The best way to get a defend event trophy is to check every day or 2 at the start of a war. When no homeworld assault is going on there is a random chance that a race will assault the capital city of a sector and start driving you back to super earth. If it reaches super Earth then a 48 hour defend event begins and if that one is lost then the war is lost, so everyone is forced to help stop it. I do find it silly that Arrowhead doesn't have a twitter account or something that automatically tweets / sends notifications when an event is going on.

That game is too much damn work to figure out what the hell is happening when and what counts towards what. I agree they need some kind of Twitter account or app to tell you what's happening.

I've got everything (except the throw perk which comes at lvl 26) so if no one online has an APC I can hop on to help. If you are short a person, I believe the host can turn on a second controller and bring a duplicate of himself into an online match.

How I got it was I joined a low level game with 3 people already in it and tossed out an APC. Newer players love vehicles so all of them generally pile in without much prompting.

I've got a Pokemon game for the 3DS. Y or Z or something, I dunno. Haven't played it. It'll be my first Pokemon. A billion games sold must speak to something halfway decent, right?

Surprised it took this long for someone to ask this. Anyways, I have had to be patient here as life has gotten in the way this week. We are going to Fly Bar on Tuesday next week. It used to be and I assume still is a pretty hip place downtown.

Yeah it should be pretty easy. I wouldn't mind using the APC trick to get that 80% accuracy trophy too since I tried it legit on a low level bug planet last night and got randomly disconnected before I could extract :wall:

Oh, I've got the APC too. I've already got the Friday night trophy, but I still need the use a revive when all 4 people are down one so maybe I can get that while helping tonight?

 
If one didn't care about getting the plat, I think it would be quite fun. But you have to jump through quite a few hoops / be a little lucky with your online times to get the plat. There is enough variety of weapons and stratagems that you can cycle through to change up how you play. If you challenge yourself with lvl 9+ dives it can be quite engaging, but if you are just grinding lower level missions for easy completes its going to get really boring.

The Order 1886: Up to Chapter 9, it's great. People suck. It's the perfect game for old dudes that have barely any time lately to play anything. I mean shit I played it like 2 or 3 times and I'm up to Chapter 9! Maybe they should have put that on the box:

ATTN: For old dudes with little time to play games! 

EDIT: Young dudes laugh as they played it 1 time and finished it.

Ya, always a good idea to go into offline mode when trying for a specific trophy while solo.

Yeah, it's more fun when you're not as worried about the plat. I'll get whatever trophies I can if the timing works out, or people are playing anyway. But otherwise, it's kind of fun to pick up and play every now and then.

 
The Vita's release list has turned into a magical golden bridge that leads directly to Japan.

I guess I'd be happier if I cared about any percentage of those games.

Yeah, they could add lots of great bullet points to the box:

  • In between 10 minute shooting sections, you can slowly walk through the linear environment and occasionally pick stuff up and look at it! Picked up stuff can be rotated clockwise and counterclockwise to improve your looking enjoyment.

I wouldn't mind getting that too if I happen to be online when you're doing it, but if worse comes to worse you can do it yourself if you have a few controllers.

Go into offline mode on your ship, turn on another controller, press X to have them join. If you don't have 4 controllers, change the port and keep adding until you have a full game. Pick a lvl 8+ mission and bring along a napalm air strike. Drop as far away from objectives as possible and then immediately grenade to death your clones. Toss the napalm, then barely touch it to down yourself, crawl away, and then throw the reinforcement stratagem.

Plants v Zombies GW2 is very fun so far. The hub world has a ridiculous amount of things to do along with easter eggs and hidden stuff everywhere.

This looks great. Have you played their previous games? I enjoyed both the Dishwasher games quite a bit, the 2nd one was right on the borderline of greatness. Really good combat for a 2D game.

I can't believe they didn't make them even longer by making Gallahad blow dust off of each relic each time in slow motion. Yeah the walking portion sucks...they really need to speed his geriatric ass up! It wouldn't have been as bad if it was quick...but then that would be another 1 to 1.5 hours lost.

Not that they've announced. Kind of surprised they haven't done a pokemon line with at least the starters from all the generations or something. There's a chance they'll do a few more for when pokken tournament launches though. They might just stay away from it since the last pokemon amiibo-like thing was a bust. There's too many of them and a lot of the more popular ones already got the amiibo treatment with the smash series.

Yes, if the trophy was for tossing out the reinforcement stratagem when your entire team was dead (including you), I would have had that trophy naturally about a half dozen times by now as lots of times I've been the last one and died with it in my hands which triggers a full 4 person respawn. But you have to be downed and alive when the reinforcements come to get the trophy.

No, I didn't even realize they had other games. Looks like they were 360-only, so that'd explain it.
