I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Which is more likely to result in diarrhea: $7 spent on Poopees bundle or $7 worth of Taco Bell?
$7 worth of Taco Bell will more likely result in diarrhea. But it's within the natural order of things

But $7 spent on a Groupees Bundle? That means you're a degenerate buying waifu incest porn. There's something fundamentally not-right and disturbing about you.

I played Dragon's Dogma on 360 when it came out and I played for a few hours and got bored and never went back. Combat is pretty poopy in that game. Did they update the combat on pc?

I hate the slots. That's just throwing money away. If I go to the casino I play black Jack. I play fan duel every night during basketball season so that's how I scratch my itch. No casinos in Georgia that I know of.

Let's face it, we have two different kinds of CAG, the silent majority who buys games to play and is here to find the best deal, and the vocal hoarders/ collectors who get more out of the deal hunt than playing games.

I'm one of those who gets more out of the hunt even if I've been trying to fight my hoarder tendencies. The entertainment/challenge for me here is to gamble and then see how much of my money I can get back. It'll keep me more entertained than if I would have just bought BO3, installed it, and then rage quit after getting tired of being sniped in MP.
Georgia has the best kind of casino...RIVERBOAT CASINOS!

(this is totally a legit pic from a totally legit casino, I got it from GMG and they said they got it from an authorised photographer.)

You're knockin' DD's gameplay for being boring whilst sporting a Fallout avatar?

you gotta be kidding me. Dragon Dogma: Dark Risen's combat is magnificent. You climb on top of a griffon, hang on to its back as it soars across the sky and stab it repeatedly. Way better than Skyrim or Witcher or Kingdom Amalur

I enjoyed it immensely back in my console days

No one plays Witcher games for the combat. It's sex on the back of mythological animals and playing tavern games for hundreds of hours.

dragons dogma is okay. the problem with it is that the combat is just about the only thing it does well at all, along with the art design of the monsters. story telling sucks. characters are empty shells. world is generic as you can possibly ask for. soundtrack is meh. outside of larger monster design the art style/world as a whole is kind of boring visually. it's a decent game that does some different things but nothing great.

You guys want to talk gambling? I spent $30 on 3 hot dogs at monster jam today. That's the kind of gamble you don't realize you lost until you are halfway into your 15 mile run the next day.

I liked Dragon's Dogma and yes I am non ironically excited for the PC version and pre-ordered it (from a semi-sketchy kraut site at a 33% discount but still).

Anyhow, I think the combat is actually pretty interesting and this from somebody who's pretty meh on combat usually.

The world is a bit generic but it's a sandbox game so eh. It's not supposed to be some masterpiece of storytelling but rather a wander around and find shit to do and kill etc. The Pawn system was a nice way to add some sort of interactive element with other players without having to directly interact with people. It's my kind of multiplayer. The multiplayer where you don't have to play with people. :p

I always meant to finish that game or play it more at least but I really suck at being a console person and every time I try to force myself to play games in front of the big ass TV in the living room I'd just rather play them on the PC instead. or go on message boards and surf the web on my PC while I tell myself I'll get to gaming eventually but never do, but that's a whole nother issue.

Care to share that site...?

psst, pm me
Wondering this as well. I've been tempted to use my birthday voucher on GMG which is 27% off. I guess I should just go with GMG since they're probably slightly more legit, but who the fuck knows what's legit these days.

What's legit = sites that have overpriced "deals"; major digital retailers (like Amazon, Steam); and especially digital sites from the USA .

While you guys were discussing my gambling addiction, I played and finished Never Alone today.  Definitely worth the $4ish I paid for it.  Need to do the Foxtales DLC tomorrow to truly finish it.  Great story, art, gameplay.  You'll love it if you loved Limbo, Papo Y Yo, and Brothers A Tale of Two Sons.  If you hated those games you'll hate this too.  I think I got at least $1000 worth of entertainment out of it so that more than covers any GMG Gambling losses.  Probably coming to a Humble Monthly near you.  This is the type of game that I wish I had just fakeybro'd when it released last year though.

Cracked shit is like DRM free shit. Ewww.gif

Steam of GTFO (or I'll take Origin or Uplay don't kill me)

Anyhow, the site I got DD from at $20 was Gamesrocket and I posted about it at the time when I got it, but now they are more like $22, which is also what Greenman and Funstock are selling it for right now. You know, all this We're legitimately authorised *fingers crossed behind back* sites sell it for.

*Edit: I guess the Funstock sale from a few days ago is over and Greenman is about $24 because there's no discount save for the standard 20% off coupon, unless you have the elusive 'you haven't bought shit from us in forever so we're rewarding that by giving you 27% off' vouchers.

DLGamer, whoever the the hell they are, has it for $22.79.

Wednesday's headline -

"Man wins $1.3 billion Powerball. Spends it all on gmg mystery bundles. Gets nothing but trash. Is not surprised."

amirite?

Looks like Dragon's Dogma got cracked by pirates already lol. People who paid for it must be mad that capcom don't unlock it till friday.
Id rather pay than illegally download it tbh. Also, a sequel is based upon its success on this PC release.

And the online pawns are a huge draw to the game; without them it's meh.

Hey Fox, here's something you might want to spend your non-Fallout 4 money on:
But who the hell here buys games from Steam anymore, after their last 2 boring & horrible sales (Thanksgiving 2015 + XMas 2015)?!?

25PERC-2016GM-WTHGMG

25% off for Dragon's Dogma on GMG.

Okay, so we covered DRM so far this morning. What about Red Dead Redemption and that time The Secret World was $5 on GMG Dying Light was $20 on Indie Gala with free Call of Juarez Gunslinger, Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year and Bedlam?

Oh, okay good to know. I feel like I have a hard time finding vouchers for GMG these days besides the obvious ones posted on their main page because no one posts about it here anymore due to lack of interest and no one posts about it on Reddit due to not being allowed to. :p

This voucher is better:

DLGamer has a list of "authorized retailer" publishers and I first heard of them via some Ubisoft list of authorized sellers. On the other hand, they were the lowest price on Cities: Skylines this winter and Paradox is NOT on the list so I assume they're not immune to a little shade, GMG style.

Yeah those guys and GMG and Funstock aren't like totally back alley out of an overcoat shady, they're just the corner Asian bodega market that sells milk and colt 45 and then occasionally lets people exchange their food stamps for cash at 50% of the value shady.

I'm sure I've heard such proclamations many times before.
Meh. More often than not, it's probably just profit incentive.
If major game makers could get a 3 month window going before stuff started getting pirated, they'd probably be fine with that, but still putting in a token effort to getting it stopped because they have to protect their copyrights.

I lost a tenner to Betfair on a couple of four-fold NFL wildcard bets last night, both bets were ruined after approximately 11 seconds.

They were still better value than Fox's bundles of garbage.

:whee:

Any recommendations on a new hard drive for Steam/Uplay/Origin games? Looking for 4TB or so.  What do you guys use/recommend?
