i thought we were still finishing rdr mp and castlevania hod next month. It was going to be Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
Yes that's exactly what would happen. Making only some majors eligible for federal loans would significantly drive down the costs of those non-eligible majors, or even more likely schools would do away with them entirely. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing is a different argument, one we have at my work regularly. Is it better to provide as many options as possible for students, or is it better to provided fewer pathways that have proven to be more successful?Wouldn't that though drive the costs down for other majors? What would schools do that teach all those other majors do if no one but the richest of people could afford to go to school and most other kids couldn't get a loan?
And honestly some majors are just junk. Why piss way tens of thousands of dollars to make $70K a year (going by the article kilik linked).
On another board/forum I go to many of the people there are pretty educated eggheads. Many are engineers and the like. However some aren't and think there is some great value in getting a college education is anything.that. If it is going to put you way in the hole and not really give you great earning potential why bother. Fine if mommy and daddy are going to pay for your nonsense degree but if you have to take out loans it should be in a field that pays well and required a higher education.
There's a revolving rack opposite the counter. You can't miss it.I am going to Gamestop tonight to get rid of some of these games that Best Buy is giving next to nothing for. I havent traded in to GS in a long time. There isnt some special hand shake now right?
Also, where do they have the PSN or Amazon or any other gift cards located? I dont want to be in there any longer than I have to and I am not buying any games there at any point now or int he future.
They will try to get you to preorder every game in existence like usual, but there is no secret handshake.I am going to Gamestop tonight to get rid of some of these games that Best Buy is giving next to nothing for. I have a family of video games and blu-rays. Does that mean I'm not a robot? And obviously some people aren't robots and would want to have a wife and family which also costs a lot of money.
$9.99. Comes out on Friday supposedly. Can't say anything yet but my review and impressions should be out on Friday.how much is AIPD going to be again?
Said he lives in washington, assuming the state. depending on where, 70k might not be that much. 70k there might be more like 40k compared to bumYes that's exactly what would happen. But $70K is a nice salary IMO, I don't make that much. If I made $70k and lived exactly how I do now in Utah, I could pay off a $200K debt in 6 years. Maybe that's different for the author and you since you live in the Northeast, I don't know. And obviously some people aren't robots and would want to have a wife and family which also costs a lot of money.
Your JD sure was.My political science major would have totally been worthy of a loan.
10 years ago IT helpdesk positions were 50K or so here in the NE (a bit more in NYC and probably Boston). You didn't need a college education. You could be self taught maybe take the A++ exam.Yes that's exactly what would happen. It would actually be great to watch the federal government rate every different major and assign percentages:My political science major would have totally been worthy of a loan.
can you post a gif related to whether or not you like it?$9.99. Comes out on Friday supposedly. Can't say anything yet but my review and impressions should be out on Friday.
I honestly haven't bought a game in I think two months but that and Saturday Morning RPG look to be day one buys.$9.99. Comes out on Friday supposedly. Can't say anything yet but my review and impressions should be out on Friday.
Also Mpaullin has been playing it on X1, and can talk more about it since he isn't held to any sort of embargo.$9.99. Comes out on Friday supposedly. Can't say anything yet but my review and impressions should be out on Friday.
Our help desk technicians don't make that now.10 years ago IT helpdesk positions were 50K or so here in the NE (a bit more in NYC and probably Boston). You didn't need a college education. You could be self taught maybe take the A++ exam.
But now a days more and more positions that didn't used to require a degree do. For a while we even required a 2 year degree for customer service. Stupid requirement and I even told the HR manager that.
Supposedly some Game Stops will not let you buy Amazon CG with credit. Here in NY I have never had an issue. In fact last time I asked the guy behind the counter were the Amazon GCs were he pointed at the rack and said not sure if we sell them but if we do they would be on that rack. They had both the $50 and $25 Kindle cards and I told him they work on Amazon he was like cool and rang me up.I am going to Gamestop tonight to get rid of some of these games that Best Buy is giving next to nothing for. Funny the one near my job doesn't seem to be nearly as aggressively. Occasionally they ask but not like the ones near my house. They will try to get you to preorder every game in existence like usual, but there is no secret handshake.
Should be a large rotating display with all manner of gift card type things on on it. Usually a side dedicated to PSN stuff. At least that is how every Gamestop here is.
Do you really think other Health Sciences would be lower than engineering? I guess a lot of those do not go on to medical school so I could see a separation of undergrad and grad degrees in those majors. It would actually be great to watch the federal government rate every different major and assign percentages:
Qualify for 100% of loans - Computer Science and Engineering
90% - Nursing
80% - Business, other Health Sciences
60% - Poly Sci
10% - Art History
But imagine like 200+ different majors all being ranked by federal gov't accountants. It would be hilarious.
How much is a 1 bedroom room apartment? Don't forget I work in Westchester County, NY. I don't live in Westchester anymore but a 1 bedroom here or even a couple counties North where I do live is $1200 to start. I think we were paying $1370 when we left the last place and bought a house. Our help desk technicians don't make that now.
Which is likely why you think they suck. Our help desk technicians don't make that now.
Yup. 10+ years ago when visiting my cousins out west (Omaha, NE) we got to talking and one asked me what I made. I told them and they said if you could make that here you could live really well. Problem is they don't pay the same there.Again, bumutah aint NE.
You cant compare salaries apples to apples for different areas of the country.

Westchester also has some of the highest taxes and utilities in the nation.
My ex wife's family is from Westchester. They took me to see the Westchester country club when we went up for her grandmothers funeral. Pretty snazzy place up on a hill. It was pretty surreal too for a Florida boy as everything was covered in 1 or 2 inches of snow. It was beautiful really. How much is a 1 bedroom room apartment? Do you mean at just Gamestop or any store in general? I've gotten Amazon cards at GS in the past, but I think the last time was 2013. I'm not sure if they still have them.Hey pitfall, do you know if you can get amazon credit in indiana? I thought I read somewhere they didn't have the cards here at all, but if they do, I'll go back and look for some for the exclusives they're getting.
Nah I have bought Kindle cards at 3 or 4 different Game Stops with credit they don't care here. Wonder why other areas stopped selling them. Sucked when Best Buy did that. You must have given the nod and a wink followed with a hush.
can you post a gif related to whether or not you like it?
thats not really "saying" anything.
Just gamestop, and yeah I don't think I've seen them lately, but I haven't been looking very hard. I normally just pick up PSN cards or gifts when I have GS credit.Do you mean at just Gamestop or any store in general? I've gotten Amazon cards at GS in the past, but I think the last time was 2013. California has us beat on power (so does Hawaii) but the cost of living depending on what numbers/reports you believe are among the highest. San Fran is off the charts though.#nope
Never really been in the market for one, but I'd guess about half that price for a mid-tier one around the valley. How much is a 1 bedroom room apartment? I have never been there. Outside my social circle (or wallet). Not a golfer but my dad is. I doubt he has ever played there. If he did it was as someones guest. I will have to ask him.My ex wife's family is from Westchester. They took me to see the Westchester country club when we went up for her grandmothers funeral. Pretty snazzy place up on a hill. There is nothing around here for $600. Perhaps in the wrong part of some city maybe. Past that there really isn't anything for under $800 for a studio. At least nothing you would want to live in.Never really been in the market for one, but I'd guess about half that price for a mid-tier one around the valley.
I don't really know what a GS or Step is so I don't know how to use this.I didn't realize how much gets lumped into the "Rest of US" locality, but I'm sure Tyler could still kill a few minutes looking at this:
https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/pay-leave/salaries-wages/2016/general-schedule-gs-salary-calculator/
Something like $10 I think even more actually. I don't go into the city much anymore. I live far enough North that our bridge crossings are only $1.50. One closest to my parents is being replaced. I think at one point there was talk of the toll being like $22 or some insanity. I think it will be more like $10-$15. Train to NYC from my job is like $350 a month not including parking at the station last I looked a few years ago.New Yorkers and probably people in Boston and other big cities in the NE pay aton just to get anywhere. Whether its the train, a taxi or driving you own car over a bridge that is what $10 one way?
