Haven't purchased yet, but going to shortly. At worst i'll break even with the Steam trading cards and have +7 to boot.
I bet you dont break even, most of those cards will get you about .02 a transaction

edit - unless you get foils, then maybe .05-.07 a transaction

Just skip it, you'll regret it when they're all free again.

EDIT: Well shit, apparently a lot of them are still free.

A +7 of shit games that you'll likely never play?

Its one thing to pick up +'s when they're free or in a bundle, its another when you're buying them like this.

I don't understand why people are paying $30 for a game that's 3 years old. Isn't that anti-CAG? Or is this Dogma game seriously the best game ever?
They aren't. Well, madjoki did but he paid with steam wallet.. Everyone's paying $20-$22. I got it for $20 from some turky seller on steamtrades

It's a fun game that plenty didn't play.

Also, I think some believe that Capcom might make a proper sequel if this version does well.

Cuz Capcom is known for their super smart decision making skillz.

I got DD because I like it and actually will play it and have been. I only paid $20 so that was worth it to me.

GTA V was pretty moldy when it made it to PC and people pay $30-$60 for that.

Have you played it enough to form an opinion yet?
Not really. I played the prologue and the chimera fight was pretty cool, climbing on the monster and all that. Killing goblins was, you know, killing goblins. They go down too fast to have an opinion about it. It feels like it should really be played with a controller though I was on M+KB last night. Visuals were nice enough for a last-gen port. I haven't left the intro village yet so my impressions are very limited. Still, it was fun and I'll be playing more tonight.

I bought it because people seemed to be positively inclined towards it, it was a fairly cheap "new" game (even MSRP being $30 instead of $60) and it seemed like the sort of game I could put down and come back to later when stuff like Rise of the Tomb Raider comes out since it sounds like a "Wander around and kill shit & do quests" game rather than a big overarching cinematic experience I'd want to complete.

Edit: Also it helps that Motoki recommended it since I assume it won't be some 2Hardcore4U Dark Souls style game. I'm too old to have the twitch reflexes or time to die 30x over to the Skeleton Demon Lord until I luck into getting it right.

To change the topic of conversation for just a moment, Darkest Dungeon emerges from Early Access tomorrow. It's one of those EA titles that I bought a while back as I Had To Have It, but I've since held off until it was feature complete.

Guild of Dungeoneering has been a nice distraction for the last few weeks, but really it's just DD-lite.

Excited? Yes. Until I wipe on my first dungeon (again).

Dig it out of your backlog, fakeys.

:whee:
Darkest Dungeon is VERY PLAYABLE even with its EA status. Not sure why you have to hold off playing it if you own it. I put 40 hours into it and was very pleased with the game and unique concept

GoD on the other hand.. well.. seem like a mobile game. Not a bad mobile game but it's too simplistic for me. The art direction is too bright that it breaks immersion for me

If you buy an nvidia card from best buy make sure you get your tomb raider key.  Didn't get one, emailed customer service and they sent me one a few hours later.  The new nvidia redemption system also directly redeems Rise of the Tomb Raider into your steam account (you have to log into steam through it), pretty nice although not great if you want to gift the game to someone else.

Almost all ready for Rift CV1 now, and I even got Paradise Lost as part of todays indie gala bundle.

On a note of the Division, it's a fun game, at least from a beta standpoint.  My issue is not with the overall game play and such (besides the bulletsponge bosses)...it's the fact that they demo'd early on certain areas of the map, like Brooklyn.  Now they say they aren't even including it in the base game.  In fact they are making the map MUCH smaller than they initially stated; probably will cancel my preorder.

https://division.zone/2016/01/16/tom-clancys-the-division-will-not-include-brooklyn-queens-bronx-and-staten-island-final-map-size-revealed/

I bet the areas which aren't included are already done but will be released later as $60 DLC -.-

Assholes.

but it probably legitimately does annoy some CAGs viewing the thread. Like Motoki said, it's obnoxious.. I don't think anyone's denying that.
I think that part of the appeal for some people posting it. At this point its just feeding on its own momentum.

Hell we blew 2-3 pages when fox lost his mind for $50 on mystery bundles

Showing as $32.85 to me.  Also will point out you had at least 3 or 4 'y u no derp do mountain dew' type posts in between my last two pricing updates, Sir Spamalot.

lets not forget the hidden cost of buying physical PC games

1.0 out of 5 starsBethesda Fail for PC users

I bought the PC game disc since I am on metered internet. I get the game in this afternoon only to find out that the disc only contains about 5GB of the 24GB game. It would cost me an additional $150 to increase my data plan enough to download the rest of the game and play it. This is a huge fail on Bethesda's part. I wish companies would realize that not everyone has huge data allowances. Console versions of the game were shipped on Blu-Ray discs but they decided to ship not even a quarter of the game on a DVD for PC users.

Its possible... Its a 40 dollar season pass WHEN bought in the gold edition so its likely 50 or more as that's pretty much the norm. (Some saving when bundled.) I guess 2nd seasons on DLC is starting to happen also... Hopefully, its not that.

Its also possible that that trailer wasn't really the game play from the very beginning... Obviously, not to say Aliens: CM level of a lie... but Ubisoft hasn't been the most honest at E3 of late.

Lastly, I guess its possible this wasn't the plan... This generation of console isn't as powerful as some developers hoped... Could be a bigger map with no load screens was simply too much.

Anyhow, if the game is entertaining, has a significant length of time in it (gearing up and whatnot) which is fun without being overly grindy I'm not too concerned with map size. (Its still like 7 square miles or so.)

Stop the presses!  It looks like Black Ops 3 has also joined the Amazon gumball price drop plan.  Now we can post prices for BOTH!

Be sure to put prices in individual posts so no one misses the updates.  I'm on the edge of my seat over here.

Yeah but no one wants that crappy game.

I get wanting to have a physical box in stores for visibility, but why even spend the time/effort to press a disc without the whole game? It'd be better to just put a code in the box and save the plastic. I mean, what do they even put on the disc? Can you even play a little bit without internet? Like how some of the console games let you play while it's still downloading.

Well, that was anticlimactic...

In other news anyone want to tweet Gabe or Valve and remind them they did weekly sales at one point... Weeklys aren't just sad. There pointless.

Humble Bundle at the top of the hour, right?
Main Humbles are on Tuesday. Monday is... I dunno book bundles or something?

Yea, I liked what I played alot; although that was on console. I hope the PC version is better. inb4 UBISOFT ;D

You're doing it wrong. You're supposed to add it to cart and check the price that way. What kind of spammer are you?!
Odd, just updated the 8 cents on the product page. Why would the price be different in the cart? N-e-wayz, I think $20ish is about as high as I'd go on a vanilla copy.
