This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Unfortunately, we don't have Tony anymore; AmazonJosh certainly Josh'd us all; and now Amazon DVG ain't what it used to be.

BTW - been Beta Testing tonight The Division. I can see exactly why this game has NO NDA's and why it's in an Open-Beta State this weekend. This baby feels really like it's primed and already ready to go right now - action's great; graphics on Medium look and run quite well; and I'm just digging the look + atmosphere of this game. If the servers don't get killed at launch, I smell this game's gonna be a hit - a really big hit.

Most of us knew that the Amazon deals would not last. We told you:)

Gotta disagree about the Division. This was the game I was most looking forward to behind Metal Gear, and the gunplay is so meh. I will still get it but it wont be the shit. 7.5 out of 10. It looks pretty except for all the generic ass looking enemies. Really ruins the immersion. The UI/HUD is shit too.

So the CAGs took to the DZ for a late night unplanned Bronight. :)  (YBX87, Daykain, Asheskitty, and myself)

Though first "Y" and I power leveled Ashes the last level she needed for level 8 via the hospital which went pretty smoothly...  I think we've all ran that mission enough to have it inscribed on the back of are eyelids.  (it's still fun though, just don't ask me how.)

Then as I said we took to the DZ for a whole lot of PvE action...  We extracted a few loads then while I was looking at the map I saw that Daykain was in the same instance a one road above us.  An invite, followed by a bit of time and we made connections (he was busying, I guess, getting ganked by griefers), and steam rolled PvE bad guys at various locations.  The named bad guys are much more frequent in the zone now.  (Daykain even showed up a new area I didn't know about...  A sporting goods store that was like three stories tall and filled with like 18 looters all in need of a steady diet of lead. 

Daykain even popped open a number of DZ chests for us...  Before it was over we all had extracted allot of items.  I stuffed my inventory so full I couldn't extract anymore.  (The full compliment of 30, which you want to be careful off as you cannot access your stash in the DZ and you cannot leave the DZ with contaminated gear.)

Anyhow, we only saw one pack of players and not a single shot was fired...  Though we could have totally wiped them out at the extraction zone if we had wanted too.

PS Be careful around YBX87.  He was (and likely still is) just dying to go rogue! :lol:

Like Nitrosmob, I can't get into it. Maybe not for the same reasons as him (no boobs and tentacles) but modern (or even post modern) military guy shooters do nothing for me. When I see Call of Duty, Battlefield or Tom Clancy I just pass. I don't want to play something that looks like I'm watching the evening news, even if all the cool kids are playing it.

I need an edge or an angle. Give me swords and spears, or a car with a harpoon, or even a giant dildo bat. Just something not like the real world right now, thanks. (and no, a thin backstory about smallpox takin over 'murica doesn't count)

In non-Division related bronews, HitlerCat, Reds#### and I played 3 rounds of Killing Floor (original) last night.  We actually won two of the rounds, which probably means we were playing on Easy.  But hey, I got a bunch of achievements out of the deal for killing the end boss and didn't feel like a complete waste of space as usually happens when playing KF with the bros.

Moved onto Rocket League afterwards, sans Reds.  Put out the brosignal, but everyone else was "washing their hair."  Tried out the new Rocket Labs arenas which are great fun and a nice change of pace/strategy, and then mopped up a bunch of filthy console scum in regular matches (we actually lucked into a well balanced Chaos lobby that stayed full for nearly an hour).  Need to play more of this.  I had been getting burned out on RL, mostly due to my rank being higher than my actual skill level thanks to playing tons of AI matches.  It's far more fun in a party.

BTW if you guys had mentioned to me ahead of time that you were going to switch to Rocket League, I would've played. I wasn't interested in KF1 so I went to sleep.

So you guys had 5 in a team? I had been wondering if there was a max group size or not and last I remember they had mentioned something about 4

 
I was away from home last night, otherwise I would have joined all the Division, KF, Rocket League fun. Spoder hates KF cuz he sux and can't hax.

I'm usually with Motoki on the modern shooters w/o zombies, but I think the Black Friday bird flu backstory along with the relatively cheap fakeybro pricing has me on this one.

The complaints are valid though. It is a lot of traveling between doing stuff and most of the enemies look the same. I hope those issues are fixed once the main game is released.

Oh I'll play games that I suck at, but I'd rather try KF2 than KF1. I suck at Rocket League too but I'd have played that lol

(Also holy crap all these flu outbreaks, I hadn't thought of The Stand in years. I read the book twenty years ago.)

Just so everyone knows... You can fast travel to hubs (The camp where the helicopter lands, Base of Operations), mission start points, and friends in your party. (Open the map, highlight the icon in question, click the fast travel button, click to confirm.)

Also, the special event vendor gave me three dark zone keys today... Not sure why or when this became an option. (But its nice considering I've only had two drop in both beta's combined.)

RE: Rocket League PS4 Peasants.

It has crossplay between PC and PS4 ya know.  I don't think you can make a team with people from other platform, but you can make a private game and anyone can join.

 
I'm installing it!  We'll see how it goes in an hour.  We're not all little kids with no real life responsibilities besides finding glitch games at 2am  :shame:
