PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Finally beat Broken Age, man I was stuck on a puzzle during Act 2 for so long..

Weird how the game just....
ends abruptly

Not sure if I want to start Grim Fandango for the first time yet my brain can only take so much.
Your first spoiler tag is broken. The word is singular. Take out the extra "s" at the end. I still wanna finish the game.

Lost Girl isn't great, tbh. It starts pretty weak and goes up and down in quality. There's a few really fun characters, though. Kenzi especially. I'd say about half the characters are really good and the other half are a bit annoying.
I enjoyed Lost Girl but haven't watched the last season yet. Kenzi is awesome. The actress was on Orphan Black for a little bit too. That's another show I need to watch the most recent season of.

There's some really fun stuff in it, like when they're drugged/magic into acting weird or when they had the body swap thing going on and (IIRC) Kenzi was being crazy as Dyson. I would have liked the show a lot more if I enjoyed Bo and Lauren's characters/actresses, but the rest of the cast was pretty good for the most part. Kenzi was definitely my favorite, though.

Yeah catch up on Orphan Black. Last season was pretty good. There was tons of great stuff with Donny and Allison and Helena especially. Great cliffhanger ending. S4 starts in June, I think? Tatiana does such a ridiculous job playing all those roles. It's great that the clones pretend to be each other and you can still tell which is which. "Okay, so that's Tatiana playing Helena pretending to be Alison."

Helena is the best clone.

Yeah Lauren kind of gets on my nerves. Almost like a trying to hard to be sciency with her talk. I have no problem with Bo. The body swap episode was awesome.

Tatiana is amazing. I think I read she was a finalist for Star Wars Episode VIII casting. They're really trying to have some badass women in the franchise. For OB I'm partial to Cosima so my friend got me a Funko Pop of her recently. I really enjoy all the clones. Alison and Helena grew on me. And yeah the clone imitation stuff is the best.

The wife has Funkos of all of them, I think.

You'll love s3 for Alison and Helena. They get a lot of focus. Helena and Donnie become friendly, too, which is just really funny to see.

More gameplay for World of Final Fantasy:

Hopefully they'll fix the pre-battle load time--12-15 seconds is pretty ridiculous.

So here's a weird thing. I can't get all my trophies for Three Fourths Home to sync.

I watched all of them pop, even took a screen of the last one in my Notification Center thing, but when I sync, it won't show the last few I earned this morning.

I tried refreshing trophies several times, hard powered off the Vita, and playing another game, but still nothing.

It is the universe telling you that you need a PS4 even more to get those last few trophies.

Also, I cant believe that game found another way to be awful.

We talked about this not too long ago, that setting is a misnomer. Doesnt do what youd think it would do. Power save mode means the wifi chip uses less batter at all times. When you change it to not use that, it boosts the power used by wifi chip and helps give you a better wifi connection. Has nothing to do with turning off when going into sleep mode. With either the box checked or unchecked, when you hit the power button to sleep, wifi is turned off. You can tell this by signing in and then putting it to sleep, when it turns back on you will see the wifi pop up in the corner again and it will sign you back in to psn and you'll get the notices again about friends online, etc.

tldr that setting has nothing to do with wifi sleeping, but while the system is in use would indeed use more battery but in my experience doesnt hurt battery life much if any.
I have seen what you're talking about where it reconnects to the wifi after waking up. But it must connect and disconnect at some point(s) while in sleep mode. The blue light wouldn't slowly go on and off telling you there is a unread notification or message if it wasn't as there wouldn't be a way for it to know without connecting. And it has to connect if you have the download updates, games, sync trophies, upload game saves options checked. Maybe it's staying connected to the Wifis on the Vitas that are draining versus the ones that aren't. Or maybe it's having an issue connecting to do those auto updates. The store's been a pain in the ass on the Vita for me lately where it will lose connectivity or not be able to connect and I have to retry a few times before it reconnects.

Picked up Tomb Raider DE from Amazon with the no rush shipping credits. I had $8 worth so nothing out of pocket is even better. Now I can join the MP fun.

I bought these on PSN last night. The 20% code worked from the console too. Picked up Qbert since it was less then $20 for all three games with the code. Will put it on my Vita I guess and mess with it. Most retro games like this end up being too damn hard for me to play more then a couple hours though.

Played some SR4 with my friend. Got 3 or 4 hours in doing mostly the main missions. Then fired up Sleeping Dogs and started chasing down the various collectibles since there are like 4 or 5 collectible trophies.

Finally got around to playing the division beta. I'm still interested in it. Definitely not looking as pretty as I expected, but the game play is interesting enough. With the bby cert, I'll probably still end up grabbing it at launch, especially since it seems like you'll need people on the servers. Has the trophy list for this popped up anywhere yet?

I found an email about my no-rush credit by searching for "no-rush" in my email. It has a link but I think it's unique to you. Anyway, I only have $1 credit. :(

I'm playing SR4 solo but it's still pretty fun. I've knocked out all the side missions at this point and am now working on the remaining challenges and collectibles before I move forward more with the story. I've already hit level 50 so I'm maxed there and I'm also maxed out on all my character upgrades, too, so I'm just banking money now. I'm really hoping I don't get that trophy glitch for the powers. Once I finish all the challenges I'll make a save and then finish upgrading my powers--hopefully the trophy will pop.

And, fuck you Operaton Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy

I really, really, really  wanted to like you.

I like dungeon crawlers, and don't even mind games without clear directions but this is  too much.

  • Unlock the area to the east so the military squad can get in.
  • Go through the convoluted dungeon (travel up and down stairs in order to move a few squares over on the main floor)
  • Find the locked door. Realize you need a key that can only be made from fusing two other keys together. (key is not available from store, and there are a limited number of the usable keys for purchase)
  • Create key, unlock door, press switch.  Travel across shock floor that shocks you even though you have enfloat.
  • Use item to escape from dungeon to save and heal.
  • Oh hey, the door was unlocked, but re-locks upon exiting.
  • Re-load, try again.
  • Consult gamefaqs and japaneese wikia only to discover the creature who should be there to drop a power key doesn't show up for some reason.
  • Realize I need to travel somewhere else, some random spot in the dungeon to trigger a story event? Maybe?

fuck this.  I really like dungeon crawlers too.

On to that Ar Tonelico game or that Tales of Hearts one.

I vote Tales of Hearts.

Don't forget that Demon Gaze had something similar, though. There's a chest monster (IIRC) in that large garden labyrinth that you come across and then later on in the story the woman who runs the inn makes a trip out there. One of the characters in the inn mentions it, but if you didn't catch it you have no way of knowing where to go. Without killing the chest there's no way to progress in the game since he drops a key that you need. I ended up completely exploring the next dungeon and getting stuck because I didn't have the key until I googled where I was in the game and realized I'd skipped the trip back to kill that chest.

That sounds awful.

Nope but hopefully its just grinding trophies and no random luck ones. I think derek is abandoning us and joinijg microsoft so it seems to be cro, caniac, you, and me.

Naa. Just an older approach to gaming. Lots of older games were the same way where if you didn't pay attention you wouldn't know where to go next. Nowadays most have a built-in quest tracking system to tell you exactly where to go but I don't think a game missing that is necessarily bad.

I'm playing at a Game of Thrones pinball launch party and the bar has a lot of Pinball Arcade machines. So nice to play them in real life again. Except that Bride of Pinbot is completely changed with new code and little different play field and it's a tad confusing.

I hope it did. Just posted a taunting comment on her FB account to rub in what great news this is. :whistle2:

Tomorrow we start BSG s4. I'm really not looking forward to the end of the show. It's had its ups and downs so far but I know it ends on an ultra-shitty note, though I've managed to not get spoiled on the content despite how long it's been out.

Any good shows that started recently? I want to check out Blindspot but other than that only Lucifer is on my radar for new shows this past Fall/Spring. Right now I think we're about to be stuck marathoning the backlog of shows we've started but haven't finished; Lost Girl, White Collar, Leverage, Mentalist, and a few others.
The Expanse (on syfy) has been good so far. it's a fairly grounded depiction of a space-faring future. The 100 is also great. Though it's on its 3rd season, they are cable length seasons.

I watch Blindspot, but it's not the greatest. Definitely skippable. I love White Collar, but I'm biased because I have a buddy who's on it. I need to start Lost Girl.
I got started on lost girl but then netflix stopped stocking seasons on disc around season 2 or 3 and syfy doesn't air the older seasons.

If you want some more of a Kenzi actress fix, she pops up on Turn: Washington's Spies in a regular role. That is another show that is quite entertaining (though I have no idea how accurate it is).

And if you're wondering why the flurry of catch-up posts

f23j2s.jpg

When I saw someone mention in here it's base trade-in value was $10 yesterday (I paid like $6.49 after GCU) I considered just flipping it in unplayed and picking it up later cheaper digital, but instead decided to blast through it. I Thought I was screwed when I got to the end and missed the "do all lantern constructs" trophy. But a quick google search showed the two most likely places you would miss it despite the Trophy guide saying it can't be missed when going for plat.

First there's a level where you CAN build 2 bridges from green lantern constructs, but it's pointless because half of the characters in that level can fly.

The other is in the boss battle with Sinestro, it's a game of rock paper scissors. He puts up one and then you pick 1 of the 3 constructs that beats his pick. Well he threw paper once, but the 3 pads aren't marked so I threw paper at the same time, and then he never threw it again so I never activated the "scissors" construct. Building it doesn't count, you have to actually use it.

So was able to trade in Lost Dimension and Lego Batman 3 Vita under the wire late this afternoon for $27 (those were the only games I have left that are recent enough to have a decent value) as I am doing something else early this evening.

Agents of SHIELD season 2 done. Do seasons show up on Netflix right after the season air is over or later then that?
Most abc stuff I think shows up a little bit before the next season airs.
I guess we are never going to catch up.
Don't listen to kilik. Season 2 ended last May and it was on netflix in June. That is abnormally early for a network show, but I assume marvel and netflix's relationship with all the original series is why.

Looks like I'm going to switch to 40 down/5 up DSL here in a week or so. Never been on DSL before, only Cable. Any differences I should notice between the two? I'm assuming they'll function rather similarly...

The main thing is to hope you are physically close enough to the wiring cabinet and the twisted pair from your house to it are in good shape to be able to actually get those speeds. Outside of that, they both just give you internet service and you shouldn't see any difference.

When is the multiplayer circle jerk happening?

Do they show up on a digital purchase page for a movie where it has the little 'check your balance' or whatever link? It only shows up on the desktop site I think.
Add a digital item to your cart and go to checkout. Before you finalize the order it will show you the credits. Worked on mobile for me.

I'm thinking of starting The 100 next. I've been seeing so much Clark and Lexa stuff on Tumblr that I'm interested.

Yeah I've heard of that. Might watch it eventually.

Also, Assassin's Creed II was my fave. Only played 1, 2 and Brotherhood though.
