PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I think the straw that broke the camel's back for me with it was I did this long quest involving multiple dungeon fights ending in a big boss fight...and then 2 minutes later as I was walking toward the exit at 90% health I literally just dropped dead. No poisons, no stepping on a mine or something, just dead. And of course I hadn't saved after the boss fight so I had to redo the whole damn dungeon again. fuck that.
Yeah I understand not wanting to do all that over. I don't recall any weird glitches like that when I played it though.

How're you liking Banner Saga, btw?
I've only put an hour into it so far, so too early to say too much. The art direction is obviously really awesome. I'm a noob at this srpg combat (Xcom is the only game like this that I've really gotten into) so I'm still figuring it out. I suspect I'll really like it once I do. I saw Cainiac say earlier that the combat is too simplistic, which is probably a pro for someone like me and a con for others.

My brother-in-law is getting an MRI today. It was about 5 years ago he had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in his brain. Last month he had a seizure and we are all worried the MRI is going to show that the cancer has returned. Thoughts and prayers and such. He's a great guy and doesn't deserve this shit. He's younger than me too. 45. Married with two boys.
I hope he hears some good news after the test. MRI are a pain but are amazing on what they can detect. I have to get a MRI in April on my neck to see if the mass in my spinal cord has grown. Most people hate the noise from the machine but I usually take a nap til the 1 hour test is done.

I wish the best for your BIL and his family.

Sending you some PMA Chewy!

I've never eaten there. Is this your first time or have you tried it before?
Eat there at least 3-4 times a month.

Best hot dog in nashville. Group of us ate at the top 3 from the nashville scene rankings, in the same week back to back.

I dream of weenie was far above the others.

I really like cori doghouse too.

And now it jumped up to $15.15. Better hurry, Therm.
Still got it at $14.89, I guess because my cart was still live. Yay. I ended up grabbing Mad Max because you guys have convinced me to try it. I'll probably play it right away so I can flip it back for as much as possible--I'd actually planned on holding off purchasing it for a while, but whatever.

Hopefully Sword Art Online will improve soon. Made it past the 1st floor. The quests are dull and pointless and it really doesn't feel like I have any control over the combat. I'm just button mashing and using skills don't seem to have any discernible effect.

(So why am I playing it?)

Speaking of Portal 2, does no one else here need a Steam code for it? If not, I can give it out elsewhere.

FYI, I forgot to bring it to work with me, so I wouldn't be able to PM the code until 5:30pm-ish EST.
I can't remember if it or Portal 1 were free on steam, I know I already have it for PC.

Is it Which Wich that people are always raving about in here? It was just announced one is going to be opening about a mile from where I live.

But doesn't she have a PS3 hooked up to a TV? Otherwise, how can she play it online? Why not play over there? Or is there a similar issue on that end?

EDIT: Zimm'd sort of

She already has a PS3. In the house she lives in with her estranged husband. Hence the need for online co-op.

Everything I've heard is that it's very MMO-like with the attacks constantly on a timer. I've not played it yet but I kind of regret grabbing it due to the shit they pulled with the translation and the recognition that I prefer games of that type to be more visceral in their combat style. I'll get to it eventually, though.

Nah I really thought it was Diablo-esque. Irregardless, I'll probably play that next.
I also need to get to that. Something about it's always been very appealing. Actually I also need to play Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom as well, which is another 3rd person fantasy action I've been wanting to get to for a while.

Finding an eyelash in your food? Worse than, equal to, or not as bad as finding a head hair in it?

Thought I mentioned that before. Otherwise, oops?
Nope. You could always rent a hotel and bring the PS3 for bed coop before/after the sex.

Nevermind. Save the money for a PS4. Then you can rent the hotel and do those things while playing on a better system.

We use to have an older couple down the street. The husband died and that just left the wife there. But later we found out she wasn't his wife any more - they were actually divorced a long time ago. They not only continued to live together for many, many years, but the former husband brought in a girlfriend who lived there with him, in the house with her. We never saw this woman, or at least didn't realize she was the man's girlfriend. Is this Zimm's future?

BTW speaking of 80s movies, St. Elmo's Fire was in that list. Everything about it sounds absolutely terrible (though the song is great.) It is terrible, right? Nothing I need to watch at some point?

Speaking of co-op, can y'all remember/recommend any good online co-op titles we got via Plus I can play with the lady once we're done with Portal?

Ibb & Obb came to mind, but I remember Tyler & munky (maybe?) complaining about it when they tried it. The month with Dungeon Defenders and Darksiders was my first.
Don't know how long you've been plus, Simpson's Arcade, Lara Croft and Guardian of Light, Borderlands 1/2, Dragon's Crown.

What about some awesome beat em ups like Streets of Rage 2? Right, Mild? Or maybe that was before he subscribed.

The Lara Croft isometric games are awesome. I'm down for playing those again.

Toki Tori 2+ is releasing 2/23 on PS4 both digitally and physically (?!): http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/01/14/why-we-added-telepathic-frogs-to-toki-tori-2-on-ps4-coming-223/

About
Toki Tori 2+ is a Metroidvania style puzzle adventure. There are no tutorials, there’s no hand-holding, no-one tells you what to do in Toki Tori 2+. The fun is in exploring and overcoming the obstacles of the lush forest island on your own merit.

Our unlikely yellow hero may be the star of the show, but he won’t get anywhere without the creatures he meets along the way. Armed with just the Whistle and Stomp moves, he can influence and make use of these strange creatures’ unique abilities.

But what’s up with that black goo? It’s threatening your home world! Your goal is to get to the core of the corruption and save the island!

Key Features

  • Explore a beautiful, Metroidvania style open world.
  • Discover how to interact with the creatures in your environment.
  • Follow the path, or stray off-road and tackle the expert puzzles.
  • Use the in-game camera and snap photos of creatures for the Tokidex.\

She always pays for the hotels anyways.

No. Just no.

There's a couple here at work that are both still married and both still live with their spouses, just as pretty much roommates. They all know about each other and don't give a shit. Pretty wild.

When did Guardian of Light hit plus? Nvm I checked the store and I don't have it. Must have been before my time. Don't have Simpsons arcade either, but I do have Scott Pilgrim with the online DLC, so that might work. Also have both Borderlands, but not sure if she'd be into that. Dragon's crown might also be a good choice. Thanks!

I haven't played much of the sequel, but I have it. I'd be up for coop-ing it.
