Hand of Fate does look sweet though. I just bought it for $6 on Monday though so I'm glad it's not free on Plus yet.

Gears is funny because everyone who bought Gears Ultimate also got all the old Gears games for free anyway.

I'll probably play Lemmings Touch for a few levels until I get frustrated and stuck.

Helldivers looks like fun. 

I already bought Nova-111 from a previous sale but haven't touched it yet.

 
Helldivers was on my Vita want list, so I guess it's true if you wait long enough it will come to Plus every time. Lol. 

Street Fighter V is getting a Steelbook version in the UK. I want a Steelbook version. Not cool.

And even though the other top teams based on this stat alone all lost the SB I would guess that all of them were underdogs going into the game anyway.  And none of them had near the defense that Carolina has.  Carolina is going to beat Peyton like a drum.

Starting next month I'm going to try tackling 1 open-world and 1 jRPG a month, with Gravity Rush and Ni no Kuni starting it off. Dunno if it'll work out but I have too many of both types of games and I keep putting them off because they're always so long.  :wall:

Basically, I just need Tyler to say Panthers are going to win. Historically that has been the kiss of death for any team Tyler has tried to prognosticate for.
 
Hand of fate is ok. Not quite what I expected. It's got a good premise. It's just a little clunky in the combat/obstacle course bits. Haven't played anything like it, so at least the gameplay is fresh. Wouldn't really call it a card game though. More of a board game feel to it.

There's some good stuff in there, and the only good DLC missing from the disc would be the all terrain boots, but if the whole team isn't using them you might as well pick another perk so it's not critical. Switching among all of the weapons and stratagems helps keep the game fresh but some of the highest tiered stuff comes with the base game.

Only bad part about having all of that DLC content unlocked at the start is you lose some of that sense of progression that comes from unlocking gear and that progression works well at providing the learning curve of the game.

I'll likely hang on to my disc copy just for the DLC but I probably should sell the PS3/Vita code since I know I'll never play it on those systems. I got a good amount of play out of it either way. It's the only Black Friday purchase that I put any time into.

There needs to me more digital board games out there. Especially new original ones. I mean, Anticpation on the NES was the shit, and I guess kinda sorta Mario Party, but what else has there really been?

 
Only game that interests me this month is Persona Arena but since I never hook my PS3 up it looks like this is a good month to play some of these untouched games. If people get into Helldivers I might play a little bit of that.

It's very difficult for me to figure out what exactly they fucked up recently that they haven't fucked up in the past. I've always played against red bars as I'm sure everyone else has. The elite players recently have complained about skill based match making as opposed to the connection based, and this awful awful terrible situation they find themselves in called "sweats" where they have to face tough enemies in the crucible every match now.

Well welcome to my entire year and a half of playing PvP against these elites. Every match is a sweat match for me but at least it's been more competitive with skill based match making. Bungie caved and said they will be doing connection based again but I never trust anything Bungie says. Destiny may be dying a slow death but I find it difficult to believe it's because of anything that has happened recently.

I learned my lesson from the last GRID game on Plus. I will be staying way away from that one. I might give Lemmings a go since I have liked other versions of that game. That is about the only thing that interests me I havent played.

 
Zimm, what was that PS4 deal you mentioned recently?  Is it still going on.  My best friend's daughter is looking to buy and was just going to go to Gamestop.

I assume you didnt like Grid because its more sim than arcade? And it probably has some very time consuming/boring trophy?

Also, I think Mild said Lemmings is touch only and a bitch to play. I was interested in it until I heard that. No thanks.

Yea, the sweats are a big issue apparently and what I was talking about. I aint played in months, prolly close to 6 months or more now, but that change and lack of new content has everyone up in arms apparently from what little I looked into it.

 
Okay, tell me how shitty this is....

Our furnace went out last night right before I went to work.  My wife freaks out and messages everyone on FB and her sister-in-law's brother-in-law is a heating/air guy and he says he can look at it the next day if we want.  When I get home I take a closer look at it and I see that the ignitor is cracked.  No big deal... I tell my wife to message him and tell him thanks but I can take care of it.  I run to the hardware appliance store and pick one up for $40.  Now I already know that if I didn't need it right away I could order one off amazon for $15 shipped, but of course I want my heat back now... it's 30 fucking degrees over here.

So on my way home my wife calls me and tells me that she talked to him and that he said he actually has the part we need and he'll sell it to us because yada yada yada we'll probably have a hard time finding it.  I tell her I've already got it but I don't mention the price yet.  Then she goes on about how he would sell it to us for ONLY $50 and that normally he charges people $200 to install it but that for us he is willing to install it for the super low price of only $100.  WTF!!!  I get home unscrew a few screws, plug it in and 2 minutes later....

So not only was he going to mark up the ignitor on us but he was also going to charge us $50 for literally a few minutes of work... now is this guy or is he not a complete douche?  This isn't just some family acquaintance... we see him regularly at family gatherings.  And what pisses me off even more about it is that we gave his family.... GAVE THEM.... several pieces of furniture for free when we got new bedroom furniture.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to call him up and tell him that I had sex with my wife on the dresser that is currently housed in his daughter's bedroom.

What was that game that was 1 of three we were voting on to be a PSPlus game? The Zombie game ended up winning, but there was a game that was a board or card type game.

Also, once an AC guy, always an AC guy apparently. They all seem to want to rip you off no matter what.

I remember having my AC go out late at night and not being able to get anyone to come over except one redneck that ran his own company. he was the nicest and only AC guy I know that was honest. He charged me a reasonable price for a capacitor that went bad. I think it was $25 or something plus the $89 for one hour of his time. It takes minutes to install and I know how to do it now.

A month or two earlier I had asked to have some AC chains come out for a checkup. Both of them said the capacitor was going bad and they would fix it. Both said it would cost $220 for the part plus labor of something like 2 hours. Shame on me for not fixing it right after they left (I forgot), but I knew right away that they were trying to rape me.

Quite honestly I think the big twitch streamers and hardcore players have been bored with lack of content for awhile now. They were the last people to complain and I think they want to play other games. This gives them an excuse to stop playing Destiny. I still enjoy playing it because I have all the trophies I'm going to get and it's just mindless fun now, despite me raging and yelling at my tv screen after a few rift matches in Iron Banner yesterday (rift was a poor choice for IB).

Yeah, it didnt know what it wanted to be. It wasnt arcade or sim but some bastard child of both. The online was annoying, but some of the single player stuff seemed more difficult really.

Yeah, I read the Lemmings thing as I was catching up. Might stay away from it too now.

I was on that train pretty hardcore for a while, glad to be off it finally, it was about the only game I played for the better part of a year, much happier play different stuff all the time.
