Since I thought the cheap 3DS games thread was a good idea. I thought I would start one for the PS Vita. I will maintain this site a few times a day going forward. Post links up to new deals and I will add them to the OP. Anyhow, here we go:

Because if he's filled up 32GB, filling 64 isn't going to be much more of a challenge, and then he's back where he started and $80 poorer.

That's the really horrible part about the Vita's proprietary memory--not the price, but the fact that there's not going to be any further development for it. 64GB is very likely the largest card we'll ever get for the Vita, and if its life continues much longer, that's going to start feeling restrictive. Imagine if they'd given up on making larger sizes for the Memory Stick Pro Duo after reaching 4GB.

I am very guilty of getting digital games and then getting the physical games of the respective games when they're cheap. Did it with Dragon's Crown, Noire, almost did Criminal girls, likely doing it with Neptunia 2 Rebirth. I like the space Vita games take up and any space saved on the Memory card is always a plus to me.

I'm sure you're not alone. I'm being an ultra patient CAG and slowly waiting for Legend of Legacy to get to $25 and purchase it xonic and lost dimensions Vita (this is $24.13 right now). If I see any raising a few cents I will say waiting done and just pull the trigger.

There is a reason quite a few of their stores closed. The way the shipping is done is pretty archaic and all and i'm not sure how many people here or otherwise use them for new releases of stuff, though if I remember correctly there music selection was decent.

i might as well place a seperate order for each game i want so they cant pocket all the extra shipping fees

these are all most likely going to be cart only without original case im sure

my god their site is terrible, and they require uppercase, special character and numeric character for password, wow come on lol

They ship stuff from stores so a lot of times it's one item Per package. That's why they charge shipping per item. If you don't like it then don't buy. More deals for the rest of us.
 
NepNep is holding fast at $11.31, but Xonic continues the slow crawl down.

Anyone ever have trouble using Paypal on GoHastings? I could've sworn my order went through this morning, but there's no sign of it in my Paypal summary. Luckily everything I wanted was still in stock.

Xonic is down to $24.77. Maybe I'll get my $20 deal afterall. Some other stuff I was watching spiked up... but Xonic still is moving so resist!

idk if you ever in the AWD thread but if you are as past history shows anytime Eldritch internet goes out or goes to store all day or he buys something expect that item to always either go down in price or glitch out completely in a crazy rare ultra deal.

the comment above is proof of this as the game is still falling in price that was originally unexpected lol

Me too! Whatever I wind up buying it for it will be $10 less pretty shortly after. See my purchases of anything Neptunia related or Operation Abyss as examples.

Question for people who bought the VITA new... does it come with a plastic thing on the screen or just wrapped in a styrofoam-like bag?

I just bought one from Ratuken and it was suppose to be new, but it looks like it's been opened before...

 
Decided to go ahead and price match Corpse Party at Best Buy and use the $15 off $15+ using Chase Freedom and Visa Checkout offer. I think they may have messed up the price match because she said I would receive a credit for $16.03. If that's the case I'll basically get it for the $10 cert I used.

Exactly the same for me including the $5 promo. I almost used it on Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters but didn't and it ended up shooting back up :( Hopefully Lost Dimension makes it to the $20's.

My Aqua Blue Vita from GS, which I got just last week, did not have any kind of "plastic thing" on the screen, and yes it was in a "styrofoam-like bag" just like yours. It appeared to be brand new and sealed, and works fine.

Was your console sealed with a round sticker before you opened it? Mine was.

I just barely decided to go with the :vita: version too. I was going to get it on :ps3: when it was $20.3x but forgot then it jumped up. Probably better off now since I can play it on the Vita and on TV since it's PS tv compatible.

There were TWO round stickers which is what made me concerned that this was a returned unit. Would Sony put two stickers? Any other way I can tell?

This is the seller's feedback. It sounds like they dont respond to emails anyway? Should I contact paypal for a return?

Look at unboxing on youtube to see if there's supposed to be two. I've bought 3 new Vitas, 1 phat and 2 slims but honestly can't remember how many stickers were on it.

Also, the outside box is normal but the inside box is compeltely white... it doesn't say PS VITA like this unboxing video...

My vita box was plain white as well.

It sounds like you're just fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah thanks for the idea, I watched three videos and its never close enough to show the stickers... The other side only has 1 sticker so that's what disturbed me.... the main box opening had two stickers, slightly mismatched... but I assume if this was a returned one, it would be unlikely that the seller would have the same stickers that SONY uses...

Anyone here still have their VITA SLIM box? Can you check to see how many stickers on the main opening?

I was way late to the party on the gohastings sale, everything I would have gotten is sold out. I'm a CIB stickler though, and I have a feeling alot of this stuff would ship as game only.

with Hastings is ymmv I have gotten game only, new, case but missing manual to recieveing right case and manual but wrong game inside from them so it hit or miss

The only times I have received something that was not complete was with previously viewed stuff. Typically games/cd/blu-rays come complete.

 
Hey guys, since the news is a bit slow, can I ask a few questions about the Vita I'm unsure of? I tried googling some of these but I get mixed results.

When you guys change a game or a memory card, do you turn off the Vita or put it to sleep or just leave it on?

Is it bad to put the Vita to sleep for long periods of time? Is turning off regularly the way to go?

If the Vita runs out of battery while your playing the game, when you charge it back, is all the progress lost or does it continue from where you left off?

Do you guys charge at 0%, 5%, 50%? Or just anytime?

How exactly does the near thing work? Does it tell who around me is playing, or do I have to walk around and find if other Vitas are near by? But what if it's only on Wifi, how does it detect other Vitas without Wifi on?

If you are looking for a copy of vesperia theirs are new converted to used. Me and another user here at least both got one a few years back. They are 4.75 this year which is even cheaper than last time (around 11-12$) Go hastings is weird but I haven't gotten anything without a case yet. I've even ordered acceptable from them and ended up with a like new item.

I turn my Vita off to switch out the memory card.

Sleep mode is fine. I do a full shut down once a week or so is all.

If the system looses power while playing a game you will lose all unsaved data from the game you were playing.

Usually charge whenever I notice the status is well below 50%.

No idea, have never used the Near feature.
