I don't know if any of you stuck with The Leftovers, but season 2 was damn good.  It was way better than the first season, and I'm excited to see what they'll do for season 3.

It's made me want to watch Lost again, but I don't know if I can do that to myself again.

Was going to try to finish off Lost Dimension but got sucked into a Thin Man marathon.

I stuck with it and I agree on everything in the post except Lost. I would never spend more time on that show.

I finished The Stick of Truth. Fun/funny game. I fucked up, though. I didn't know about the trophy for not finishing any battles with a friend knocked out, so I'll have to run through it again for the plat.

worth it just for more jokes, i did a 2nd run as the jew just for the craziness of it all. so stoked about it getting a sequel. hypeee

Ended up getting some pizza at bar.  And some awesome red velvet donuts afterwords.  Tried some craft moonshine (whatever the fuck that means) and it was delicious.

It was a good decision going out, kissed this super hot blonde chick.  Or that's what I'm going to say to myself since I didn't have my glasses.

Just finished S1 of Amazon's The Man in the High Castle. It's set in an alternate 1960s in which the Axis defeated the Allies in WW2 and the US is split in two with the Japanese controlling the West coast and the Nazi's controlling the East Coast. It's really good with great characterization, you should check it out if you have Prime.
I quite enjoyed the book (by Phillip K Dick)

I think I've seen him before in Paul's streams.

I was telling my friend about my dog earlier. She's been through breast cancer so I thought she'd be more empathetic. Instead she responded "Good news! My friend's dog just had a litter if you want a new dog." I could've slapped that mother fucker! Whenever she does pass, whether it's soon or in many years, it'll be awhile before I even think about replacing her. I'll be mourning for a bit. Geez.

They were out of Rumchata. I forgot about that. That's what I was gonna mix in the chocolate. Dammit.
Tell your friend "Hey, my cousin just turned 18 so don't worry about your husband. I'll introduce the two of them. Do you want to meet her first?"

The Philip K. Dick stuff I've seen definitely shows the age of its source. I haven't seen all of his movies, but the ones I've seen are very male-dominated; Blade Runner, Next, Total Recall, Minority Report, and Adjustment Bureau. The women are very passive and just get carried along with whatever decisions the main character makes. Blade Runner even has Harrison Ford getting all rapey to kind of drive that point home.

I'll watch Man in the High Castle--probably start it this weekend since I've got a Prime trial right now--but I'm curious to see if it'll have that same approach to gender portrayal.

I didn't even play any games tonight. Cell asleep watching football.
Same here. Wife and daughter decided to have one of their girls nights and watch Disney movies in our bedroom. The boy wanted to hangout with me in the den and watch the Alabama game. I kept waiting for him to fall asleep, and then I was going to play something, but the little sucker stayed up for almost the whole game. I fell asleep sometime before the last Alabama TD.

LOL you guys act like Lost was a bad show.

I just wish I liked the ending better. The opening scene of the second season still is probably my favorite bit of TV ever. That blew my mind.
Pretty much the same as pitfall. I enjoyed it when it was on. After that ending, I see no point in ever watching it again. Then again, I rarely ever watch anything more than once anyway. The Wire is the only TV show I can think of that I have watched twice.

I think I'm in to diablo 3. I'm sure everyone else on earth has played a diablo game but this is my first one. I know some other folks got it on bf, we should go questing or whatever.

Yeah, I'm down for Diablo 3, picked it up again as well. I think I've got an end game monk from the first time around, and I can make a new character too.

I was thinking the other day that I wish I could go back and watch The Shield for the first time again. I love that show.
I need to go back and finish that. I think I finished the first two seasons. The episode where the detective had the suspect in interrogation all day and the suspect just verbally abused him the whole time was fantastic.

I loved Lost, and honestly I'm surprised that you haven't watched The Leftovers since you love Lost and Lindelof is the co-creator.

I hated the ending, though. I remember it ending the same time as BSG, and they both copped out at the end in strikingly similar and disappointing fashions.

It gets so much better. Wait til Forest Whitaker shows up.

I just don't feel like paying for HBO or HBO Now to watch one show. Plus with the next season being its last, I can wait until they're all in an easy to grab set and watch them at once. Or they'll also be on Amazon Prime in a few years.

I've got The Leftovers on my to-watch list.

The only show I've seen since Lost that sort of gave me that "feel" was Revolution. Still nowhere close, though.

Bingo was a bust last night in terms of winning, but I did get to hear the old lady number announcer repeatedly say "boooooooner" and "double nipple!"
