine was stuck on "Reading badge page, please wait..." all day yesterday - and it's doing the same thing today.

Edit: Nevermind - got it working by logging out/in & toggling a couple settings back and forth.

IMO - It's a damn good game and worth it at that price if anyone is thinking/on the fence about it.

I would have liked to see a little more variety in the setting - but that's a minor gripe on my part.

The nemesis system along with the Captains and Warchief branding ability is as good as the reviews say.

I played through the main game in about 30+ hours (I didn't rush it and often just started fights with hordes of orcs for fun). I still have the 2 DLC campaigns to do - which I definitely will - but needed a break from fantasy settings after starting Mordor up right after Witcher3. Definitely a good bang for your buck though.

(If anyone does buy it don't forget to add the free HD texture upgrade pack to your account on the steam store page)

Mordor GotY edition is an excellent deal as I think at least the Endless Challenge DLC is the best way to have fun with the game rather than actually doing the story.

On a completely unrelated note, did Amazon's $2 credit for having Prime and choosing not to do the 2 day shipping always apply to Digital Video Games? Because I just bought a Steam wallet card and chose the slower shipping and it says it applies to games now too but I could swear in the past it was just a credit for mp3s or some crap.

Also it gave me a code for a free digital copy of Kung Fu Panda. Random, but hey it was free.

You got $2? They usually only offer me $1. This entire year it's been applying to any digital purchase (music, movies, books, or games). Before then I think it usually was just music or movies. Panda movie free with any purchase I think.
 
So Drawn: The Painted Tower is on sale 70% off on Steam for the first time ever. It's a Big Fish game, as in actually published by Big Fish themselves, and they've literally never put it on sale before.

Oh and if you see sale history for it anywhere else it's non-Steam. You have to buy it on Steam if you want it on Steam and Big Fish never ever puts their own published games on sale. Until now anyway.

Probably trying to sweeten the pot and lighten their holiday shipping load.

In "Amazon is being a dick" news, there was an offer for $5 general Amazon credit when you downloaded an app. I did it and got my email for the $5 credit. Later, I bought an app with Amazon Coins and it instead drew the cost against the general credit rather than using the Coins (which are credit themselves) :roll:

And, yeah, I had the toggle selected to use coins but then they force you to do that one-click shit for digital purchases and you never get a chance to verify what's happening before they do it.

I finally got a decent headset for the brofests, just so people can listen to my weird California accent or something. Getting the actual headset, however, is a bit of a weird story.

I visited the local Walmart and figured I'd go check the headset section to see if they still had the one I was looking for. They didn't - almost their entire stock of older Turtle Beach models was wiped out. They replaced them with much cheaper looking models, all they had left were Earforce X12s and Star Wars branded stuff. I picked an X12 up, decided to check the price on a scanner, and it said it was priced at 59.99.

I had my phone thing with me so I decided to check online and see if I could get it for cheaper. I googled it, and the cheapest place that showed up and could be pricematched... was Walmart.com. The headset was worth $34 there. So I went to pay for the headset and tried to get the cashier to pricematch. She said the price was $59.99 and asked me where I got the price. I told her, "Walmart.com". I asked if she was using the Walmart app to check the price and she said she was, so I loaded up the online store using the phone browser, typed the name of the item, and did a search in front of her so she could see the price WAS what I said it was. It took some convincing but she finally agreed to pricematch.

Apparently the Walmart app doesn't look up the website prices, instead it uses your local store's price database. So if your store manager is the kind of jerk that prices games on clearance at full price, they can use that to refuse a price match.

TL;Didn'tMysterD: Don't use the Walmart app to pricematch. Use the website instead.

Keep in mind that ShiftySlug owns it, so it could mean that it's getting bundled soon. Could also mean nothing. Just putting that out there.

I do think its suspicious that they only put that game on sale, and none of the others.. and it's their first discount.

EDIT: Looks like he actually played it in 2011 so probably not getting bundled by Groupees anytime soon at least.

Just pretend this post doesn't exist!

Super fun fact: I got the same Kung Fu Panda deal. Redeemed code, got movie. Then got another $1 MP3/video/whatever credit for "buying" a digital movie. Amazon is so awesome sometimes.

The Walmart app has those stupid tabs at the top that you have to switch between to look at walmart.com or store inventory. You probably had the in my store tab active during the search.

I didn't. The cashier did. I don't have any apps installed on my phone thing except Twitter. :p I just hate this store, they tend to price things higher than other places because they know most people won't check online to do price matches.
