This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

First two are better coaster builders. Third is a better park management tycoon game (although it does have the first-person coaster camera), and probably the best game in the vast tycoon genre in my opinion. I still play 3 occasionally, but mostly just to run the custom scenarios instead of dumping dozens of hours into sandbox mode. If you just want to make death coasters, stick with 2.

Looks like it was $10 then as well. Game w/ Season Pass is $17.99 and $8 is as cheap as I've seen the SP (I think it was that price at GMG before with voucher) -- it's $10.19 by itself. SP doesn't add a ton of content (one short 'Kill Hitler' mission, a three mission mini-campaign and a bunch of guns).

You can get the openrct opensource add-on for rct2:

Basically brings it up to more modern usage with window/full at 1920, all sorts of extras added and easy access to downloadable add-on content

Maybe it's good but my first impression is that 800x600 max original resolution + sprites + high res = a hot mess of tiny things.

We definitely would welcome more people making events. Sometimes Spoder and I run out of ideas.

And also, I think Vooyah might have gotten it confused with KF1? Does he own that?

There was stock at all the stores remotely near me and I suspect probably near most people early this morning but it hit Slick Deals and Reddit so...

Back in the days right out of college, when being on the internet meant no phone calls and you had to fap to 20 sec clips, I played a metric fuck-tonne of the original RCT. The scenarios themselves are pretty fun, and the sandbox mode provides ultimate freedom. One of my favorite additions to parks was the "rollerbus". Instead of a train to get from point-to-point in a park, make a multi-station rollercoaster instead.

The only reason I didnt play RCT 2 was my comp was too shitty to run it. I now own all 3 but have never (re)-installed them on my modern PCs. I should do that.

(I should admit, I'm biased as I'm 100% coaster-nerd IRL. My coaster count is well over 400 different coasters.)

You got me curious when this was because even back in the 386 2400 baud days you could get some ASCII porn way longer than 20 seconds...

I will say, I found a "stash" of my old disks the other day so going through them I went to see what was on them... I couldn't even tell what some of them were because the resolution was so low and blocky.. but even those were longer than 20 second clips.

Spent a lot of time on RCT but I was always killing people on purpose or not letting them leave... fun times.

Hitlercat's mom is the champ at pocket rocket league.

Also, I don't get the big deal about the Dying Light price. It is cheap, but it's not like it's the cheapest price by a whole lot and it was sitting at $15 for a while too so I'm surprised the extra $3 made such a big difference.

B/c it's a retail box + it hasn't been this cheap when it's been solo in the USA period.

Only time it's really been this cheap would be the IndieGala deal on X-Mas, when the deal was: Dying Light, Bedlam, CoJ (original) & SoM GOTY for around $21 altogether.

It's the lowest price it's been so I guess that's something. I don't know why the Reddit/SD people flipped out but I guess Redditos gotta reddit or something. MysterD's weird bundle aside, I was happier to get it with Season Pass for $18 from Sao Paulo since I already own Shadow of Mordor and Call of Juarez (who doesn't own that?)

It was mostly the console people going on about it oddly enough. And most of them have Gamer Club Unlocked so that brings it down under $10.

Yeah. It was $9. I fakeybroed preordered it for $20 and bout the Season Pass for $9 from Nuuvem. I think they have since raised the price of the season pass to $29.99 from $19.99.

I never seem to have any of the games that are being played most of the time. The few times I have showed up though no one else has. The group seems like it has a lot of members so I don't know if its just bad timing or if there is a super secret bro group I'm missing out on. It's nice to see Dirt Rally as an event, I wouldn't mind more racing games scheduled.

Which ones did you show up to? I'd say that people almost always show up to the tuesday/thursday events. The other ones can be a crapshoot though.

 
Just to clarify: When I asked Foxy about joining the bro events it was the day that ya'll were going to play KF2. I didn't mean to imply that I owned KF2, I just wanted to know if someone with my lack of skills would be able to join in. 2 things have kept me from joining so far: Lack of any of the games scheduled so far, and gainful employment. I have to be up for work Mon-Fri at 4:30am everyday (but at least I have my own office and can get away with browsing CAG from time to time at work!) . So i'll be more apt to join up on a Friday or Saturday evening, when ya'll play something I have or something I am willing to buy to join up with ya'll. I am a CAG bastage though. I'll rarely spend more than $20 on a game.

Have you actually played it? Cos that sounds like a brief summary of some of the negative reviews.

The controls are fine, but there are a lot of really good players already that are hard to play against.

Yes, the presentation is basic ... but it's a free game ... soooooo ...

There's more than one server, there's a number worldwide. Not saying I haven't experienced some lag but it's occasional, not constant.

i did play it, look under my account.

it don't want to sound arroagant. there is not one free to play game on steam i have not tried, aside from the visual novels and VR games
